if someone has a site they are so graciously giving you on a booked week, how do you go about getting it switched in your name? Will disney do that?

Disney really frowns on this unless you were all on the original reservation. They don't want people making money selling their reservations. Our next door neighbor had one they had to cancel and we wanted to just take it over but Disney would not let us change names. We even tried to add us to their reservation and pay the extra adult charges but Disney said the original name on the reservation would have to be there at check in. They did try to cancel and rebook it for us on the same phone call but someone else got it. It really ticked me off at the time.

It's all in the timing. They could call and cancel, and you can call immediately to book it. But, there's always a chance that somebody else will get it.

Isn't this part of the group ressie that Carol set up? I think that may make this easier. That or have Donnie put you on his ressie and have him check in. He says he won't be there, but we all know he can't stay away! :lmao:
