~ A PTR for a CAMPING Trip That Might Never Be ~ *TR Started (link inside)*

The second trip was the ever popular Baggalini.

I bought a Bagallini last spring for my trip to Vegas and LOVED it. I was looking forward to taking it to Disney ( and still am) but now....
Well, this time I thought maybe I should be a bit more hip. Not to mention, every PTR I read had someone showing off pictures of their new Vera Bradley Hipster. The peer pressure was just TOO MUCH!
I am right there with ya! I LOVE a new bag....and I don't really need a good reason to feel like I need one! Seeing all the mention of the hipster on this site is driving me bag-crazy! I am doing my best to resist peer pressure, but I'm not sure I'm gonna make it! LOL! :rotfl:

I may be turning 35, but I WILL be a hip Mama at Walt Disney World. :thumbsup2

:goodvibes :hippie:

Very cool!!! I think you look fabulous with your new VB!

Hard not to look good with that bag, eh? ;) And, of course, you were the first one to show me what a gorgeous bag it is. :thumbsup2

I found the show times for SeaWorld on there website back in 2007(which I don't think is the most user friendly) I think our dates were posted about a week before we left. I made my own spreadsheet chart to take with me.

Cool. Thanks! I'll check it out. :)

Nice.
Looks like it will work perfectly!

I think it will be very comfortable. And now that we're diaper free, I really don't need to put all that much stuff in my bag. But, none of that really matters as long as it looks good. :rotfl:

Isn't it impressive how they package those bags?? I have ordered gifts from their website before, but never purchased anything for myself (all of my bags/wallets have come from stores) so I was shocked to find I got all of the beautiful packaging for a clearance item!! :cool1: My next door neighbor is hooked now too - she wants to go in together on a purchase so we can share shipping!

It really did make my day. ::yes::

Sorry you are so ragged! (You don't look like you've been home for 4 days.) We had 4 consecutive ice/snow days in December - I know how you feel!

Just keep thinking of how few days there are left until your trip! :goodvibes

Chuck was out of town for the week, but he came home today so all is good now. I have help again! :cool1:

I've used both of those other two bags as purses and both are great. My Bagallini got kind of dirty looking and I tried throwing it in the wash, but it still just looks icky.

First Jackie got Amy to buy one. Then Amy got ME to buy one. Will I perhaps get YOU to buy one next??? :rotfl: I love that it's cloth material. I really wanted the Caffe Late pattern/color (brown), but they were out. I love the red, just think it won't quite go with everything as well as the other would have. Can you see I bought the wallet too? I forgot to mention that.

I used my baggallini as a purse all summer and it is a little ragged looking. I was gonna try to wash it before our trip. I was just at the VB site....oh my! I do have a birthday coming up in a week....perhaps a little birdie should tell my DH about the clearance sale! ::yes::

Oh yes! Little birdies can be very helpful. ::yes:: I say treat yourself! :thumbsup2

Glad I could help sway you over to the VB side. :rotfl:

:rotfl2: It's like six degrees of Vera or paying it forward!

cute bag...I might be the next one!:cool1:

I wonder if I get a discount since my maiden name was bradley:rotfl2:

Hi, I like your bag. I see alot of women our age (Im 32) with vera bradley bags in my area. I had no idea they where so popular!! I need to find myself something to bring into the parks, Im thinking some sort of sling type bag. I went to the Magic Kingdom in 2006 and wore a waist pack!!! Not this time:lmao:

Love the bag. If it weren't for my camera, I'd get one.

The packaging was cool. I may just have to order something just to feel so special.:rotfl:

Another potential client! :cheer2: Good luck on that discount. :rotfl:

:welcome: Does waist pack = fanny pack??? You definitely need an upgrade! ;)

Seriously!! :goodvibes

The camera will be an issue for me. I have two cameras that I bring to WDW with me. One is small and can fit in my purse and it can make videos. The other is my nice/fancy digital SLR, but it's HUGE and has it's own special bag. Haven't figured out what I'll do yet.

:rotfl: Exactly my problem. I use to carry my camera in my little backpack purse and would put drinks in with it and of course they ended up getting the camera wet. Now that I have a digital SLR I went ahead and purchased a backpack camera bag. The camera goes in the bottom pouch and holds one additional lens and has room for my Kodak camera. It has a top pouch for all my other stuff. And it has one pocket to hold a drink. I keep my camera, lanyards and other Disney stuff in it so I am ready to go at anytime.

Here's the bag I purchased last year for our trip:

It's quite comfy and I think I was able to wear this and my bagallini at the same time. I probably won't bring my big camera every day to the parks. It takes nice pictures, but it's so much easier to carry the small one.

Here's my big camera - a Canon EOS SLR Digital Rebel:

And the lens that I got for $25 last year right before our trip:

My bag is just a little bigger. I have the Canon XSi, very close to yours. It was my Christmas present this year. I haven't gotten tired of carrying it yet, but one problem I realized is I can't wear my lanyard and have the camera around my neck. The pins may scratch up the camera.

I have dropped two cameras and broke them since being married, so the DH is really threatening me with this one. The previous ones weren't this expensive. I keep telling him I got this camera covered, I went and purchased the repair plan from Best Buy, and purchased an insurance policy just in case I lose it or something.

That's a great deal on that lens. What size is it? (Is it size or some other measurement, I am new to having different lens etc.)

Carissa, I love the post about Off Kilter, we always just whiz by them to get to some rides or something else! Would love to take the time to stop and really listen...and watch of course!!

I had to look at my old PTR/TR to see what it was. It's a Sigma 28-80mm F3.5-5.6 Mini Zoom Macro. The same lens, but for a Nikon rang up at $100, but for some reason the one for the Canon was $26. The guy who rang up my purchases didn't know why it was so much cheaper and he didn't care. So I ended up with a great deal! :thumbsup2 I'd like a better zoom (this one still doesn't get that close), but for that price I couldn't pass it up.

I've already told Chuck that no matter what, I am going to see them on this trip! Even if I have to do it alone. ;)

I love the new bag, one day I want a camera more like yours I just use a cybershot.

I know what you mean about the bigger camera - I have one that's similar to yours (but not an SLR) and it takes great pictures, but it's difficult to carry around. Though DH probably won't mind carrying it... I'm thinking of buying a small pocket sized camera for trips and outings.

What a good hubby you have. :thumbsup2

Sometimes my digital SLR takes some really nice pictures, but for the most part, I'm pretty happy with the quality my smaller one takes. And like I already mentioned, my SLR doesn't take video like the smaller one does. I don't think I've taken any video at WDW before. I will be on this trip!
