A Relaxing Holiday! Day 5

Up ,usual routine go down get coffee, get DW and DD up out of bed.
Down for breakfast, well a cinnamon bun and coffee.
Go to see concerige, as I have Luau booked for weekend and see who i pay , tells me to pay on the day as I will get AP discount . Ask her about Sea World as we are going there for dinner today. She gave them a call to see when I needed to be there, so we do not need to be there till 4:15.
Tell DD , so decide to go to the pool till 12:00.
DW left about 11:30 to get ready, feeling a lot better today [forgot to mention DW suffers from Lupus and Fybromyalga, but very rarely complains] having problems with her hair since we arrived, but looks alright to me.DD and myself are ready in about 30 mins.
We leave RPR at about 1:30 ,we stop at Walmart on the way, and DW buys another shampoo and conditioner.Hair looked ok to me ,but then i am a man,or so i am told.

I ordered tickets on the net, so we queue up to get our tickets, get them without any problems, and we are in the park by about 2:45.
Get ourselves some drinks as it is extremely hot,

DD wants to go on Shamu coaster, we had no time last year so as we have about an hour till we go for dinner, I take her over and queue for it , takes about 25mins , she then wanted to go on another kids ride as there was not to much of a queue, do not know the name here is the pic,

but it was extremely slow and children where standing with the sun on them, 2 girls in front of us where about to go on and 1 of them did not feel well and started to faint, we grabbed her and her father came over and we took her out ,but they would not take her to First Aid, they took her into the shade and gave her some water.
Was time to go for our Dine With Shamu, I had not told DD we where going here, she thought it was just dinner.
The look on her face when she realised where we where going was magicial, as she loves whales and dolphins, as all kids do.

I was a bit apprehensive about booking this ,as some reports said the food was not great here. The food here was excellent and plenty of it, plus they kept topping your drinks up, whenever they saw them going down a bit.
The whole experience was great, and something I will definetly be doing again, DD thought it was the best day,and got to ask the trainers quite a few questions.

After our dinner we could see the stadium starting to fill for the Believe show, so DW and DD decided we should go over and get seats. Told DW to go and see if they had any wheelbarrows so she could wheel me over, as I think I over indulged a bit.
Got seats ,yes in the Soak Zone, the whale was swimming about soaking everyone prior to the show.

About 6:05 we started to hear Thunder then you could see the lightning, they came out and said the show would be delayed for 10mins to see if it would pass, then another 10mins, but storm was going nowhere, so apparently if they cannot start a show within 20 mins it is cancelled as it would mean the schedule for the other shows would be disrupted.
Luckily it was not raining , so we left to go in the park, we had just left the stadium and the rain started, or should I say someone was pouring buckets of water on my head.We sheltered under some trees which helped, after about 20 mins it started easing and we decided to head back to the hotel.
We where soaked by the time we got to the car, when we arrived back at the hotel there was palm leaves everywhere, it was still raining and the pool was closed for the rest of the night.Everyone was saying about the storm, we said we where at Sea World and just had the thunder and rain not very windy, but they said the wind was terrible at Universal and people where still talking about it for the next couple of days, so glad we missed it.
Had a few drinks in the Orchid Court and then went to bed and watched TV for a while , was still raining at 11:00 pm. Even with the rain ,we had a great day, plus DW was feeling a lot better.

Rpbert1, I'm enjoying reading your trip report. My family stayed at RPR 7/27-7/31. We just love the FOTL priviledges!!
I can sympathize with your DW on her hair problems; I call it "Florida" hair!! We also made the trip to Walmart on Turkey Lake Rd a couple of times. It's so convenient!!

Hi Donna, glad you are enjoying it, not much excitement , but this was more a holiday ,although i was surprised how often we went to the Parks,we where at the RPR till 4th August, think a picture thread of people staying would be good ,so we can recognise people staying there.
Yeah my DW calls it that as well, waiting on rates for next year, trying to decide what we are going to do when there.

Your DW's hair looks fine to me.... also, i keep forgetting to ask you how you made out w/ the hotel w/ the parking fee? What'd they do for you?

They charged me , even after much deliberation with them , they would not budge on it.
Next year i plan to call and talk to the Parking Manager,[was told to do this before we left] and come to an arrangement with him.
They ask when checking in if you have a car or not, so its depends wether you want to be up front with them or not

Seaworld has become such a great park. Our kids enjoyed the new attractions in the children's section.

Enjoyed your report thank you. We were there for a few days the same time as yourselves. Landed on 1st during a T-storm when Orlando Airport was shortly afterwards shut, then in rained all of 2nd. Felt dead sorry for son who had been looking forward to a holiday in the sun and then had weather like back home plus we ended up actually feeling cold. However, from 3rd to 15th it was just glorious hot weather.

Was to warm for me , the rain was a welcome break , and a good excuse to get in out of it for a while + DW loved when it rained as she could then do a bit of shopping.
