A Summer Wedding and a Disney Trip CANCELLED, HELP DECIDE WHEN WE'LL GO IN 2011

Sounds like everything is coming together beautifully for the wedding!!! I think the venue is gorgeous!!!! Are you going to have one of those chocolate fountains for your reception? I like to park that baby right on my kitchen table :rotfl2:!!!

Wow Pam! What an awesome find on your DJ! Way to go! :thumbsup2 I'm excited for you too.:banana::banana:

We went to a reception with a chocolate fountain and yummy fruit and such and it was awesome. The kids really loved it.

Yeah, I wish I could have that going on at my reception!

Oh Pam....it all sounds really wonderful! I am very, very happy for you. My friend Heidi found another DJ for me who also does photography. It's a father and son duo so one takes pics and one dj's. And that together is $450, so I have an email into him right now. I tell you, I don't know what I'd do without my friend Heidi!!!!;) It sounds like you have everything coming together beautifully! This Saturday we have to go put the deposit down on the venue and go to a cake tasting! That should be fun. I also just received the confirmation that the engagement announcement will be going into the papers on February 14th. How fitting, eh?

I haven't read anything about how Janine made it through the blizzard. I hope she posts soon so we know she's fine. I can't wait for us all to be in Disney!!!! :woohoo:

Wow, great deal on your dj and photography, that's awesome!! Even better than my deal!!!

What a fun weekend!! That chocolate fountain is making me want to run out to the Melting Pot right now!! Yummy! Glad you got so much accomplished for the wedding-- $525 is really a terrific price for a DJ, especially for a wedding.
I'm with the kids-- the superbowl is definitely more about snacks and commercials for us than football! I was also not a fan of the halftime show.

Yeah, things are getting done! And I was definitely waiting for the commercials too. I love them!

No, no chocolate fountain at my wedding! It would cost $750 for 100 people. If you did a new booking at the bridal show you were getting that bad boy for free if you had a minimum amount of 100 guests! What a great deal huh?

Wow, I haven't been on the boards in days!!! I've just had so much to do! Manny and the kids just left, they are going to Monster Mini golf. If you're not sure what that is it's mini golf in the dark, with monsters of course. Very cool. Everything glows neon green!

I just finished baking calzones for a baby shower for a girl at work tonight. I'm getting ready to leave shortly!

And tomorrow is valentine's day! Not too sure what we're doing, we were thinking about going out to eat! I bought the kids some chocolate and jewelry boxes for the girls and a box for Anthony. They came from Michael's crafts and they are wood to paint, so I also bought new paint. The girls will love it and Anthony is always throwing everything all over the place too, so he'll have something to keep important things in. His does not look like a jewelry box at all, don't worry. It's actually wood and the top is black. It's neat! I just figured instead of buying another stuffed animal i'd do something different this year. I was going to buy them a new dress and Ant a t shirt, but I just picked them each up a few new outfits last week, so I didn't think it would be anything special. They'd just be getting more new clothes!

Manny had voses, a balloon and a teddy bear delivered to work, it was very nice. I'll post a pic of them tomorrow!

Well, have a nice night and weekend everyone!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!

Mmmmm.....Calzones- that sounds great right about now!!!!!!!! Do you make them for scratch?

Your Valentines day gifts sound adorable!!!! Funny, because I had picked up Austin a few things at Michael's (and for our disney trip too :cloud9:) earlier in the week. They have like this $1 section at our Michael's, and I bought 3 disney lanyards (one Toy Story, one Cars, and one Tinker Bell) at $1.00 a piece!!!!! They also had all kinds of other disney things. I bought Austin one of those zip up pencil cases (Toy Story) and some Toy Story pencils to go with it. I also bought a Princess one for myself (:lmao:) to use as a makeup bag when we go to disney. Oh, and I bought him two disney puzzles from the Dollar Tree.

That's awesome that Manny sent you roses to your job :lovestruc!!!!!!!!!! I told Bill that all I wanted this year for Valentine's, our Anniversery (5/01), and my Birthday (7/05) is a Disney Trip!!!! We'll see if he sneaks something else in (he usually does, but I told him not to).

Have fun at the Baby Shower!

Hi Pam!
wow what a great job on the DJ and the pianist!! :yay: the room for the reception looks great and roomy!

What a great job Manny did on Valentine's ! have a great weekend!

I may need to watch to see when a small chocolate fountain goes on sale and buy a few to keep for Gwendolyn's wedding (someday) and to use around the house :rolleyes1:

:wave2:

Ooo, I've never seen all of the cute Disney stuff in Michaels. I'm there often enough now with the wedding, so the next time i'm in there i'll look around more. I need to start picking up a lot of cute and fun stuff seeing how it looks like we're going to be driving.

Thanks, yeah, that fountain is quite a treat!!!

Hope you had a fabulous Valentine's Day with the family!:love:

Thanks!

Hello, hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day! Ours was ok, we went to visit Manny's aunt and uncle and then went out to eat! I had bought a valentine's cake so we came home and had that. My brother stopped by with more chocolates for the kids! :cool1: Gawrsh, I love those valentines chocolates!

The kids are on february break this week, so we planned a few things. Last night we went to Chuck e cheese. I'll put some pictures up later. I actually forgot my camera, which is rare, so I had to take pics on my phone, so I just have to email them myself!
We were supposed to go to the movies today to see Planet 51 with my friend and her daughters, but first off is snowed and Manny had to take my truck to work and second, I am sick :scared1: I started feeling crappy last night and my throat hurt. Well, I was up all night sucking on cough drops and coughing. It hurts so bad this morning I can barely speak! It really sucks. I'm hoping this don't last for a few days! So, we rescheduled the movie for friday!
So, the kids are just playing with their goodies that they got from chuck e cheese last night after cashing in their tickets.

