Around 9:30am, the 4 of us girls left Washington DC where it was 30 degrees and rainy. We flew to Cincinatti on a plane full of people flying to Anaheim for the Terps Sweet 16 game. After an hour and a half layover in Cincinatti, we were finally on our way to Orlando! The flight was extremely turbulent. I usually don't have a problem flying but this time I have never been so glad to be back on the ground!

Florida was so much nicer than DC, but it was only in the mid 60's and cloudy. We took the Mear's bus to our hotel Port Orleans Riverside. I was very impressed with Riverside. The grounds were beautiful and it was very peaceful there. We checked in, bought our park hoppers. Our room was in the Oak Manor mansion. Captain said she felt like a princess since she was in the mansion. The room was nice. Captain loved how there were 2 separate sinks since there was 4 of us. We got changed and then caught the bus to the Magic Kingdom.

It was 5pm by the time we got the MK and it was very crowded. We took some pictures on Main Street and then headed off for Tomorrowland. I really wanted to go on Space Mountain because I had never been on it before. Off course they were out of fastpasses and the line was extremely long so we went on ExtraTerrorestrial Alien Encounter instead. We did the preshow and then a CM kicked me and Lise out of the main part of the show because they were too full. Then while we were waiting for the next one, the preshow broke so we ended up being in the main show by ourselves. It wasn't very enjoyable and they wouldn't let Captain and Kiddo join us. We were all starving so Lise called for priority seating at Olivias in Old Key West.

We then went on Tomorrowland Speedway. Lise and I were the drivers and Captain and Kiddo were our passengers. Those cars are so hard to drive! Captain was laughing the entire time because I was all over the track! She kept making me stop so she could take pictures of the castle. By the time we got off the Speedway and took some pictures by the car at the entrance, it was 7:10 and almost time for the Electrical Parade.

Main Street was packed and CM's weren't letting anyone stand to watch so we had to keep moving. One CM even hit a girl with her light stick (accident of course). Kiddo thought that we should go back to Space Mountain since everyone was probably at the parade. The line was still kind of long, but no too bad. Space Mountain was great!

After that, we went to Mickey's ToonTown to find Mickey. Captain just had to get every character's autograph. I just wanted my picture with them. We toured Minnie's house and Mickey's house and then met Mickey and got pictures taken with him. After that we caught the fireworks. We were all very dissapointed. They only lasted 5 minutes long. I know that they do it every night and understand that it is very expensive, but they could have been a little more impressive.

Lise and Kiddo were dying of hunger so we left and headed to Olivia's. We didn't even need our priority seating because the place was pretty empty. Olivia's has marvelous strawberry smoothies. We were all so tired that we had to color the kid's menu's just to keep us from falling asleep at the table while we were waiting for our food! After our wonderful dinner,we waited shivering in the cold for the DD bus so we could get back to Riverside. As soon as we got back we were so exhausted that we just went to bed.

It sounds ike you had a great start to the beginning of your spring break! Thanks for Posting!

Thanks for writing. I would have loved to go to
WDW for spring break while I was in college. :D

I enjoyed your trip report, excellent job!
Spending spring break at the happiest place on earth and in a mansion to boot, can't beat that!
I wouldn't have been thrilled about going to ExtraTerrorestrial Alien Encounter with just one other person either. It requires the crowd to get into it.

What a great place to go for spring break! I'll bet all the excitement of going and getting there made you tired!

This was a very long, but fun filled day and I enjoyed reading about it. Thanks for posting this.
