A Summer Wedding and a Disney Trip CANCELLED, HELP DECIDE WHEN WE'LL GO IN 2011

Happy New Year. I hope everyone had a fun, wonderful and safe new year!!!

Right now I have so much confetti to vacuum up!!!

Pam, such great pictures! I absolutely adore Sam's headband with the rhinestones. She's too cute.
You guys had such a packed holiday season! Just the way we love it, too-- seeing as many people we love as possible!

ETA: Happy New Year, Pam, and everyone!!

Hope you had a great New Year's Day Pam!!!! May your whole year be filled with magic :wizard: and love :lovestruc, and a wonderful wedding :bride: and trip to Disney!!!!!!

Are you guys doing the park hopper this time around? I was saying on one of my posts on my pre trippie that Bill and I were deciding whether or not we wanted to do Park Hopper's or not. It looked like it worked out really well for you and your family without the park hopper when you guys went the first time. I still think we are going to go with it though- mainly because we are in the parks mostly more than the hotel. When we got back from our Aug. 08 trip, we decided that we loved ASMO, but we would stay at either another value or a mod. next time around (we were really thinking about doing CBR). But, I think it is going to be POP Century this time around because Austin is still little enough for the big lifelike icons. Plus there food court is awesome (It's really similar to ASMO, except there is more to choose from- big ice cream bar, more selections etc., and there is a HUGE gift shop right before you walk into it). It is really great that you guys cose CBR- it is very pretty there (well I haven't been there since I was about 7, 20 years ago!!!!!!- but it was awesome then!). Can't wait to hear from you!

Hello!

I am finally caught up on your PTR--life sure gets in they way of DISing!! :lmao: You are so lucky to be getting pin codes--I wish I would get one! Of course, the free DDP would be a great deal and we are hoping for it as well! I believe the announcement is made usually late March/beginning of April. Really not that far away--but I will be doing a happy jig once they do release it and I get it applied to the rooms! :rotfl: I will seriously be on :cloud9:.

Love the pictures! Happy Holidays!

Thanks!! No, we're not doing park hopper. I honestly think it's not worth the money for us. We didn't once say " I wish we had the hopper" during our last trip, so we're sticking without it! I do believe we are going to add the waterpark and more option.
Pop Century looks awesome too. I love the lake. If we do end up going with a value instead of CBR we'd do POP!!!

Exciting News!!!!!

SAM HAS REACHED THE 40 INCH MARK

We've been saying for a few days that we were going to see if she reached it yet, and she is right on the line. So, by September she won't have any problems. We're so excited. I want her to ride Soarin, dinosaur, and test track with us. The others, like RnR and ToT are up to her. She says she is going to go on those, but we'll see when she's standing in front of them.

Also, i'm not sure if i've said it before but we're going to add the water park and more option.
We're excited to go to the water parks, the kids really wanted to go there in May, of course.
And Disney quest, oh my god, Anthony will love that. We all will ,but he'll never want to leave.

Hey! Pam
great Christmas!!!! lots of fun and love had and given by all...you can see it in every face! I decided to do the Zhu Zhu's for Easter and seen a commercial today that shows the new boats and cars, I think Ashton will love them! I normally wait until "Little Christmas" Jan 6 to tak edown the tree but we went ahead and did it this past weekend...with Joe's sofa in the house it is just too crowded.

Great idea on the waterpark option...my older kids loved it in May; in fact Gwendolyn told me we needed to add two days to our next trip!

congrats on the 40" we measured Ashton Saturday he is at 39.5" so he should be able to ride most things in May and def in Nov whenever we go!!!

:wave2: Connie

Awe what cute pics- the kids look so happy!!! It looks like they all truly had a great christmas!!!!

Congrats to Sam on the big 40 inch mark!!!!!! She will love all of those rides if she is anything like my little Austin (the daredevil). On our Aug. 08 trip, he was almost three, and we took him on the ToT, Dinosaur, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and he loved ALL of them. I know, we sound like horrible parents, but he is tall for his age (he was 10 lbs 1 oz, and 22 1/2 inches long when he was born :scared1:). He laughed the whole time on ToT and loved Splash Mountain!!!! Sam will love them!!!!!!

Thats great that you chose the Water Park and more package. Blizzard beach is really cool. I was there back in 2000 and it is like a wintery themed waterpark!!!!! We are not really into waterparks ( I mean, we go to Six Flags every now and then or Wildwood- but its not something I usually do in Disney- maybe when he is older). You guys will love it though if you are big waterpark fans. Oh and Disney Quest is amazing too- they have some really neat stuff in there :hippie:- Anthony will probably be in all his glory!!!!!