Oh, when we were there last night I was watching the girls play up in the tubes. Well, there was this boy, around 9 and then a little boy around 2. The parents were no where to be seen because the older brother kept kicking the 2 yr old in the legs and making him fall, not a tap, I mean kicking. Everyone around was looking at them mortified. The 2 yr old kept getting back and up and continuing to play, he must have been used to that treatment. It was just ridiculous. Then there was another boy around 3 who was climbing up the skeeball thing. And sitting where you would roll the balls up. I told my kids to continue playing, if the dumb kid got hit by the ball, then shame on his neglectful parents. A few minutes later, the mom comes looking for him, she's screaming at him to come down and he's laughing at her, not budging. By the time it was time to go, I wondered if there was a full moon, cause i've never seen such craziness all in one place.

Anyway, here are the flowers Manny had sent to work for me!

There was a pink teddy bear attached to the bottom of the vase, but Sam already freed him!

Manny is so sweet-- love the roses!! I can't believe some people-- misbehaving kids who don't get any discipline from their parents trun into bad adults!! Who would allow such an older kid to beat up practically a baby??
We had a lovely Valentine's Day, too  I do hope you feel better soon, though, Pam!!

Hi Pam!!! Now I am really not looking forward to going to Chuck E Cheese. Victoria wants to bring her friend there for her birthday celebration on Saturday. Ugh! The last time we went it was so busy we didn't even get a table to sit at! And I hate it when the parents aren't looking at what their children are doing.

Your flowers are beautiful. You have a keeper there in Manny!!!

Yes, Manny can be sweet SOMETIMES!! :goodvibes And these kids, yea, they were horrible. The 9 yr old kicking the baby was terrible. And why would you think it's ok to let your baby walk away from you. I don't even let my kids out of my sight. You never know who's a predator these days

Yes, Chuck e Cheese is a really fun place... depending on how busy it is. If you go on a weekend afternoon it's very crowded. And not like disney crowded, cause Disney is big. Chuck e Cheese is not so big! It gets very hot and usually smells like stinky feet. We went at 7:00pm and it's open til 10p. PERFECT TIME. Everyone was starting to clear out, there were empty tables...

Your roses are beautiful. I need to post my Valentine flowers.

It looks like your plans are coming along quite well :thumbsup2. July will be here before you know it. I know your wedding is going to be fantastic :goodvibes.

Oh, boy, I hope so! I am actually behind considering that the wedding is only 5 months away! I'm getting a little stressed out. I actually had to make myself not think about the wedding at all this week! If felt good!

I am so sick today! :guilty: And I have to go to work for 4pm. I could call out cause I never do, but I really can't take a full day's pay missing next week! I think i'm going to go in for a few hours at least. That's pretty much all I think I can take!

Today my head hurts, i'm cold, my eyes are watering, my nose is stuffy but at the same time it's running. Oh and I look like hell! But, my throat is better. Oh, yesterday I thought I was going to cry that's how bad it hurt. So, i'll deal with this stuff any day over that sore throat.

Anyway, only a few more weeks til I (and quite a few of us) can check out our park hours. That is so exciting to me!! I wonder if when park hours come out if they will know which days MNSSHP will be held. Does anyone remember from previous years if the dates are announced when the hours come out or when the tickets go on sale in May?

I feel like there is just so much to do for the wedding (and there is) that by the time I get to making T shirts and laminating all of my plans on index cards (like I did last year) that it will be rushed just like the wedding planning is! Although I think getting ready for Disney is a lot less stressful!

I hope you feel better soon Pam!

I don't remember last year about when the dates were released, but it seems silly for them to release hours without the dates. We should be able to tell by whether there is Spectro and Wishes on certain nights. If there's no Wishes, then it's Hallowishes and a party. Of course, they could just give us the hours and then change everything but that makes no sense to me!

Hey Pam, Just checking in on you to see if you are feeling better. Hopefully, you are! My mother used to make me gargle with warm salt water when I had a sore throat and it works!

True!! Yeah, I am just waiting so impatiently for those darn hours!

How are you feeling Pam????

Oh, better, thank you! That was some cold

Boy, if I heard that on tuesday I certainly would have given it a try! My throat was on FIRE!!!

Ok, I feel like such a bad diser! I have been so busy lately that I have not been on 3 times a day like usual! I've been sick all week, plus trying to do some fun things with the kids cause they have the week off from school! Manny took them to Monster mini golf, I took them to chuck e cheese and the movies, we also went out to eat a few times and tomorrow we're going to Manny's aunt's house for lunch and then my grandmother's house for dinner. We got invited and didn't want to tell either one of them no! So needless to say, we'll be eating all day!

I am all better. That was a terrible cold.... or whatever it was.

Oh and it's 2am right now! What am I doing up you ask? Well, Emily just came in my room about an hour ago crying because her head hurt, then she said her stomach hurt. :headache: Oh ,boy. I think she is finally sleeping. We're both on the couch (I have a sectional, so we're both gonna sleep here) Maybe we'll end up going no where tomorrow! Oh, boy, we'll see.

On a happier note, I'm closer to the arrival of the park hours AND MY TICKER NO LONGER SAYS 7 MONTHS!!!

May's trip was planned only 4 short months before the trip, it went by so fast. I didn't have to wait for park hours or anything like that! This time :rolleyes1....... I do feel like the trip is more real the closer it gets though.

I hope you & Emily get some sleep tonight! I'm glad to hear you are feeling better! I can't wait for the hours either!! :woohoo:
