We both posted our experiences on a recent thread when a poster inquired about WAT (for those of you who HATE WDW acronyms....or nicknames for WDW things.... Mo...oh the irony..like that's her REAL name )

WAT-Wild Africa Trek at WDW-Walt Disney World ANYWAY I loved your post then followed your PTR/TRs and am in the process of getting to know you feel bad it took this long

We have a LOT in common not just the furry/fuzzy butts YES it IS a perfect title for a story PIO PrincessInOz maybe Ariana & I are meant to co-write a book For added amusement we would HAVE to include Maxine the female version of Maximus and Mr Ed

I saw the pictures SO cute Hope Eddie is doing ok Fantasia our girl who will be 14 in Sept has crystal clear eyes which is very rare at that age BUT I know her hearing is effected, I find myself shouting more & more...sad but we live with it

The DHs that weren't into WDW or traveling (in my case I did the solo trips for decades) the volunteering re-animals so much more the more I read We are made to order friends ..I am just an older version of YOU or you are a younger version of ME...ok going back to reading

Eddie does OK. It really depends on the day. One day he gets around fine and the next day he's falling down the steps. It's just sad to see our babies get old. Eddie is the first dog that is truly mine (had a Schnauzer growing up but she was really my Mom's dog) and I'm going to miss him terribly when he's gone. Today is my Alex's 7th birthday, we just got back from taking him for ice cream.

I volunteered today at the shelter (like most Saturdays). It was slow today and I only did one kitten adoption but two weeks ago we had a huge event and adopted 43 animals in one day!

I am so tempted to plan a quick solo trip in August to be a part of the big DIS meet. Unfortunately August is rough at work and I don't think my boss will let me take time off. Right now my fall trip is scheduled for Oct 12 - 19th but I'm thinking of moving it to Oct 19th - 26th if free dining is offered. Once I get some more concrete plans, we will have to discuss a DIS meet!

I wish I could! I think she might give me a few days off but the cost of a third trip this year is just not in the cards right now. Plus I've also got two trips to PA to visit family. The first in July has been planned for a while, just a week to visit Mom. The second trip is in Sept and was kind of a surprise. One of my Cousins got engaged in March and is getting married in Sept. but we will meet someday!

Just a quick update after reading and getting caught up. Our trip dates are Sept 4 through the 9th. And if there's a party planned for your birthday, WE'RE IN!! I have ADRs, but am constantly trying to get others, since I'm not thrilled with the times I got. Hey, at this late date, that's just how it goes. Things have been crazy with the garage sale and now I need to get my house back in order. My Mom and Dad are coming over today and Emily is coming back from Virginia today.

Have you ever eaten at Tutto Itliana? I booked there, but wasn't sure if it was good or not. We are trying to eat at different places each trip instead of always going to the same ones. Okay, gotta run. Have a great day!

Today is a hard day for a lot of us I try to ignore it in the past but want to acknowledge other fathers so its always a tough call That's why yesterday I gave the shout out to fathers thought I would be in that quiet place and not even on the computer See what the power of the Dis and the love of friends can do for someone when you are open to it So today I celebrate and honor the LIFE of my earthly father the man that to me will ALWAYS be Daddy Anthony to many Ant-Knee or Tony to most Not the best picture but the most common place the kitchen table It will be 13 yrs next month, so hard to believe yet feels like 1,000 years Always with me To the daughters/sons who know how I feel I send you all love and strength this day If you care to share about your Dad feel free right here a soft place to fall

Well, I don't think he'll mind a quick visit. I actually had a DIS meet planned but it fell through because the other DISers dates changed. We will definitely talk once I know for sure what our schedule will be.

If I could figure out how to get a Pluto picture there I would do it! It took me almost a year just to figure out how to post my pictures. I wish they had a Pluto one in the default pictures but they don't.

a teary kind of day certainly BUT the good memories make me laugh "Get the damn ears off at the dinner table!" will ALWAYS be my favorite memory and that goes back to when I was about 6 and watching the original MM Club everyday is in my heart ( as for the "kicking butts" already done in
my mind...in reality will happen very soon )

That would be SO nice Ariana, you let me know as time gets closer As far as the avatar I think just find a great picture of our fave guy, upload it to whatever photo system you use and play around with sizing there's got to be instructions around here someplace its probably so easy and we are missing it, I've had Chef Mickey ( not a default picture either) for so long I don't remember how to do it

Boy you all have been chatty! I miss a couple days and there's an acronym feud, chain smoking abounds, and Ed shows up in a purple leisure suit and a tutu!

Ruthie, all your plans sound great. Boma for Thanksgiving, I think having a room close by on Marathon day is a great idea. I wish I could run, never been able to since Jr. High. And now I'm just starting to be able to do stairs again like a normal person (you know, put one foot in front of the other) instead of using my left leg to do all the knee bending.
