A strange question about leaving a deposit

Ok this is a strange senario but here it goes. I have ressies at the Poly for Aug., my mom is paying for the trip to WDW, she is currently out of town and won't be home until a few days after the deposit is due, (she had me book the room etc.) she doesn't have the Credit card with her, that she will pay for the room with. My question is will they extend the deposit due date, She wants to pay with her AMEX, I really can't pay for the ressies this month, (lots of stuff due as well as DD's 1st birthday). Or will they just cancel and then I will have to try for a new ressie. Thanks Sorry this is such a strange question

More than likely they will cancel if they don't get the deposit by the due date, if you call them they "may" extend it by a couple of days but they "may not" , so don't count on that. They are pretty strict about that , they don't want to hold rooms without a guarantee longer than they have to. You will have to re-book again if that's the case.

They will extend it for you....they will even call you if they do not hear from you.

Just call them and explain the situation. They are very good about this. Our deposit took forever either getting there or just getting posted, I called the day it was due and asked if they recieved it, they had not and she quickly before I even asked extended it for a week. They recieved it a few days later. I expected them to extend it for a few days as they have in the past, I was surprised by the whole week. They are very good about this, esp. when you explain the situation. Good Luck!

I think that if your mom makes and pays for the ressies with her aamerican express card she has to be the one who checks you in too,thats what the cm i talked to said and i think it says that on mousesavers also,you might want to check it out to be sure.

I called last Monday to check on my deposit I mailed and they had not received it yet, so the CM gave me a five day extension. Then I called back on Friday to check and they still had not received it. I mailed it on 2-11, so I don't know what has happened. Anyways, I went ahead and charged the deposit to my credit card on Friday and CM told me that when they finally do get my deposit, they will just apply it as a payment to my account.

I'm pretty sure they will give you an extension for a few days.

thank You for the replies, I called today and CRO said no problam they gave me an extension. As for the ressies they are in my name but I had the other adults put on them too, so that way whoever wants access to the ressies can have it, I've done this before with no problem.

something like what is happening to you happened to me, and it will wotk out, they will just apply the money to your reservation, and then look at it this way you are closer to having it paid off
