A Salute to All Orlando Area Theme Parks… But Mostly Walt Disney World ***THE END***

Marco... Polo.... that's funny! I did hold my breath when I saw the words "washroom" ... just making sure we didn't get another "Tammy" moment! Oh, wait, that's your other TR! :lmao:

Are the dwarfs ever out other than the MNSSHP? That is a completely awesome experience to see them!

Sounds like a great start to your night! :)

Ha, I was thinking of reverting back to old school technology since the current tech didn't seen to be working well.
Bahahahaha, when I wrote that I was thinking the EXACT SAME THING. So funny that I was actually going to change it and just leave the "washroom" part out, since it really didn't add to the story since I could have just said I went to the the Splash exit. Oh those TR's intermingling again!

I think they are also out during the Xmas party as well. They weren't when I was there in 2009, but I heard they have been since. It really is a huge deal to me Brenda. It's so rare to get a photo with mulitple characters, let alone 7. It was really a thrill. That's what makes the parties so special. In a not too far away future update you will see what became one of my absolute favourite M&G's... ever.

Yup so far so good. More to come soon!

Great update! :)

Thank you so much!! :)

Yay for MNSSHP finally!! Love that you guys got there early, always a good plan! I like to arrive right at four if people want to ride rides first, otherwise around five is my go time!

HM is definitely a must do for MNSSHP! I love that all the cm’s are spookied up and ready to scare! OH MY GOD I’M SO EXCITED!! Seriously, I’ve always done AK the morning of MNSSHP, but one party date this year is our second MK day and if this is what crowds are looking like, I’m PUMPED!

New Fantasyland and MNSSHP in one update, how wonderful!!

AHAHAHAHA Lovely OUAT reference, love it!! I never have met the dwarf’s and just don’t really care that much, I’d much rather be in line for Eugene right off the bat.. baha

Wow, great job getting there early, getting some rides in, getting to meet the dwarves and all before too much past 7! I have never met the dwarves, they're definitely on my list for the next time I attend the MNSSHP! Sleepy fell asleep on your shoulder? Way too cute!

LOVING your trip report! Can't wait to read more!

Thank you so much and :welcome: I'm thrilled you're here.

Haha finally!!

I totally agree. Since we had days on our tickets we just decided to go ahead and enter at 3. Otherwise you can bet we would have been in there at 4.

HM is an ABSOLUTE MUST DO!! It looks so good at the party. Plus STACEY'S FILMING NEW MUST DOS NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!

OMG Katt, we were at MK twice on a party day (this one being the one we actually went to) and it is simply FABULOUS crowd wise. In September, it'll probably be even better. It's so great.

AHHHH I knew you'd get that even without the hashtag. I hadn't actually been watching, but was able to get onto Netflix USA which has the whole first season. So I'm a season behind, but watched the whole first season in a marathon.

It worked out really well so we didn't have to waste party time on too much "regular" stuff.
The dwarfs are beyond fantastic. I think they may be at MVMCP as well.

AIN’T NO PARTY LIKE A MICKEY PARTY ‘CUZ A MICKEY PARTY DON’T STOP!
Day 9 – October 16, 2012 Part 3

MNSSHP was a night of no main agenda other than of course, the parade and the fireworks.

We continued on just wandering, taking some time to stop into the Trick or Treat lines for some candy.

The lines were generally not too long at all, and they moved quickly anyway.

The only thing better than candy is free candy.

And let me tell you, this was really good free candy.

I’m not a usually a gummy fan, but the Disney Princess gummies at the party were wicked awesome.

We did have a laugh as one line we got in was giving out raisins and only raisins.

After leaving, we walked the length of the line saying out loud, to no one in particular,

“You don’t want to be in this line… It’s just Raisins!!!”

Some people actually left the line upon hearing this! :rotfl2:

They’re not usually very stingy with the candy either, although the bag they give you is quite small.
I understand you can use your own bag if you wish.

I got in one line and jokingly said I didn’t have much candy, and they loaded me up.

Have I mentioned how much I love Disney CM’s?

Shortly after gathering up some yummy candy, we found a spot in Frontierland in front of the Diamond Horseshoe to wait for Boo To You.

Unfortunately, the few in front of me were also saving spots, so the crowd in front grew a little by the time this guy appeared.

I was so excited to see the Headless Horseman, I was just busting.
Just so amazingly awesome.

Begin rant.
If you're on the curb in front... SIT DOWN PLEASE!!!
End rant.

Shortly after, the parade started, accompanied by some horrible photos by me.
I tried video-ing, but it was pretty dark where we were, so it didn’t turn out as I'd hoped.

