I was just wondering how I can center my name under the image in my signature? Not center the whole thing, just my name. I apologize for asking again. ;)

There are 2 ways:

1) A table

2) Unbreakable spaces

The table is slightly harder to set up but looks better.

Which do you want?

<div align="center"><center><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="178" align="left"><tr><td width="100%"><p align="center"><img src="http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/amzey17/Lionkingphoto.jpg"><p align="center"><font size=4>*AMY*</font></td></tr></table></center></div>

That would be fine but I like to have the "m" and the "y" uncapitalized, so if whichever method you used can't do that, I could use the other one.

I just typed it in wrong.

Either one will work.

JC

If you don't like it this way, I will change it to the other way in the morning. Let me know either way please.

JC

Hmm.. I like it, but I'm picky about one thing.. is there any way the picture could be as far to the left as possible, without the space being there? Otherwise, it's great, thanks for your help.

Ok, I don't mean to sound like Miss Know-It-All, but couldn't you just put < center > around your stuff? that's what I do.

Like for < center >Amy< / center > would be
<center>Amy</center>

That's probably not what you were asking, but I just decided to add my ¢10 :D

<center>*Amy*</center>

Does that answer your question?

The &ltcenter> tag will only center within that container. By itself, the container will be the post's cell, thus centering it in the middle of the text box of the message.

I changed it to the other method so the image could be justified closer to the left edge. The table method could do it, but your name wouldn't be centered under the image anymore.

Edit your profile to see how it's done.

Thanks JC, I'll check it out and try to edit it.

Nope, Kiki, because I wanted the name centered under the image, but not in the middle of the page. But thanks anyway :)

Ack! I still can't move it over to the direct center of the image.. grr. Could you maybe give me specific instructions on how to create a space? When I hit the space bar it does nothing to move the name over.

Oh, I see what you mean. Sorry. Now I feel stupid! :D

& nbsp

(without the space after the "&") denotes a non-breakable space.

We can also intergrate your name into the image in an infinite number of ways:

No need to feel stupid, Kiki! :)
Ooh, that looks pretty cool, JC!
Testing it this way with the spaces.. can't tell how many I need yet.
