Dh & I just came from Disney. We had the 7 day land and sea and trying to fit everything in at the Parks kept us running. My question is Dh & I did SOARIN' and loved it but only was able to do it once. We were lucky enough to get front seats on the ride....my question is, (as dumb as this is) if you are seated in the back rows is the ride just as thrilling? I thought SOARIN' was awesome. :confused3

We rode soarin about 6 times or so and wish we had even more. We found that the best place is the front seats. If you sit in the other two years you do see dangling feet. We loved this ride . I am sure when we go back it will be fast passes btw soarin and test track.

LOVED soarin too! we just got back. It took my breath away. we were in the middle row, but i think b/c of the way they "stack up" when you are in the air, every row is the front row, kwim?

I did get a little distracted a couple times when the people "above" me moved their feet to avoid scenery, LOL, but other than that i think every seat is a great one.

that ride was breathtaking!

it is just as wonderful. but it was fun to be front and center so you didn't see any feet dangling above or next to you. i'd take any seat, any row, any day. but if i had a choice, it would be B1!!

The front is the best. The dangling feet take a little of the illusion away when you are in the other rows.

There really is a difference in where you're seated ~~ front row being the best :) front row middle especially!

HEY THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE REPLIES TO THIS THREAD I POSTED!!! Now, my DS & DGF is going in March and I was wondering where I absolutely loved it BUT had the FRONT row....can you request the front row when you get up there, do you think the CM's will allow that?? I told him how DH & I were in the front and the flight was thrilling but had not experienced it from any other row and now I am reading a little about dangling feet...hhmmm...

We always request row 1 and the CMs never have a problem with that. :)

Have never ridden at WDW, but ride frequently at DL...You can ask the CM for front row, you may have to wait a few rotations, but they will usually let you wait...Personally, I think that there is a noticable difference...Front row blows away the other two rows!

We think the first row is best but we enjoy it from any row. We have gotten where we generally don't notice the feet anymore.

We sat on the middle row and I never noticed any dangling feet.

The front row is definately the best - you go up the highest and no dangling feet (don't know how anyone can not see them in rows 2 & #).

We have been in rows 2 and 3. The dangling feet are a distraction when the motion has you naturally looking "up". Hey! There's feet in them clouds! ;)

I wouldn't say it killed the ride for me or anything, but it was a diminishing factor in our enjoyment.

And, am I the only one, or is it just too tempting to pretend to kick the boats over when you fly over the rafters...

Guess the few times we've ridden it we've been lucky enough to be in the front row. Its nice to know you can request it--I'll wait a few rounds to be able to be in the first row!!

The front row is the best. Another problem with the back row is that you can see the bottom of the screen. My mother-in-law has very bad motion sickness, and she enjoyed the ride very much on the back row.

The worst seats would be at the far ends of the back row since you can see the curve of the screen. I found this more distracting than dangling feet since you see the screen and then the blackness off to the side. You have to make a concious effort to look toward the center of the screen so the blackness on the side stays in your peripheral vision.

get row B 1. it is right in the center and on the front. the CM let us wait for that. actually, it was full when we asked and C3 was open. she let us go in C3, then moved us right to B1. so we rode 2 times in a row w/o having to go back out. best ride in the park. all rows are great, but B 1 is the best!

TO ALL OF YOU WHO RESPONDED TO MY POST....MANY MANY THANKS :thumbsup2 And I printed off this entire THREAD for DS AND DGF to read. I called him and he is so ready for this trip and he says he will have NO problem requesting a FRONT ROW seat. I told him that when he lines up if he is AGAINST THE WALL, he will know he is in a FRONT ROW....right??? Am I right on this??? Against the WALL means you will be in a FRONT ROW!!! UGH!!! My only disappointment with SOARIN' is DH & I only got to ride it ONCE!!! I could have stayed on for HOURSSSSSSS!!!!!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!!!!

I have a bit of a fear of heights, so I asked for the 3rd row on purpose. The CMs were fine about putting me there and it worked out great - I loved the ride and wasn't scared at all. In fact we went four times, and each time I just asked for the third row. For someone who is a bit nervous about heights, the dangling feet are actually kind of reassuring!
