A sad story, an honest offer

Sending you all prayers, pixie dust & ((((((hugs))))))!

Thanks so much for posting again and keeping us updated, I just kept telling myself "no news is good news". I'm so glad you decided to look to the DIS boards for comfort, you're carrying such a big load, and who better to look to than those who share your love for Disney, and feel that special magic in their hearts every time they go. Well those same hearts also feel and share your sorrow, and I along with so many others that have already posted will be saying a special prayer for you, your wife and your unborn child tonight! ~:D~

It is wonderful to hear Priceline gave you a refund. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Well, I just said a prayer for Mom, daughter and you, and your family is in my thoughts from now until the day of the blessed event (and then some!)...please keep us posted. We, too, had reason for concern while I was pregnant, and we worried for the entire second half of my pregnancy. When our daughter was born as perfect as could be, it was truly one of the happiest days of my life - it will be for you, too!

Great news about your wife's BP and daughter's heartrate. Be sure to take care of your self, too!

Good for Priceline!

Since you like the happy outcome stories here's another. Two of our nephews were preemies. They're now 21 and 20, 6'4" and 6'1" respectively. They are athletes and honor students. Twenty years from now may you look back on these weeks as a mere blip in your lives. Prayers and hugs!

It's good to hear that things are going as well as they are for you. You and your family have been in my prayers since I read the original post.

I work in pediatrics and have seen many small miracles come through our doors. The smallest baby that I have seen was born at just below 1 lb. He is now a bright and beautiful 7 year old that has no other medical problems other than needing to wear glasses. You would be amazed at how tough those tiny babies can be. I pray you don't have to find out for yourself, but at least you know you have more than just your regular family and friends to rely on for prayers and support.

Take care. Mickey

Pat,

More prayers and blessings to fill your pockets for you and your family. I am just now reading this and my heart goes out to you. Hold onto your hopes, hold onto your dreams and hold onto your faith.

Keep us posted.

Our prayers are certainly with you! What a generous person you are! I hope everything goes will with your wife and child.

I've read this thread the last couple days and I am at a loss. All I can do is give my heartfelt prayers for your wife and daughter and of course you, too.

Such a generous person to be thinking of others during your time of need.

You're family is in my thoughts and prayers. Hoping to hear nothing but good news.

Thank you for updating us with that great news! I hope to hear more like that soon.

A friend of mine was hospitalized last summer with bleeding/placenta previa. She was sent home after about a week in the hospital & a few transfusions. She did end up hospitalized one other time, for a few days. The baby was delivered surgically, non-emergency, at about 36 weeks! Perfectly normal and healthy.

May things go equally as well for you and your wife.

And I'm glad Priceline came through for you. I found them to be very helpful when we changed our plans in sept 2001, and continue to use them without hesitation.

Hope your beautiful little blessing washes away all your fears and he/she is a healthy and happy. Guess your next WDW trip will be with your fabulous little bundle of joy!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Keep thinking good thoughts and never lose hope. It may be scary at times, but remember, we are all here wishing for nothing but the best for you and your family.

Pat,

Here's yet another tale of a healthy preemie - my son was born at 33 weeks and weighed 3 lbs, 14 oz. He was only in the NICU for 14 days - that seemed like an eternity at the time, though. He is now 2 1/2 and completely caught up in size and development.

Both of my neices were born at the Danville hospital and my SIL was very pleased with the facility.

I'll be praying for your wife and child! God Bless You!

Just wanted to add some more prayers and pixie dust.
Hope your wife and DD have the luck of someone I worked with a number of years ago. She had placenta previa, bleeding/contractions and needed several blood transfusions. Her family was pretty sure she would end up with a premie, but things went so well that she went all the way to her due date.

Do not know how we missed this thread:o Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My thoughts are with you and your family. My preemie daughter was born at 30 weeks and weighed 3lbs 14oz.She was in the NICU for 1 month. She is now a healthy 4 year old (and disney nut). Just remember that we are all here for you....your Disney Family....God Bless

I will add your family to my prayers.

Can you stand one more story of hope? My friend, carrying twins, started contractions at 26 weeks. Into the hospital she went. She managed somehow to keep those kids in until week 33. Both are doing fine. Keep the faith Pat. We're all here with ya, waiting for that 28th week. We dis'ers always seem to be waiting for some particular point in time to get here!!! More prayers and pixiedust for you all. Hope you don't mind but I would like to add you all to our prayers in church tomorrow. We will just mention Pat and family.
