Just came back from a wonderful 2 week stay at the Beach Club! As this is the first time we have stayed at this resort I wanted to give some impressions and thoughts. (We normally stay at the Wilderness Lodge or CBR).

First off, the staff, from security to the front desk to housekeeping were fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating to any request. The location was superb! Being able to walk to Epcot and HS is a game changer. We actually found walking to HS quicker and more fun than either the skyline or the boat. Pool. Wow. Favorite part of this resort for sure! We spent more time in it than in any of our previous trips. Definitely a fantastic area. Made it feel like a resort we could have spent a week or more at without even going to the parks.

Moving to our room. We requested and received a full balcony. Roof view, but still better than none or one of those tiny little things some of the rooms have. We spend a LOT of time on the balcony when coming back from the parks. Overall, the room was pleasant, but we felt it was no different than any other standard hotel room we have ever stayed in anywhere. Size was good, but nothing really popped out that said Disney or special. (WL and CBR are nicely yet not overly themed). It also needed a bit of maintenance which was kind of disappointing for the cost of the room. Nothing bad mind you, but paint for sure. Lots of nicks and chips around.

Two major complaints with the room other than the painting. We are a family of 4 with "kids" 22 and 15. There is literally not enough drawer space for two people let alone 4. This is a complaint we have with most Disney hotels. More storage space at a Hampton Inn than these rooms. Bathroom. Why oh why is there no dividing door or curtain by the sink area? Sure, there is a door on the bath area, but I am used to most hotels having a way to also close off the sink zone for changing, or just keeping quiet in the early morning. Lastly, while housekeeping was OK, with no rugs, they REALLY need to vacuum more. My wife and I had to do a daily wipe down of the floors just to keep the dust bunnies in check. We did mention this to guest services but it never really changed.

Food places. Well, we ate at Hurricane Hannahs and Beaches and Cream which were good for what they are. Biggest complain on food is the marketplace. Probably the worst "food court" we have ever had. Also, two of the staff there were very rude in regard to mug usage. We ALWAYS buy new mugs but go down in the mornings with old mugs for coffee so as not to contaminate the new ones etc. We also always bring the "new ones" along just to prove the purchase. We were told twice this was not acceptable. When I asked why, no real answer was given so I just kept doing it. I have NEVER been questioned before at any other resort for doing coffee this way.

So overall we enjoyed our stay and in fact booked a bounce back for the resort for next year - regardless of my complaints above, overall, the location and the pool are fantastic.

Just for reference, when I called for the bounce back I inquired about a number of deluxe resorts. For our dates, I checked the WL and the Poly but the only room types available were CL at each. No standard or even more expensive "views". (Seemed very odd to me, and VERY expensive even with the bounce back offer).

Ditto that...been going for years and that food court was never good......

Thank you for your review. I stayed there in July and was very excited, and totally did not expect to be disappointed by the Marketplace, of all things. I guess I underestimated how important your "home foodcourt" is. I've stayed at other Disney hotels, including the values, and don't remember not being excited at picking up food...and yet at the Beach Club it felt like a chore to choose something and pick it up. It's a wonderful resort, and we would totally stay again for the right rate, but I do not have fond memories of the Marketplace.

We'll be there again last week of July, first week of August. Hoping the refurb is done by June as I was told.
I know it is a late reply but from January 2025 through June 2025, Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will be closed for routine maintenance.

I agree, I don't understand how one food court could be so dramatically different than another, it's as if they aren't run by the same company. I have to believe there is one management team responsible for all food court service across the resort. I understand theming the offerings to the location but quality should not vary from location to location.

Re: the food court. I've been staying at YC/BC/BW for years (over 20 or so) and back in the day there wasn't even something like the Marketplace. Just grab and go at all three. The thinking, I think, is that those resorts are so close to Epcot and HS that you can just walk over there and get food. There have always been the TS and YC/BC but BW doesn't even have that actually inside the resort. You have to walk outside on to the BW for any kind of food other than the new semi-breakfast at the bar. The BW Deli isn't really great for breakfast either. I tend to grab breakfast in the parks or walk over to Dolphin for something from Fuel on the way to HS (I don't like the breakfast offerings at HS). Not sure if this really was the original thought process since they do have QS at the MK resorts and you certainly could walk over there just as easily as you can walk to Epcot/HS from these resorts.

Hi there , did you say Disney had bounce back availability for club level last week of July or first week of August? I’m having a heck of time finding any club level using bounceback other than the contemporary which we aren’t crazy about , thank you !

Going back maybe a dozen years ago, I thought marketplace was ok, and then it went downhill. We haven't been at BCV for a few years, but staying this Dec. But we have a 1 bedroom, so we have the option to cook something.

I remember one trip, the cocoa machine was broken, so at the checkout counter you could ask for packets. CM was going to give me one, I asked for two, she said yeah she likes it extra chocolatey too. I just smiled but I'm thinking, no I'm following directions. It's not one packet for 14-16 oz of water.

Hi, yes, when I called for the offer I check Beach Club, Poly and the Wilderness Lodge. At Poly and WL the ONLY room types available for the bounce back were CL. Not sure if the dates mattered at all, but we are traveling last week of July\1st Week of August 2025.

THIS!! I don't understand this. My husband and I stayed at the Grand Floridian in a studio and there was ONE DRAWER under the bed. That's it. There were a couple cubbies in the closet, but there was only one drawer. It's a larger drawer, but there was sleeping space for 5 people with the bed, pull down bed and the bed under the TV (which we thought was a dresser until I tried to "open the drawers" lol). I would never stay in a studio with more than 2 people, but I don't get why they think you can fit 5 people into a room and only provide one drawer for clothes.

I remember when BCV first opened, and the Marketplace had a gelato area, where the bakery area is now, next to the hot foods area. Boy, I loved that gelato! But, unfortunately, the Marketplace has gone way downhill since the gelato was removed.
