a princess and a pirate will enjoy disney to celebrate their 5 year anniversary:)

Hi!! Just found your PTR!! And guess what? I have terribly curly hair too. And guess what else? I'll be staying at a value resort too but Pop instead. Guess what else? None of our ADR's match. :sad2:

Did you think I was all full of not good news? NOPE!! Because on the bright side, we arrive on the same day and will be at all the same parks on all the same days. Our rest day is even the same! You're just a lucky duck who gets to stay a little longer!! So we will have to arrange something!!

welcome to my PTR!! Its nice to met fellow curly headed people:) we all know the struggle with our hair LOL-- i would suggest the amika hair straightener, i can only say wonderful things about it:) Thats so sad that none of our ADRS match--- but if we will be in the same parks we should met up:) it would be nice to put a face to a name:) How many days is your trip? POP is a great resort also!! it used to be my first choice-- and would be my second choice for sure! i am glad you joined my PTR!! i hope you enjoy it:)

I'm here- and loving your PTR so far! You are amazingly quick with all of your updates- which is fantastic! I take a lot longer with mine- but I have 6 more months to keep it going.

Anyways- I had to take notes to remind me what I wanted to comment on!

First- your wedding dress is sooo beautiful. You guys look so cute.
And your hair- OMG- I'm so jealous! I have a little curl in mine- but it's so think that it looks silly unless I straighten it out. I wanted mine to be down and curly for my wedding- but again- it is so thick curls don't stick around and stay pretty for too long. So you should flaunt that curly hair b/c it is BEAUTIFUL! :goodvibes

Also- good job on the weight watchers. My DFi is in school to become a nutritionist- so he is my diet plan. But he says lots of good things about weight watchers- where most diets he claims are inefficient- and not good for you in the long run. But he's a toothpick and definitely doesn't abide by his teachings.

About the cake- there is a cake thread in the disney restaurant board you should check out- it's got lots of good info.

That sucks about your plane tickets. I know that sometimes you can get really good deals on tickets. There's a place here that you can fly to Orlando for $38 each way. But it only leaves on Mondays and Fridays. So we're going to fly Southwest instead. But next trip (and there will be a next trip in the near future) I'm going to take full advantage of supper cheap tickets.

I love the "petty" race car! I'm from NC- so Nascar is in my blood.

I'm so jealous that you are going at Halloween- and have the chance to do the MNSHP! Halloween is my second favorite holiday (after christmas) and I would love to go to that some day.

Your dogs are soo cute! Is the little one in a Steeler's jersey? What kind of puppy is he? My animals are my children too- and my baby has his 2nd birthday this week!

Thanks for the wine recommendation! I'm a big wine drinker- so I will have to check that out while I'm there.

Good luck with trying for a baby! I think it would be extra magical to get preg at WDW. But I'm hoping that the magic isn't too strong while I'm there for my honeymoon- we aren't quite there yet!

Here is me sending you some pixie dust: :tink:

Love the report so far! Keep up the good work!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

thanks so much for coming over to my PTR!! i am going to stop by your also:) thanks so much for the dress and hair compliments:) year as much as my curls do drive me nutts-- sometimes they are ok to have LOL !!! I am so Jealous of your Fi for going to school for nutrtion!! I started out doing this in school and changed my major!! and Now i am more than ever interested in nutrition-- and it drives me nutts that i didnt stick out the major!!!

Paco is a Chihuahua:) and yep he has his little steelers jersey on:) lol he is my baby till i have one!! I have baby fever right now!!! thanks for the pixie dust i will need it :)

you should try the Rosa Regale for sure-- i love it!!

your are lucky to get flights so cheap in your area to Orlando!! thats awesome!! our flight times changed too which is a bummer-- but hey at least i am going to disney!!