So rejoice to these wonderfully edited screen captures, won't you?

I

LOVED

THIS

PARADE!!!!

This is without a doubt, the best parade ever.
I'm not a huge parade person in general, but seriously,

- A Hunted Mansion section!!
- The caretaker with a Real... Live... Dog!!
- Gravediggers making sparks with their shovels!!
- Lots and lots of villains... DANCING!!
- Lost Boys!!!
- Characters dressed up in their adorable costumes!!
- A Chicken??!!

...Cowboys!!

OK, so I didn't care much for the cowboys.
It seemed a little "Friends with Dorothy" if you catch my drift...

…Not that there's anything wrong with that. :thumbsup2

Seriously though, a truly awesome parade, and one I really need to see again!!!!

Absolutely Fantastic!

Day 9 – October 16, 2012 Part 3 Cont.

After the parade ended, we had to make our way to Main Street to get a spot for Hallowishes.

I know a lot of people find the parties crowded, but it’s really because so few people are in ride lines.

So it seems like more people because most are out in the streets.

In particular, Main Street.

Nonetheless, we didn’t have a problem finding a spot.
It was certainly much easier than it was when we watched Wishes a few nights prior.

Before long, it started.

92.jpg

Oh Man, Wonderful Show.

Basically, anytime Disney breaks out the perimeter fireworks, I’m all in.

On the way to grab a spot for the fireworks, we had passed by the Tremaines just leaving.
The handler told us that they would be back out right after the fireworks.

So, armed with that info, we headed right back there.
I’ve always wanted to meet them, so I was REALLY excited.

We were first in line when they arrived and they did not disappoint.

K8 declined getting a photo, so she took my camera and got some fun shots.

They immediately focused in on my “I Survived Small World” shirt.

93.jpg

Which prompted them to begin singing “It’s a Small World”, and me to plug my ears.

94.jpg

95.jpg

They even started acting out the ride…

Despite that, I still absolutely love them.

OK… This was, without a doubt, one of the best character meets of my entire life.
The Tremaines are seriously the absolute best and so much fun!
DO NOT miss meeting them.

Honestly, I think I would even give up the princesses just to hang around with these ladies.

They’re wonderful!!!!

TO BE CONTINUED…

My gosh I just cant keep up with everything on the disboards anymore!!

I do appreciate the candy lines, and the fact that its actually good candy! Down by JC I found a reese peanut butter cup and freaked out, OM NOM

Aww, I totally get the if youre in front sit down but Im totally one to stand right against the rope, that being said, Ill always make sure the kids and shorter people can come right up, as long as they dont try to force their way in right as stuff starts and Ive been sitting there all night kinda thing!

I dont know what friends with Dorothy means, but as a female, I greatly appreciated those cowboys&maybe its a Calgary thing, but they were definitely easy on the eyes, although there was a lot of innuendo with them, they worked it too&

I do have to always say that Boo To You is my favorite parade, the HM section is by far my favorite thing EVER and one of these days I WILL be in it!

Love the fireworks, they are beyond amazing and without a doubt my favorite, cept for maybe DLRs&.I DONT EVEN KNOW

Yay Tremaines! Theyre such a hoot!

ETA: and of course I'll get the OUAT reference!! Ahaha, the first season isn't my favorite, but I just CANNOT STAND Mary Margaret, love snow, but MM, heck no, get out. Regina, like, hello love of my LIIIIFE. I managed to PVR them of just watch online as I don't watch a lot of TV so it's easy to keep up on one show! If you have American Netflix you should DEFINITELY watch the WDW documentaires!!

Okay first I need to ask, where is this raisins-only line, because my child is OBSESSED with raisins!! :lmao: I honestly think he likes raisins more than candy!!

Great parade & fireworks pics! :thumbsup2 I'm really excited about the party, mostly for those two events in particular. The characters in the parade are all so cute dressed up in costume. :goodvibes I've heard nothing but rave reviews, so I can't wait to see them both for myself!

The meet with the Tremaines sounds SO FUN! I love how they pretended to be the kids on the ride, although they look like they could be doing the robot. :rotfl: The ones with you plugging your ears are just priceless. What a great character meet!!

YAY!! The parade looks awesome! I am a huge parade person anyway!! :)
I can't wait to meet the stepsisters! We have a dinner booked at 1900 Park Faire our first night and I can't wait!
Do you remember what time the parade starts?
And you can get in starting at 4- right? I am SOOOO excited. We are doing the party on October 22nd!

Ha, I know what you mean.

