Rick, I cannot tell you how much your story comforts and inspires me. Some how or another, my middle-of-the-road parents spawned a serious conservative (me) and a serious liberal (my sister). I am in the military and my sister is gay. Can you think of two more diametrically opposed lifestyles?

Anyway, while I love my sister beyond belief, I have had a hard time coming to terms with her lifestyle. Thanks to you, I have a greater understanding and compassion for her and her partner. Unfortunately, she is going through her 2nd "divorce" right now. But again, thanks to you, I am handling this one much better than I handled the first.

Best of luck to you and your partner! And thanks for enlightening the ignorant people (including me!) of this world.

Enjoy your marriage. I hope it is twice as fulfilling as mine!
