I lived in Flagstaff, Arizona when the Diamondbacks were born. Have been a diehard fan ever since. I love Schilling, and cheered on every pitch he made tonight. The ultimate competitor, and a nice guy, too.
they just had a live interview here with him, an exctremely "humble" guy! super nice! and it sounds like we may see him again tomorrow? after they "restitch" his tendon....eek!
He was an instant favorite. And he was just interviewed, can't say enough good things about the team...sounds corny but I'm happy for him, that this was his night.
Curt Schilling is the most AMAZING person...for those of you who don't know (as I just learned myself)..Curt had skin stitched over his tendon to pitch tonight. He had blood pouring from his stitches the entire game and STILL made it 7 innings. Amazing..simply amazing.
"SCHILL" makes you want to watch. He is a "THROWBACK" player!!! He understands and respects the HISTORY of the game. We LOVED him in 93 when he was in PHILLY!!! HE IS a HORSE and TRUELY loves the game. If more players were more like him the game would be GREAT!!!!!
