A sad story, an honest offer

Prayers and Pixie Dust for you, your wife and your baby.

I've read a few of your posts and had been impressed by your excitement at your daughter's birth in your countdown. I'll add each of you to my prayers.

I hope that you are able to get your full refund from Priceline. All three of you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am overwhelmed with emotion at such a selfless act of kindness. Good things are going to happen so chin up and please keep us posted. She's part of "our" family now too. God Bless.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your whole family. Sending all the pixie dust I have to all of you.

I was put on bedrest when I was 23 weeks PG. My DD was born a week after her due date. {hugs} and PD to you and your family.

She also thinks I'm nuts taking my woes to a Disney BBS. She's getting there, but she's still not "one of us."

Just set her up at home with a computer with an internet connection that can only reach the DIS ;). Actually, having the computer available when I was on bedrest really helped me a lot.

I am impressed that in the midst of your problem you thought "how can I turn this into a positive for someone else".

Best wishes and prayers for your family.

Pat,
When I first came to the DIS back in mid 2000 I never went to another board other than the collector's board. They were my "family".

But I wised up and realized there were a lot of other family branches out there that I was denying myself knowing. I came across a few posts of yours and you "personality" came through.

I've never met you and you and your wife must be wonderful caring, wise, people. Sometimes I have read things you had thought and wished that I could have been so diplomatic. I say the same of your wife even though she doesn't post (or does she?) because I believe like attracts like.

You have come to one of the wonderful places in life for water and sunshine. Just remember that there is a plan even if we don't see the map.

They are doing wonderful things these day medically. In 1954 I was born a 3 lbs. 2 oz. Never expected to live. I'm half of Bob Hope's age now :)

When she comes home put her on the computer to keep her off her feet. She will come to know and love us and be addicted too.

Hope it goes without saying that even those who don't post to threads like this one still pray.

I was looking forward to meeting you. Lacool and I are meeting for the first time tonight to share an illuminations cruise. I will share with her and her family.

God bless you an know that you are in my prayers. My neice was 24 weeks and will be 5 in August. She is surely the biggest princess ever seen. She rules my boys. Her brother was at risk at 20 weeks but with bedrest was actuallly one week overdue.

The suggestion to put your wife on the puter is a good one. Health problems have had me on my bottom for a month now, and I would have been just miserable if I had not accidently come across this board. I had never been on one before.

I am sure that the kind folks here would happily keep her company as she waits through the tough times! Pixie dust does wonders for the mind and soul!

Who will be 6 in July -Keep a positive attitude!
I was hospitalized w/ pre-term labor at 20 weeks and made it to 24 and now have a perfect 6, almost 7 YO DD w/ no lingering complications even though she was born at 625 grams (1 lb, 6 ozs)
It was a bit frustrating not being able to do anything for my child except stay upside down and not to move but it worked.
Keep checking in for support and inspiration.

Pat,

I just wanted to add my best wishes to the three of you. Sending good vibes your way from North Carolina!

Prayers are coming to you and your family.

We were busy doing ball games last night, so I didn't pop on the boards. I would have like to send you prayers last night - I'll double up tonight!

You remember the Footprints in the Sand story - I'm sure you, your wife, and baby are being carried right now!

Pat--
Prayers and pixie dust for you, your wife and baby girl.

Your story took me back almost 25 years. My dd was placenta previa also. I was put on bedrest at 23 weeks and she was born at 30 weeks. She weighed in at 3 lbs. 7 1/2 oz, 16 1/2" long. NICU for one month and we brought her home when she was 4 lbs. 5 oz. What a tiny little thing! Now, she's graduated from college, married, and gave us a beautiful little granddaughter last year. They're taking her on her first WDW trip next week!

Wishing all of you strength through this very scary time and hoping you have good luck with Priceline.

Keep us posted as you can.