I will have to check out the cake board:)

oh and happy bday to your baby puppy also:) thanks for joining my PTR!!! yippee!!!

thanks to everyone who has been reading so far:) our 4th day in Disney will be spent at Hollywood studios.. we always try to arrive here early-- but not too early this year because its extra magic hours-- and sometimes in Sept we can get through HS pretty fast-- so i am thinking we will arrive around 10am-- we normally always start out with the great movie ride:) i love that ride-- and it really get me pumped for the rest of the day at HS. I always love getting photopass pics taking at HS-- and we got a lot last year and stupid me missed the deadline to order them!!! :( oh well we will just have to get more this year!!! so what do i ride at HS? pretty much everything-- except star tours-- ugh that is too much for my stomach, and rocking roller coaster-- because the hubby says i would not be able to handle it hahha!! heck he can't even handle it!! Last year i was very proud of myself and for the first time-- went on the TOT!!! i was so scared of it , but now i can't wait to get there and ride it again!!! After riding most of the morning we will normally take a break-- with a frozen lemonade-- and will eat lunch around 1:00pm at Pizza Planet-- which is another tradition that just happened LOL. In 2006 my mom and I tool a mother daughter trip-- we were waiting in the beginning part of the muppets-- and all the sudden i felt like i was going to faint-- i don't know if it was lack of food, or feeling clastrophoibic, so .. my mom dragged me out of there so fast out of a side exit door LOL-- and we ran over to pizza planet and sat for a few minutes-- and my mom got me a drink-- then we decided-- hey this place looks yummy... we should just eat here-- and i ate and felt better, and ever since we have been going back to Pizza Planet!! But.. when the DH goes of course he has to play some of the video games:) I normally get the veggie pan pizza that they have-- with a diet coke-- salad with Italian dressing, and i get a small bag of the lays chips for the dessert-- and i will eat it poolside later in the week:)

after lunch is more riding/attractions-- then its some shopping!!

then.. we have a 8:10pm ressie at 50's prime time!!! The reason this is so late is because-- we originally had sci-fi scheduled for 5:55pm-- but we just weren't feeling it-- and we knew we always had a delcious meal at 50's, oh and its also extra magic hours that night so a later dinner works for us. Here are some pics from prime time....

oh i also realized that i forgot to introduce my mom!! She is always part of the cast! She is along with us with her friend Sharon-- Here is a picture of her with her " veggies" for dessert-- because she didn't finish her veggies-- they brought them back to her with some whippe cream and sprinkles LOL it was a lot of fun!! oh and my dad is in the background of the pic
100_1127.jpg

we always know we can get a declious meal at prime time:)

after dinne since there is no Fantasmic that night-- bummer!! we will most likely head back to the resort or downtown disney.....

next up is... Day 5-- a realxing day-- and i will need your help on the best place for sea racers, what you really think of WCC, :)

well.. since i am a lifetime dieter-- ( except in disney LOL) i figured since dieting goes hand and hand with my trip report because i am losing more weight for disney so i can eat more of course lol i will share some of my meal ideas, recipes, along the way-- keep in mind that i am doing weight watchers and will mention things in points--- tonight for dinner-- i had a morning star spicy black bean burger which is 2 points, on a arnold sandwich select thins- ( wheat) which is one point-- so i had a 3 point sandwich!! A it has a lot of fiber-- and the more fiber in the diet the better and the less points-- this is what both of these look like in case any on is interested in trying this...

ServeImage.jpg

a_thins_multi.jpg

also along with this for a side we had corn and black mean salad-- 2 cans of corn, 2 cans of black means-- drained and rinsed-- one onion chopped, and about 4 table spoons ( 1 for each can) of newmans light balsamic vinegerete-- for 1/2 cup its one point:) and again lots of fiber...

