Hey everyone!
I’m proposing to my girlfriend this Friday, July 4th, and I’m hoping to get a little help to make the day even more meaningful and memorable
THE INFO:
We’re both in our 40s, and this will be a second marriage for each of us. The idea of the engagement itself isn’t a huge surprise, we’ve talked about it, and she’s seen the ring, but she has no idea when the proposal is actually going to happen.
THE ASK FROM YOU:
Here’s where you come in: I’m hoping to create a trail of subtle, uplifting compliments to her throughout the day from kind strangers. Nothing over-the-top or obvious. Just warm, encouraging, slightly “magical” comments like:
My goal is to have enough people say kind, slightly similar things throughout the day that it builds this gentle feeling of, “Huh… that was odd, but really nice and encouraging.”
THE PLAN:
If you're willing to help, I’ll share our location and a few light details via a private Instagram account (happy to DM it to you). All you’d need to do is spot her, say a quick line, smile, and that's it. Hopefully this will just make her feel a little extra special that day.
We’re checking in to our resort in the Epcot area tomorrow evening, Thursday, July 3. And we are planning to go over to the Grand Floridian/Polynesian area both Thursday night and Friday night to eat and watch the fireworks.
I don't have solid plans for during the day Friday, July 4th yet. But, depending on the weather, we will likely be around the Boardwalk area and Stormalong Bay for most of the day, perhaps even the Premium Outlets. No budget for the park on this trip, but we enjoy the resorts, and the waterparks if the weather is great
If you’re a local, on vacation, or just happen to be nearby and would be willing to help me pull this off, it would mean the world to me. You’ll be helping create a memorable day and weekend for both of us!
Thanks so much - J

- “Hey, I just wanted to say that you have such a bright energy today.”
- “You seem like someone on the edge of something really beautiful.”
- “There’s something glowing in you today. It’s lovely.”
- “You seem like someone who’s about to step into a really good season."
- “You just seem…, like someone who’s been through a lot and is about to takeoff."
