A Summer Wedding and a Disney Trip CANCELLED, HELP DECIDE WHEN WE'LL GO IN 2011

Hey Pam,

I just wanted to let you know that the Disney Outlet site has a coupon for an extra 20% off. I knew you were looking for costumes.

Ha ha :rotfl: See, I didn't think I was either, but then I figured out how to post the link in my signature (that took the longest ,but I got it) and get pictures on here (which was very easy once someone told me how to do it) And I had so much fun with it the first time and this time is just as fun! It gets even funner ( i know that's not a word) as the trip gets closer!

Maybe I might try it......I'll probably have nothing to talk about, or my pretrip report will be sooooo boring that Dis will kick me off the boards for putting everyone to sleep........:lmao:

HaHa, Oh, come on, it won't be that bad ;)

Oh, GAWRSH!!!!! I'm so excited. Check out my ticker, it no longer says 8 months and that is super exciting!!! My Mickey and Minnie bride and groom are dancing right along!
I should be booking the rooms this week too :woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay:

Tomorrow morning my friend and I will be going to the venue, which is where the outside ceremony and the reception will be held. We are going to choose a room, put the deposit down and go over menu choices and all of that exciting business!!! I will take plenty of pictures of the place and post them tomorrow! I can't wait to go check it out!
Also, I think on sunday Manny and I are going to go look at rings! I believe we're going to find a place (which most of them do) that offer a layaway plan! I'd hate to buy them now anyway and have them sitting around for 5 months! I'll probably lose them or something :confused3

Also, next saturday, the 31st, I am going dress shopping, don't worry i'll take pics of that too! I'm set on what type of dress I want, so hopefully i'll be purchasing it the same day! My 2 bridesmaids and maid of honor are coming, along with 2 friends from work, my Mom, and my cousin. Boy we are going to be quite the crowd. But at least i'll have plenty of opinions!

Alsoooooo, one of my bridesmaids is VERY crafty and is making our save-the-date cards. We went out and bought everything we needed for them yesterday and she was starting them today. Hopefully she has some finished so I can take a pic of that tonight when I see her at work and post that here for you guys too!!

The wedding plans are coming along quite nicely!! And once I get this darned trip booked, my disney plans will be coming along nicely as well! I'm really waiting for southwest to open up their september dates so I know what i'm looking at for airfare. I did see that Jetblue has very good prices. The airport that they fly out of though is about an hour from my house, but for a great deal that would work. My brother wouldn't mind dropping us off! I know southwest was lower than jetblue last year when I booked air, so i'm hoping that southwest will be even lower than the fares i'm looking at for jetblue, plus I got the $127 credit! Jetblue's total for the 6 of us roundtrip was totalling $1100, that's less than what we payed in May, so if southwests is lower than that, i'll be really happy. I was planning on 1500 for airfare, looks like it won't be that much!:goodvibes

Hey Pam! I just spent the morning catching up on yoiur PTR. I think the last time I posted was a few weeks before Christmas...YIKES!

Anyway...a few things....

I LOVE all the t-shirt designs. SO cute! I made one shirt for all of us last trip...and I was lucky that all of the boys, including Jeff, agreed to wear it. How much fun it must be to make cute little shirts for your girls! Can't wait to see the finished products!

The lakeside site for your wedding is GORGEOUS! Absolutely a great choice!

Your safari day looked like a ton of fun! You're very creative...your girls are blessed to have a mommy like you to plan cool stuff for them!

WOO-HOO for CBR!! I had no idea that CBR and CSR had options for larger families. I thought our choices (we have 5) were only POR, the family suites, or a deluxe! I'll have to look at both CBR and CSR for our next trip (whenever that might be :sad1:).

I'm caught up, back on board, and ready to hear more wedding and MNSSHP plans! Yee-Ha! :cool1:

So many exciting trip and wedding plans!
Make sure you take lots of dress pictures-- what style are you going to be looking for??
Good luck deciding on food, etc. at your venue, too, make sure you fill us in on your choices:lovestruc

Hi! Pam
I can't wait to hear all about the venue; which room did you choose and you save the date cards...its getting so exciting... sounds like a great deal on airfare!

Happy to hear that Emily is feeling better!

Thanks, glad to hear you're back!!! And I didn't think that our family of 6 had other options either for hotels, but alas, we did. But, it does come at a hefty price :scared1:

Our save-the-date cards will be finished within the next few days and I will post pics!

Today we went and put down the deposit, chose our room and had a tour! I love the place, everything about it! They just put a new white fence up around the gazebo area, it's great. I have pictures, but I just got in from work a little while ago and i'm watching the pregnancy pact on lifetime, so I will post them tomorrow!
We went over the menu and we saw a photo album of the rooms while they were decorated. We also got an invitation to the Bridal Show on February 7th that they are having there. I'm excited to go to that!

The save-the-date cards are going to be finished up tomorrow or monday and i'll put a pic of them on here as well of course! I did see the sample one and they are very cute!

Good night all!!!!:flower3:

I took this picture on our way out. We drove around back to get a closer up. This white fence was just put up, I like it! And the lake is right on the side of this gazebo area.

I'm really happy with this place. And the woman who gave us the tour and is our "wedding coordinator" was super nice!

We were going to go looking at some rings today, but I woke up with my allergies bothering me and now have a headache, so we decided we have plenty of time for rings and we're just gonna rest today!!!!! Plus it's dark, cloudy and we're supposed to be getting heavy rains tonight. Perfect day to be home :goodvibes And on the disney boards

Your wedding venue is beautiful!! I hope you are feeling better soon!

