I would like an “elevator access” category at HH. It seems to me that it would mean you knew what you were getting when you booked. I booked at 11 months and requested access to the elevator, and for the first time in around 7 visits with that request, we had a walk up. I was told to book a HA room, and that would guarantee the elevator, but that would effectively take a one bedroom HA out of inventory, when I do not need it. It’s my DH who has to carry the stuff, I do need to hold on when doing steps.
Our first visit to HH was on cash, we were in an elevator access building, we liked the resort and bought points. When we had a dedicated two bedroom with our family is when I learned about the lack of elevators. Our son, daughter in law and grandkids helped with the stuff and we were 8 years younger.
Anyway, they offered to switch us after two nights, but really, Tom only had to carry the stuff one more time anyway and we were settled. We declined, and for Tom’s sake I will be booking the HA if that’s what I have to do.
