A Squirrel Jumped In My Lap!

DD and I were having dinner at Rose and Crown tonight. We had a table outside along the water. I was just eating my dinner and having a good time talking to DD when a squirrel jumped into my lap and tried to get into my plate. I jumped so high he fell off and ran a few feet away. Of course everyone around thought he was cute. Actually, so did I. I just didn't want him in my lap!

I would have FREAKED, I think of squirrels as rats with bushy tails!!!

I would have jumped, too. I had a little lizzard jump down out of tree onto our table at Tusker's House. You should have seen me jump! It was cute and harmless; but I was expecting it to be a leaf not a lizzard. The little thing went right over to DD mac and cheese! She just laughed!

No. He didn't hurt me. He just surprised me. It seems this little guy lives right there at the restaurant. The waiter said he took a bite out of his finger awhile back. He had jumped on a table and was trying to get some people's food (the squirrel, not the waiter) and the waiter tried to push him off the table. The squirrel took a bite of his finger. Very pushy little guy.
