I thought that it would it be fun to start a Scrapper's Inspiration Thread where we could post ideas for layouts! I will start with some that I will plan on starting soon!

1. A music page, my son loves to dance as most kids do, so I will use some those photo's and I am going to journal the title's to his favorite songs-he has quite the taste in music. Will use paper with musical notes.

2. Soccer Page, have a soccer background and am going to incorporate gold velum some how.

3. Some Bunny Loves Me, my son has plush bunnies-no teddies, hence the title,

4. A "Will you BEE mine" page,

5. A "How time fly's" page, using a dragonfly paper background-with pics from over the years.

6. "Just getting my Kicks" (thanks to someone on this board for the title) page which will highligh my son's tae kwon do accomplishments.

7. "Chess" My son has started a chess club at school-will do a page on this-will need to find some die cuts of chess pieces.

8. "Beach Bums" Of my son and friend at the beach, will use papertearing for the sand, add sand castle, sunshine ect.

So what are the rest of you planning, any ideas for a great page even if it isn't something you won't be doing?

grover, What a great idea for a thread.

I have decided to keep a small notebook handy to jot down ideas as I get them. Most of the time I forget them when it comes time to do the pages. For example, I had 2 ideas yesterday and for the life of me I can't remember one of them. I'll tell you about the other.

My best friend from my childhood met my grandson for the first time Easter Sunday. Her first words to him was "Hi Punkin." He is usually a bit standoffish on first meetings but he repeated back to her in his best 2 year old pronunciation, "Hi punkin" and for the rest of the day called her punkin. I got a picture of him sitting on her lap with his Easter basket on his head. I thought I would do the page as an Easter page but using pumpkins instead of eggs. I'm not sure if I will color the pumpkins like Easter eggs or make an Easter basket and fill it with pumpkins.

I wish I could remember that 2nd idea.

Chessie, I have found the same thing happening to me time and time again that I have started keeping track of my ideas as well. If I see a neat idea on a website I print it out so that I have it on hand if I need some inspiration. I know there are plenty of great books with layouts out there but I'm not one to spend money on them all!! This way I will be complining a binder that is completely my style!
P.S. I got your email-Thanks, I also have dreams of attending the memories expo at some time!

Chessie, I'm with you!! This is a great thread idea!

As you may know, I'm a foster parent for children w/ disabilities. My youngest son Jarrod is 8 and suffers from PDD and is language limited.

Last weekend the kids were playing around and they wrapped Jarrod up in a comforter. The comforter was lt. brown and after he was wrapped up, he looked like a mummy to me, but the kids were calling him a piggy in the blanket. That seemed like a cute title for the pictures that we took, till Jarrod asked, "Where's the syrup?"
I now have the title for this page. I thought it was so cute!
