A Priceline Question

The bidding for travel site doesn't address this so I thought I'd ask the Priceline veterans here this question. I know you aren't guarantee a specific room when you buy through Priceline, but if I needed a smoking room, do you think I'd have a problem getting one? My wife smokes 2-3 cigarettes a day, and has a thing about having one when she does her hair and won't consider a room that isn't smoking. Basically, if I get the room through Priceline and can't get smoking, I'll be looking for a volunteer to stay with me . I don't need a guarantee, just a probably won't have a problem. Thanks

After I make a priceline ressie, I wait a few days and call the hotel directly. I ask for certain bed arrangements (King vs. 2 doubles) and non-smoking. I have always gotten what I asked for. One time, they tried to give me a smoking room at check in. When I persisted that I would not except it, they finally came up with a non-smoking room for me. I don't think that you will have any problems requesting a smoking room and not get it. JMHO I would call and request it ahead of time. Best of luck! I have saved a lot of money using priceline.

Hi,
Priceline, for some reason, defaults to non smoking. That would be a problem for me, but, in reading the priceline site, they indicated that you can call the hotel directly and make your preferences known. I did just this and had no problem having it switched to a smoking optional room. Good luck.

I have used Priceline many times and haven't had a problem getting any of my requests, ie.. non-smoking, double beds, even a room for disabled persons, when needed.

AS A MATTER OF FACT>>> I just saved $590 using priceline for a reservation during Spring Break. Bid $40 for a 2 1/2 * for 7 nights.

Accepted at Best Western Lake Buena Vista for 7 nights. Only cost me $312.00 total, if I would have booked through their website, it would have cost me $119.00 per night.


I like the $40.00 per night better

It seems there are usually more people wanting non-smoking than smoking rooms, so I don't think you'll have any problems getting a smoking room. I LOVE Priceline!

You should not have a problem making request at the hotel directly. I also love Priceline for hotels and car rentals! Good luck!
