~ A PTR for a CAMPING Trip That Might Never Be ~ *TR Started (link inside)*

Yes, I am smitten.

It all started yesterday when I was checking out a friend's TR (hi Lessa :wave2: ). She had posted pictures of the band Off Kilter.

Now, I have never seen this band perform, but I've heard great things about them. We just never were able to fit in any of their performances on previous trips.

Those of you who have seen them before, have you really looked at some of these men??? :hyper:

The two that I am smitten with are:

Jamie

and Mark

Needless to say, catching a performance by Off Kilter has somehow made its way to the top of my *must do* list. ::yes::

If anyone happens to have any pictures of Off Kilter, feel free to post them here! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: Can't say I blame them! Does it work like last year? The calendar says their last day is the 2nd week of June, but last year they ended up getting out the first week. :confused3

They build in 4 snow days to the schedule, so if we don't use them all we get out early. Seems kind of silly, but that is Maryland:)

I even got a snow day yesterday since we got 10 inches. It was soo nice not having to get ready for work and just be at home. Why can't i do that everyday??:confused3 I would have never made it to work anyways because it took DH about 2 hrs to snow blow the entire driveway.

Glad you got the day off! :thumbsup2

Oh good! :)

The "got boys?" thing is cute. I've got them! Lots of them!! :rotfl:

:rotfl: Together we almost have enough for a baseball team. :thumbsup2

I think Maine did that too.

Off Kilter puts on an amazing show!!!

I've watched some of their performances on youtube and I love that type of music. But, I'm not sure how much listening I'll be doing when I'm there.

Well...Off Kilter was totally off my radar...until now! Tell me more! I may have to do some re-thinking of the Must-Do list! ;) (Gotta love a guy who can be hot even in a skirt....er, I mean, kilt!)

Just a word about the snow. I live in Rochester, NY and we probably got about 10 inches of snow throughout the day yesterday. Did we get a snow day? Absolutely not! If they can dig a tunnel to the buses, the kids go to school....much to their disappointment. They keep hoping for a snow day, but I don't see it happening! Gotta love upstate NY! :thumbsup2

I'm sure I'll have a full report on Off Kilter when I return. :p

Growing up in Maine, I went to school in many a snowstorm. But, down here - people don't even know how to drive in the rain. :sad2:

We love Off Kilter! We have one of their cd's (bought it at the little kiosk in Canada). We've seen them several times, they are so much fun.

Just signing in, I hope to get all caught up with your report tomorrow.

:welcome: Thanks for stopping by! :goodvibes There are links on the first page that take you to each installment so that you don't have to read through the entire thread. However, don't feel you need to read everything! Just jump in and post. There isn't much in there that's really necessary to know about the trip.

I'm really excited to see them now! :hyper:

After my excitement had settled a bit, I moved on to the next envelope to open. It was pretty big!

Do you know who it was from??? Do you know what was inside???

It was all brand new maps from Heidi (MRYPPNS)!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks again Heidi! :wave2:

I'm not sure how I missed the fact that you re-started you PTR.....but I just got all caught up with the links.

You are very welcome for the park maps.

I brought a cheap toaster with us this past trip and loved it....so nice to have bagels and english muffins for breakfast.

Did anyone give you any help with SeaWorld? I love love love SeaWorld....the last time we went was in 2007. Let me know if you have any questions, happy to help. My biggest tip for SeaWorld is that you have to have a plan for seeing the shows because they are spread out over the park and the show times overlapped a lot.

So... don't leave me hanging... what did you get in the mail?

Sorry - got busy scanning old photos and uploading to Facebook today. I'll try and get an update this weekend.

Do you know if there's a way to find out the show times before we go?

And glad you're back on my PTR. :goodvibes

Hey I thought you wanted a picture with out the Kilt!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2:

Both of my previous trips to Disney World began with a brand new bag or purse. On our first trip I used this cool Columbia bag, which I got for a great price:

The second trip was the ever popular Baggalini.

Well, this time I thought maybe I should be a bit more hip. Not to mention, every PTR I read had someone showing off pictures of their new Vera Bradley Hipster. The peer pressure was just TOO MUCH! Amy (DisMomAmy) was kind enough to tell me about the great deal she got on her hipster since some colors were being retired. I made my way over to the Vera Bradley website and made my purchase.

Yesterday, the Fed Ex man delivered my package.

This wasn't just ANY package. No, no - this was a very special package. It might have looked ordinary from the outside.

But, then I opened the box and I quickly realized how very special it was. pixiedust:

I was seriously blown away by the box and tissue paper and how pretty all of the packaging was. I'm a simple girl! I buy my clothes at Walmart! I'm not use to this kind of treatment. Usually when I order something online, it arrives at my doorstep - thrown into the cardboard box without any care. Nothing special at all.

But, this package just made me feel so special inside - like Vera really cared about ME! Little ol' me. :goodvibes Dare I say I felt a bit like a princess for those few moments. princess:

Oh yeah - and here's what was inside:

Connor was anxious to take a picture so I let him take one of me modeling my new bag. Please bear in mind that this picture was taken after four days of being home with my boys - ALONE. I was feeling (and looking) a bit ragged. :faint:

I may be turning 35, but I WILL be a hip Mama at Walt Disney World. :thumbsup2

And glad you're back on my PTR. :goodvibes

I found the show times for SeaWorld on there website back in 2007(which I don't think is the most user friendly) I think our dates were posted about a week before we left. I made my own spreadsheet chart to take with me.

Isn't it impressive how they package those bags?? I have ordered gifts from their website before, but never purchased anything for myself (all of my bags/wallets have come from stores) so I was shocked to find I got all of the beautiful packaging for a clearance item!! :cool1: My next door neighbor is hooked now too - she wants to go in together on a purchase so we can share shipping!

Sorry you are so ragged! (You don't look like you've been home for 4 days.) We had 4 consecutive ice/snow days in December - I know how you feel!

Just keep thinking of how few days there are left until your trip! :goodvibes