Hope you will enjoy the meal ideas/diet tips:)

please excuse all my typos!! LOL it anything i type is confusing just ask-- i type so fast that my mind sometimes goes faster than my fingers-- sorry about that-- please bear with me LOL:rotfl2:

hello hello! :cheer2:
im here!
your PTR is making me hungry! love all the pics! the wedding pics are so pretty!

ill be folllowing along! :)
Also love your hair straight! looks awesome! i have curly hair too and i have to straighten it every day! whatta pain

LOL i guess i do update pretty qucikly:) thanks for stopping by again!! oh i would totally reccommend the amika for your hair!!! i have tried so many products and other things for my hair and nothing works!! My hair is very curley and goes " POOF" in florida weather-- even though i will mostly wear it curly on vacation-- for a few nights i will pull out the amika-- and let me just say-- this gets my hair poker straight!! it used to take me longer to straighten my hair because my hair was so long-- buts its a little past my shoulders now and takes at the most 20 mins? for poker straight hair!! you can't beat it!!

Try the Rosa Regale for sure:) you will love it!! I am looking forward to trying sunshine seasons-- what would you suggest to get there? Also Paco thanks you for the birthday wishes:)

20 MINUTES!!!! Oh my god I think i'll have to go out tomorrow and get it!! Gosh even with the one I have, and it's a pretty good one, it takes me at least an hour depending on how well I blow dry my hair!! Yeah usually I just throw my hair in a ponytail at disney and just let it go in all it's fro-ness!! (no it's not a word, I just made it up! :rotfl:) As for sunshine seasons, their ceaser salad is really good, I'm a big salad lover, my dad said the ham and salami grinder was really good, as was the vegetable cuban sandwich. I'm sure I've had more things there but I can't remember what I had!! I have the worst memory in the world!! You're plans for HS sound good to me!! We always have to eat at Pizza Planet too, don't know why maybe it's because I like watching the people from the window upstairs, I don't know!

Your PTR is making me SUPER hungry too!! Geez!! Your plans look so fun!!

How much is this Amika straightener?! It sounds fab...my hair only takes 20 minutes anyway though. I think I have it "trained". Its a pain nonetheless.

ITS AMAZING!!! I wish i could train my hair LOL it really does have a mind of its own!

Yep 20 mins!!! its amazing!!! you only have to go over it once!!! I don't even have to blow dry my hair-- you can let it air dry all wild and curly and just take the amika and you have silky smooth straight hair!! Try looking on ebay or doing a google search-- i got mine at a kiosk in my local mall -- it might be a little hard to find! I normally also let my hair just go all wild at disney LOL sometimes no sense of fighting the humidity LOL MMM!!! sunshine seasons soulds delicious!!! i can't wait to try it! Yeah there is just something about Pizza Planet that i love LOL!!! man i am craving some disney food today LOL

Today for lunch at work we ordered subway:) I was very excited about this because i know i can get something very healthy here-- i got the 6 inch veggie delight-- i get all veggies on the sub with honey mustard for the dressing-- it is delicious!! For WW points 4 points when you get it on wheat bread:) Here is a picture of one from online just so you can see how good it looks...

also i found something else delicious for a chocolate attack low in points-- chocolate twizzlers!! 1 Point a piece-- and the new chocolate twizzlers are soft-- and made with readl hersheys syrup!!! so delicious

pf_twizz_twists_chocolate.gif

oh a can i recomment the new diet cherry dr pepper out!! OMG this is soo delicious!! I had a can today with my sub!! just wanted to drop by and add the healthy meal idea of the day!! it was soo good!!

that i hope everyone has a safe and wonderful fourth of july!!! more PTR updates coming later-- but now its time to hit the picnics!!:banana:party::tinker:

Thanks, I'm going to see if I can find the amika. My mission is on!! Ooo I love the diet cherry dr. pepper, in fact I'm drinking one right now!!!

hello everyone-- i hope everyone had a wonderful fourth of July with a lot of good picnic foods-- fireworks and spending time with family and friends-- or spending time in disney!!:rotfl2: I just wanted to add real quick before i add my healthy meal option for the day-- and before i go on to our day realxing-- and our plans for day 5.

