Good answer, but it answered the wrong question. We were referring to the refillable coffee mug program at Cove Cafe, not the drink station on Deck 9.

No problem. I just wanted to clarify to hopefully find someone from a recent cruise who might know about Cove Cafe's program.

I spent an hour or so chatting with the barista in May and I did not see anything that looked like it was refillable. I did see some really nice China Mugs with the Logo on them, but I think they were just for decor.

That's good to know. I've been carrying our partially completed card with me since our last cruise hoping to use the it on our upcoming cruise. At least I know we can use it!

It is Hot Cocoa packs to mix with hot water, not pre-made.

on are Dec cruise (Magic) they did have travel mugs I believe they were blue with DCL logo we leave on the Wonder Sunday I will check and if so get pictures and post when we get back

Well, it certainly seems they would not miss a merchandising opportunity. I'd love a mug that actually said Cove Cafe on it! Have a great lime green DCL coffee cup that I use every day.

The one on the left is a Cafe Toledo (don't remember the ingredients, wasn't my drink) and the other was a mocha something with Frangelico. I'm not sure they are on the printed menu, but are on the 'wall' menu behind the barista.

Because on board a ship everyone is within close confines, especially the crew, and sickness can spread very rapidly. At the resorts so many people are spread out that it is not that much of a concern. Also, sickness on a whole cruise ship can shut it down for long periods of time while they clean it stem to stern. Lots of lost money and bad PR.

THer are a few threads about this aoready, however, Norovitrus can spread like wildfire on a ship, if someone is ill and they use a refillable mug, the virus is easily passed from the mug to the dispenser lever and onto the next mug.

Suffice it to say that if DCL has detirmeined illness can be avoided or prevented by the exclusion of refillable mugs, so be it. They are not saying you can't use them, just that you can only refill them using the disposable cups provided.

There have also been some horror stories about the resort drink stations, I think I may go to the refill via diposable there, too.

Do they serve a caramel latte only? I saw where they have flavors that are caramel but the latte description included a chocolate additive. I just want plain caramel. I guess they would adjust it if I asked.