I was seriously surprised by the candy, expecting just suckers and things like that. Katie went nuts when we found Whoppers.

I was only partly serious with the "rant" haha. I was just bummed that I thought I had a pretty good spot, the folks in front weren't too big, then a whole bunch showed up to join them and my good spot wasn't so good anymore. :sad1: Oh yeah, I totally get not wanting people forcing their way in front of you. I mean, if people get to a spot early, they deserve that spot. I do the same thing with kids and others who might not be able to see. It doesn't affect my ability to watch, and it allows them to see as well. Win-Win. :thumbsup2

Bahahaha, it was a very bad joke (Wizard of Oz.. Judy Garland, sort of like saying they "liked show tunes"). Of course it was just a joke and I totally get the girls liking the cowboys. I guess it really didn't do much for me though,!

That parade was outstanding. If/when I see it again; I'm camping right in front. I loved it.

Oh man these were really good too. Regular Wishes is still my top for personal reasons, but this is certainly more spectacular. And DLR... I 've only seen Remember Dreams Come True (haven't seen Magical or the seasonal shows in person), and yeah, they're unreal.

Katt, this was the best meet I've ever had. I can't ever remember having that much fun with a meet despite the fact that they were tormenting me.

Oh I knew you would, believe me. Too funny that you hate MM but love Snow. That's so funny and yet strange that I get it. I did find the first season hit and miss. I did like most of it though. Oh, and I have watched every one of those Disney docs multiple times. Actually, I had copies of all of them before I even had Netflix, then re-watched them again since, because you know, it's Disney. The D-land one in HD is beautiful.

Hmmm, that's not a bad thing. The night we were there it was a line near Jungle Cruise I think. I'm not 100% on that, but it was definitely in the Adventureland area.

They are both really fantastic (like Disney could do any less) and were for sure my top things (plus the Dwarfs). And while the fireworks are outstanding, it's the parade that really tops all I think. Everything about it is great.

AHHHHH the Tremaines. I think the prince missed out here. :lmao: They were definitely being the Small World kids, much to my dismay. They did kind of look like they were doing the robot though. It was so much fun though. Truly one of the best meets ever.

YAY!! The parade looks awesome! I am a huge parade person anyway!! :)

Oh Marcie, if you are a parade person, you are going to FLIP when you see it. I'm not and I flipped!!! It's fantastic! Make sure to get there early to see the Horseman too. He rides a good 10-15 minutes before the parade starts.

Oh I hope you get to meet them. I've heard of rare occasions they weren't there, but I think it's a rare thing for that to happen. They are fabulous.

The parade usually begins at 8:15 and 10:30 and starts in Frontierland and ending at Main Street.

Yes, you can usually get in at 4 with just the party ticket. Of course anything can change, but I;ve not heard of anyone being turned away from 4 o'clock onward. The last thing Disney wants (or needs) is all the party people all showing up at the same time at 7. So I expect the 4 o'clock entry will be in effect.

I'm so excited FOR you. You're gonna love it!!!!!! And you're on a Tuesday too (as were we)! I've heard that's the best for lower crowds.

Awesome update! :)

Thank you so very much!!!

Have you ever done dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian? The Tremaines are there and they are just as amazing as your interaction. Last time we went, Anastasia asked my sister what her favorite ride was, and my sister said Tower of Terror. Anastasia went, "Did you scream like this?" and let out a high pitched scream that quieted the whole restaurant! Then her mother made her stand in the corner and repeat "I will not scream in public" which Anastasia shouted, and eventually she came back and said, "Thanks for getting me in trouble!" to my sister. It was fabulous. I know a lot of people have complained about the food but honestly I've never had a bad meal there. Def would recommend for your next trip!

You know, I haven't been to 1900 Park. Sadly (and a little embarrassingly), I've never even set foot in the Grand Floridian at all. :scared1: I know, it's shameful.

Up until now I've not been an sit down restaurant type at Disney. I tend to like to grab a quick meal for the energy and then back at it. But some of the sit downs seem so nice that I may have to make some exceptions in the future.

OMG that's so AWESOME!!!!. It's things like that that make me adore them even more. They are simply the absolute best. Ah hell, they're perfect! Even in parades, they're fabulous. Oh God, thank you so much for sharing that story. That's priceless!!! :rotfl:

Hehehe when I went trick or treating last year at the party, our friend was making the CMs hold up their hands to see who would give the largest scoop of candy! :rotfl:
I do really love the Boo To You parade, it's pretty darn awesome. The music is so catchy. I even like (though am perplexed by) the cowboys!
I may not be a Hallowe'en fan, but I have to admit that HalloWishes is my second favourite show ever. (Behind Holiday Wishes!)
I got to meet the Tremaines once at 1900 Park Faire. I was too shy to really play so I definitely need another meeting.

