A simple question

We recently vacationed at WDW in May of this year. When I was making all of the dining arrangements it was called PS. I have been away for a little while and come back and they're ADR??? What's with that?

Disney changed the name to Advanced Dininig Reservations - not sure why - I think it will lead to more confusion - people already think with Priority Seating they had a reservation - seems to me like now they really will think they have a reservation!

I'm retired Air Force, and when I was in the constant joke was that there were those who existed within the military whose only job was to change the names of things, change the punctuation of a few regs, and then get promoted. Maybe Disney is the same way: "Wow! I love the idea of calling PS something else. What a great job of thinking to call them ADRs! You get promoted to the next level!" Personally, I agree with julia and nicks mom that they will lead to more confusion. Plus, ADR just is unwieldy. I vote for going back to PS!!

The dining phone CMs now say "Remember, this is a reservation, so please allow ample time to arrive at the restaurant."
Still not sure what that means. I never felt PSs were any more flexible.

Sometimes, WDW and these boards seem to be nothing but acronyms--makes me feel as though I'm wearing the uniform again! BTW, sleepyone, I grew up in Jasper. Small world, n'est pas?