Oh and POP is a great resort choice if you don't do CBR. Great food court, great pop culture theming, and it is set by a beautiful lake. If you loved ASMo, you'll love this!!!! Also POP does not share buses with other resorts like the All Star Resorts do.

Eager to here more of your plans- have a great night!!!

Morning Pam,

First of all, great Christmas pics. You guys always look like you are having a great time.

I remember measuring my son all year long in the hope that he'd reach the height requirement. It's so exciting when kids finally reach the mark. Congrats to Sam!

I think adding the water park & more option is a great idea. We did it for several years and had a blast. We'd go to Typhoon Lagoon in the morning and go to Disney Quest that night. My 12 year old son was in heaven when he walked into Disney Quest. I am so not a gamer and even I liked it.

Did I miss it somewhere.....did you finally decide for sure where you are staying?

Awww, what great pics Pam! Your Christmas looks very similar to ours. We got the same reaction on the Zhu Zhu's. :goodvibes Love the expression on the Zhu Zhu's. :cutie: Thanks for sharing. My house seems bare now too. It's kind of a bummer.

Oooo, boats and cars for the zhu zhus, we'll have to get those too.
And, yes, i'm very excited about the waterpark option and to go to Disney Quest.
Oh, and I'm sure Ashton will make the mark, only a half inch to go!!!! We were bummed when we went in May, Sam missed the mark by an inch and a half.

Awe what cute pics- the kids look so happy!!! It looks like they all truly had a great christmas!!!!

Super excited about the big 40 inches!! Can't wait to take her on dinosaur and test track and of course Soarin. The water parks and DQ are something huge to look forward too.

No, no , you didn't miss it!! I'm still thinking CBR, i'm gonna wait and see what discounts come out!!!
I am really excited about TL, Emily wants to swim with the sharks.

Yes, the zhu zhu pets, we have to stock up on their accessories now!!

Ok, we have found a new place for the ceremony and reception!!! We had something booked, and it was nice and they were going to set up a nice area for our ceremony inside. But I just wasn't happy with it. I wanted an outside wedding, that's why we went for the summer.

SO!!!! We are now getting married outside right by a lake. There is a gazebo and they are going to set up white chairs.
The reception will follow inside. Which by the webiste photos looks beautiful. I called and spoke with the wedding coordinator and we held the date and we are going down to look at the different rooms and talk with her next week. And of course putting down the deposit.

As soon as I go I will post pictures!!! Obviously the outdoor ceremony area is not going to look all that pretty with it's bare trees and snow covered grounds. But it will get the point across.

We are very happy about this choice. I have been on websites and buying brides magazines all week. I am very ready to start planning now. We are getting the save the date cards made this week. I'll of course post a pic of them too.

Hi Pam!! I am soooo glad that you found a new place for the wedding and reception. I'm still on the fence about whether we should get married this September or not. My DD Victoria is still hemming and hawing about things changing. She wants Mama all to herself apparently. We'll see. It won't be a very big wedding as we've both done this before, so I could whip up something within a few months if need be. I am going to go to all the bridal shows in the area. There are 3 of them this month. Very, very excited!!!

Planning a wedding is much more exciting than I ever thought it would be. Gee, we would have done it years ago if I had known. We always figured we weren't missing out on anything. I'm very happy with where we're having the wedding, so I can now I can work on everything else.

I can't wait to see pics! Outside by a lake will be gorgeous!!!!

Just uploaded some that I found!!!!! coming up!!!!

Ok, I found some pictures of where we're having our wedding ceremony and reception!!!!

I'll post these pics now and then i'll post the ones I take when I go down there. and I just spoke with Sherri, the wedding coordinator ( :goodvibes I like the sound of that) and I am meeting with her on saturday January 23rd to check everything out and choose a room and go over the menu, centerpieces, table cloths and napkin choices..... I Can't wait :yay:

I love it!!! Tonight Manny and I just worked on the guest list. We have a total of 86. I wanted 75, but I give us credit for getting it that close. Not sure if it will grow a little more but I'm sure not everyone on the list will come, maybe, i don't know. Oh well, the more the merrier!!!! As long as it doesn't send us totally broke. We still have to go to Disney ya know!!!

Just came over to your pre-trippie from mine. Looks like I have a lot of catchin' up to do! Looking forward to reading and joining in!

Congrats! on chosing a location!! :yay:
the pictures are beautiful and the lake and gazebo are gorgeous!!!

Congrats! I know it has to be super exciting!
