A question about Cove Cafe

Do they serve a caramel latte only? I saw where they have flavors that are caramel but the latte description included a chocolate additive. I just want plain caramel. I guess they would adjust it if I asked.

All you have to do is ask. I dislike chocolate and would have no problem asking them not to add it.

Hi all. I actually purchased a Cove Cafe mug while onboard the Disney Magic in December 2009. We are heading out on the Wonder in 2 weeks, and hope to find another mug. The one I got is my favorite travel mug, and I use almost every day. When I purchased in December, my first coffee drink was included in the cost. Any additional coffees were not included.

THer are a few threads about this aoready, however, Norovitrus can spread like wildfire on a ship, if someone is ill and they use a refillable mug, the virus is easily passed from the mug to the dispenser lever and onto the next mug.

Suffice it to say that if DCL has detirmeined illness can be avoided or prevented by the exclusion of refillable mugs, so be it. They are not saying you can't use them, just that you can only refill them using the disposable cups provided.

There have also been some horror stories about the resort drink stations, I think I may go to the refill via diposable there, too.

While I understand the argument, the virus can just as readily spread through a fountain at a resort. The only difference is it is harder to track on outbreak on land or at a resort. In fact, many more schools have outbreaks than all cruise ships combined. Of course, the media only reports on outbreaks aboard ship, never in schools, at resorts, or at theme parks.

Regardless, DCL has stated that you must use disposable cups at the drink stations, the fact that Norovirus may be more prevalent on land yet not reported as such makes no difference. If DCL decides that all passengers are better off using disposable cups, then we as passengers should abide by that.

Trust me; I have not problem with the policy. I just think it's ironic.

Thanks for the update --I assume that this means that the Cove Cafe refillable mug program is gone too.

I didn't see the Cove Cafe travel mugs in March either. Perhaps they've been gone longer than a month. :confused3