Just gorgeous! Feel better and enjoy your day of rest! :goodvibes

Thanks, I actually feel better already, right after taking some tylenol! The girls and I are watching Herbie right now! Oh, how excited they were when we saw Herbie in Disney World! They were so excited. He was in the show at Lights, Motor, Action at Hollywood studios!!!

Pam, it's gorgeous!!!!! I cannot WAIT to see your wedding pics! I wish we had gotten married outside...I should have waiting until I was older and wiser! ;)

Mickeystoontown, if you're not on before Christmas have a wonderful holiday!!!

Ok, so I got the pictures up from sunday. We had a great time, the kids got SOOO much!!! They got so much that I know next year, which, I wish I would have thought of this a few weeks ago, we are going to pick a child's name off of a "giving tree" that they have at a restaurant around here and I want my kids to realize that they are very lucky! That some kids don't get Christmas presents and family gatherings and big dinners all week! I just want them to know that not everyone is as fortunate as them. And as i'm going to tell them that this week, I just really want them to see kids asking for warm PJs, and winter coats. I want them to understand that not everyone can just go buy a new coat because it's cold, and not everyone goes to bed with fleece Disney Pjs and fleece Christmas blankets. Them getting all of this stuff, just from one side of my family made me feel really bad for the kids that do not even get a portion of what my kids got. And that was 5 days before Christmas! Santa hasn't even come yet. I am glad my kids have wonderful Christmas's, I am very lucky for that, I just want to make sure they realize how lucky they are!

Ok, so we got to my Aunt's around 3pm! The kids played, we ate dinner and opened presents. We were there til about 8:30. We had a really nice day! We were all so glad we were still able to get there because of the snow! We really didn't want to reschedule because the next time that was possible for all of us was probably 2 weeks after Christmas!

Here are some pics! The kids got:
Pixos, Chixos, Moxie dolls, barbies, barbie scooters, a barbie pool and beach barbies, a barbie kitchen set. ( See they all know that the girls are getting a big dollhouse from me on christmas morning) They got the cake bakery, cupcake baker, candy jewel factory, moon sand, lite brite, board games, clothes, Planet earth animals, Anthony got PS3 games, a total of $90.... you get the point...

Here are the girls standing amongst the presents. Everyone thought the amount of gifts were funny!

Here are two of the planted earth animals. They each got 2 a piece, Lizzie got a elephant and a chimp. My cousin didn't even know lizzie's infatuation over elephants. Emily got a penguin and a tiger and sam got a polar bear and a black and white bear. They are so soft and cuddly. They each come with their own dvd about that animal. They love stuff like that.

And Here are Lizzie's Mickey earrings!!! She is going to LOVE them.

I'm hoping she does not want the box. I want to save that. It says three things around the side of the box, It says, Laughter is timeless, dreams are forever, and i'm forgetting the 3rd one! It's so nice. Even Manny said, "wow, that's nice"

Well, that was our sunday. We finished all of our shopping last night and now i'm being held hostage at home waiting for my oil man, which could be any time today. So, i'm sure i'll be back on!!:santa:

OMG! I thought my family was the only ones who bought my kids sooo much. My husband is an only child, so that should tell you something. and My mom always goes overboard for all her grandchildren 5 total.

I know i've been trying to decide if we'll be going with the QSDP or DDP, and i've been leaning more towards the QS all along. But now that i'm thinking about it, I think, especially for a honeymoon that it will be nice to eat in these fancy restaurants, and relaxing in the hot afternoons. I think we're gong with the regular DDP!!!

I've been looking into Coral Reef and I've always wanted to go there ,but I don't like seafood! Well, in looking at the menu I realized that there are other yummy things there. Manny loves seafood, so he'll really enjoy this! It looks so pretty in there! The kids will be amazed!

Another place that we really want to eat is the San Angel Inn, in Mexico at Epcot. When we went on that boat ride we thought it was an amazing view that the people eating there had! It's very beautiful in there!

T-Rex is another must-do for us

Sci fi dine in is a definite on our DHS day

The Yak and Yeti on our AK day looks so neat!!!

Character Meals: Must dos

Crystal Palace
Chef Mickey's
Akershus or 1900 Park Fare

Which should I go for, 1900 Park Fare or Akershus?

Also, I feel like I should have more character meals! 3 out of 8 of them will be character. Is there any rest that I have on the list that you would trade for a character meal? Or should I stick with what i've chosen.

I know my kids will enjoy all of these restaurants, even the ones without characters. And we seen so many while there in May that i'm sure we'll see even more in September when it's slower. What should we do?

Only 3 more months and I can make ADRs!! extremely exciting!!!

We have done the regular DDP on our two past trips. We like the character meals. Crystal Palace is our favorite with Hollywood and Vine coming in second. Chef Mickey's was good our first trip, but on our second trip, we wish we would have chosen another character meal.

1900 Park Fare is on our list for our next trip-we've never been. We did eat at Akershus for breakfast and that was good. Can't complain about the food. They had a cold buffet and then they served warm breakfast food to your table and you could ask for more.

Our girls love the character meals, we try to do them all breakfasts so that we don't eat again until a late lunch early dinner.

We also ate at Coral Reef. We thought it was awesome and we didn't even eat seafood. We are from South Louisiana, so we usually don't eat seafood out. We had steaks and they were some of the best we have eaten.
