A question for anyone whose toddler had ear tubes

My oldest just had surgery in Feb. for new tubes, adenoids & tonsils ..best thing we ever did, it's like having a new kid. Sleeps much better (no more snoring, apnea issues which made him look worn out all the time). I have to stand over his bed to hear him breathe, when I used to be able to hear him snore/heavy breathing from our room down the hall.

I can usually hear my DD breathing from the hallway when she's asleep too. She also has that terribly worn out look all the time. I'm so hoping that this surgery will give her the ability to get enough rest.

I'm telling you it is the best having your kid "back":woohoo: You remember what is normal for them and know that this is not. I'm sure all will go well and after a short recovery you will be sooooo thankful that you did it. My 7 yr old says He would do it again to feel this good!

DS (10 months old) got tubes on March 13th, when he was 8 1/2 months old, and I'm still waiting for the sleep improvement LOL.

I know that is awfully little to get tubes but he had 7 ear infections between November and February, poor baby!

I'm not convinced that our sleep issues are directly related to the ear issues though. Hopefully your little one's sleep patterns improve. Good luck!