Joining this one too!

Isn't the party great? This one will always have a special place for me. My husband and I spent the evening of our wedding at this Halloween Party and it was amazing. I think the grave diggers are amazing. We have gone to this party 3 times and have watched the parade for both showings each time because we enjoyed it so much.

I've watched that parade at least a dozen times on youtube. So cool!

That character meet with the Tremaines looked awesome. I'm also jealous you got to meet all Seven Dwarfs!

Haha, now that's a sound strategy!!

I completely agree. It is the best parade I've ever seen I think. It's actually a shame it only happens at the party, but certainly makes the party more special. Haha the cowboys just threw me for some reason, but I do get why the ladies might like it.

I am a HUGE Halloween fan, but I do like Holiday Wishes better for some reason. Regular Wishes is still my top though.

OMG Wendy you must. They are the most fun and most entertaining M&G. Love them!!!

Hi Annie, I think this is your first post over here (forgive me if I'm wrong) so :welcome: And yes, that parade is fantastic!!

Oh my the Tremaines are so wonderful and fun to meet and it was indeed very cool to meet all the dwarfs especially because it's so rare.

AIN’T NO PARTY LIKE A MICKEY PARTY ‘CUZ A MICKEY PARTY DON’T STOP!
Day 9 – October 16, 2012 Part 4

After my super amazing visit with the Tremaines, we headed over to the Tommowland side of the park, since we hadn’t been there yet.

On the way, we stopped for a MNSSHP castle photo, which is actually one of my favourites of the entire trip.

106.jpg

Upon arriving in Tomorrowland, Club 626 was running strong.

107.jpg

107a.jpg

107b.jpg

108.jpg

110.jpg

112.jpg

It’s really a lot of fun, but both K8 and I noted that this “Stitch” was not the real Stitch we had met a few days prior.

It also didn’t feel all that “special” since it happens on non party nights too.

Being so close, and since the wait was virtually non existent, we jumped on board Space Mountain.

114.jpg

We weren’t focused on rides by any means, but you can’t turn down a 10 minute wait for Space Mountain.

You just can’t.

We moved from here towards Storybook Circus, jumping into various candy lines as we went.

We were passing by Dumbo when a CM named Chloe commented on my shirt, stating that she actually liked Small World.

Of course this got us into a playful argument based around the fact that I found this completely impossible.

She had actually worked Small World for a time, but apparently, was not in an area where you would hear the song over and over…

And over…

And over…

I eventually got to wondering if MNSSHP CM’s are ever given any of the great candy.

So I offered up some of the free loot.

At first she politely declined, but I told her it was OK.
Of course, I didn’t want her to get into trouble as I wasn’t sure of the protocol.

Eventually she said she would take something I didn’t like, but nothing like that existed.

So I just grabbed a handful and handed it to her.

115.jpg

There was another CM stationed nearby laughing, so I loaded her up too.

I still wonder to this day if any guests have ever passed along some of their candy to the CM’s working that evening.

But they should.

We said our goodbyes, and continued on, back thorough Fantasyland where a couple of Disney ducks were hanging out.

116.jpg

Then back out to the Hub to watch the final Villains Mix & Mingle out the night.

117.jpg

118.jpg

119.jpg

120.jpg

121.jpg

This show is… Interesting.

To be honest I have absolutely no clue what this is supposed to be other than an excuse to gather a bunch of Disney Villains together for Halloween.

Also, don’t worry about missing too much party time on this as the show is surprisingly short.

Nonetheless, the best part is when they all come down to “mingle”.

I had one in particular I was after, so I set myself up where I thought would be the best spot.
They're not out all that long so there's no chance to meet them all in one shot.

You really have to prioritize.

Thankfully I guessed, more or less, correctly.

Who was I after?

122.jpg

K8 made sure to snap a picture of the lady in front of us dressed as Maleficent getting a picture with Maleficent.

Then it was my turn.

123.jpg

124.jpg

Pretty cool.

Not long after this, the party was wrapping up and it was time to head out.

125.jpg

126.jpg

127.jpg

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is, without a doubt, an absolute must do.

I’d done the Christmas Party, and this far surpasses even that.

It contains what I believe to be Disney’s best parade, one of the best fireworks shows,
Great atmosphere, great and unique character meets, great fun, short ride lines,

Plus…