I recently got into these vera bradley bags-- they are so colorful and pretty-- i normally carry a small sling bag in disney-- or a medium tote-- but i could not pass up a vera bradley larger hipster!!
97f1_1_sbl_8308_1.jpg

this is the one i got called petal pink i think-- i am not a huge pink fan-- however-- i do not believe in paying full price for these kinds of bags either-- lol its more money i can save for another disney trip LOL!! I am very budget savvy!! So-- i won this on ebay brand new with tags- for maybe half of what i would paid-- so i though pink will due:) I might look for a darker one -- with blues but we shall see:)

The other item i got was a new camera

Its a kodak easy Share 10.3 mega pixtels  I dropped my old camera on my ceramic kitchen floor a few weeks ago and broke it-- but Josh came home with this one for me last weekend
6DE4B8D25EC844128AA527B6F305DFD4.jpg

only my camera is blue not pinkk-- although it would match the bag well LOL!!! I just wanted to add those two items quickly-- not its time for dinner-- and then more updating-- so please stay tuned!!!

Very cute bag!! I'm more of a backpack girl in the parks myself but I know a lot of people use vera! Ooo a new camera!! I'm sorry the other one broke but hey you have a new one now!! Haha!

thanks:) yeah i wasnt too upset that the other one broke i needed a new one LOL and the bag-- i was never a vera fan-- but they are kinda growing on me:) I might try to get one of the vera mini backpacks those are cute and you should check those out!!

tonight for dinner i had grilled zucchini with feta:) it was so good i am back full speed ahead counting points since my trip is coming up!!! This was really easy to make-- I buy the fat free calorie free spray butter-- cut the zucchini in chunks-- add basil, garlic salt, ground pepper, and sautee it in the butter spray till browned-- then i add a sprinkle of feta cheese-- depending on hot many zucchini's i make-- its a nice light summer meal!! you can also make brown or white rice and put this on top rice--- tomorrow for dinner will be grilled chicken salads:) i will update how i make tomorrow....

now for day 5 plans.....

we figured that after we hit all the parks at least once we would take a relaxing day and hang out at the resort . So far this is my plan. Wake up early and get a light breakfast eat poolside-- go for a morning swim, maybe check out the resort gift shop, then get showered-- and get ready for downtown disney-- or resort hopping-- i am debating doing the sea racer boats this year-- has anyone else done them? What do you think?:confused3 If i did this i think we would go to wilderness lodge for the boats because we have dinner ressies at Whispering Canyon Cafe-- and then i can do to downtown disney after dinner-- except-- for some reason this ADR is really bugging me!! I have been trying to get to WCC for years to eat-- but for some reason-- something about it-- keeps making me cancel the ressie-- i have been reading reviews on the WAVE-- and i am thinking-- hmmm-- i wonder if anything is open there-- i am really curious -- so i might try looking at the menu after i post this :)

after dinner i am thinking of heading to downtown disney-- and stopping at goofys candy for the pretzel rods that you can make yourself with the snack credits--- mmm!! i have never done this before-- and i am dying to try one this year!! plus i think they are awesome souvenir ideas!!! who wouldnt love one of those? LOL!!

So what do you guys think -- WCC or the WAVE? hmmm tough choice! I need help on this one!!

Also something else i need help on-- were oh were should i order this anniversary cake from?? I want something delicious-- but not over 60 dollars-- and something small-- and i am staying at a value resort-- so i am guessing-- any cake i order i will have to have delivered to the restaurant-- or pick it up?:confused3 Something else i am clueless about--- I am sure with the help of everyone i will get it figured out!

Also-- I am inviting everyone to join me on facebook-- come and search and find me-- Desiree Patterson-- is my name!! just leave me a message that you are from the disboards and i will be happy to except you-- i am also a facebook addict

One more thing-- I am currently reading the book " The hidden magic walt disney world" this book is good-- its bout all the hidden magic! LOL lets just say my eyes are going to be open for so many more things this year-- i would recommend this book for sure-- also can anyone recommend any other disney books? well i am off to see what i think of the wave menu-- what do you guys think? Keep WCC or change to the Wave?
