Yes Ma'am! I have found it effortless to make friends with people from the DIS.

I think they will prob seat you near each other, and then you can still take pics for each other and chat but not have to sit together.

This past trip in Dec I signed up for my first DISmeet. My plan was to stay for about 1 hour (I'm not a people person). I ended up having a fabulous time-and chatting the night away with them.

Hey Nicole. I did another installment on my pre-trip report. I really hope that David comes through for us. I also PMed you. I didnt cancel or change the ADR in hopes that David will relax and have some fun with us that morning. I would really hate to have changed it to 2 people and then David is cool with sharing a table. Being this is my 1st meet I want everything to go smoothly and hope that we all have a good time.

Just wanted to share this with you guys...I don't watch So You Think You Can Dance...but it was on in the background and I just happen to like the song they were dancing to, but wow! These 2 tore it up! This dance was AWESOME! I just wanted to share!

i dont see y not. we're paying cash so i dont see what the difference is. I've read where lots of people have done part DDP and part cash if they have a big party with them. ill ask on the boards and see what everone else has to say. I much rather listen to DISers then to CMs as half of the CMs dont have a clue about anything.

Everyday since booking the AKL i have checked disneyworld.com to check the availability for one more day, the 12th. This was another vacation day, that I would much rather spend in Disney than at home!! No such luck though! It was the 11th that was standing in my way. There was just nothing available. So today I checked after work, and they had it available!! I immediately called CRO and 8 nerve-wracking minutes later they were able to add on the date, I'm ecstatic!! So I went rollerblading with that load off my shoulder and when I came back home, I made this! It's what I plan to give David in the parking lot of downtown disney after we renew our APs...I'm going to go "here are the directions to the hotel." and give it to him!

(with MeMom's help, there will be an Animal Kingdom Lodge hat inside the bag) I hope he gets excited!

I know there will be a day when I will take the big step and stay in a deluxe, at least for a night or two, but I'm already in a quandry about which one it will be. I'd love to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I'd love to stay at Wilderness Lodge. I'd love to stay at the Polynesian. Such choices!

David is going to be thrilled with both the extra days and the upgrade.

I absolutely loved the WL! Everyone knows that lol! But this is my first time at the AKL so i'm not sure which I prefer....have you seen this thread? I stopped looking at it in fear of changing my reservations

David and I just got done setting up all the boxed for the gift!! He posed the t-shirts and said "you should post these pictures on the 'mickey mouse message boards' so everyone can see what we've done"

Way ahead of you bro! Wish I could let him in on the secret so he can join the pre-tr! It's getting difficult to keep him off the boards, he keeps asking me about them!

I hop everyone is having a great Father's Day! Over here at the Nicole household, there are friends and family over for a BBQ, it's a beautiful day, great for a swim, which is just what everyone is doing

This morning was nice, David and I got up early to make my dad breakfast like we usually do. David is really into cooking lately, so we also decided to make white chocolate covered strawberries!

We picked up some white chocolate chips yesterday and we melted the chocolate in a pot by putting another pot underneath it with boiling water, it worked out great! And my dad was really surprised!

With the strawberries cooling in the fridge, we took a ziploc bag and poured the remaining melted chocolate in it. I cut a small hole in the corner, and piped out the chocolate for decoration! We than put the plate in the freezer until we were ready to put the strawberries on.

The finished product!

For breakfast, David made his special waffle recipe, and my job as decorating comitee was to garnish the waffles. I put a little whipped cream over the waffles and sliced up the last few strawberries we didn't use, and also apple slices and orange slices, he said it was awesome!
