Kansas City DISers: anyone know how far away this restaurant & store is to the Great Wolf Lodge? It seems like KC's getting all the good stuff and this warrants a trip down there.

It is in the same area. The roads to me are a bit confusing, but I would say less than 5 minutes. Heck it might be easier to walk.

T-Rex is in a shopping area called Legends right next to Nebraska Furniture Mart and Cabelas. The entire area is called Village West.

Yes, plans were announced a little while ago. It will be in DTD. There is a new restaurant going in the AK, but it is in Asia, and I believe Asian themed (both TS and CS).

Yea, I believe that will be the Yak and Yeti restaurant........

Thanks for the pics! We actually are planning on making the trip up to KC soon just for the T-Rex Cafe. DS's favorite restaurant is Rainforest Cafe (we have to make the 2+ hour trip a few times a year to go to the one in Overland Park) and he loves dinosaurs. When I first heard of this coming to KC I thought they must have read DS's mind.

I cant wait until DH and I go to Disney next August. We have plans to do both RFC (AK 4 breakfast) and TRC (4 dinner). We havent been to a RFC before and I've always wanted to try it out. I cant wait to eat at both. I LOVE the sounds of the rainforest and hearing the thunderstorms would be really cool. And for some reason, I love dinos. I find them VERY interesting. Dont ask me why, cuz I have no idea One of my fav rides is Ellens Adventure because of the Dinos and I love Dinosaur in AK. Even though it freaks me out and Im terrified on it, I still love it! Yes I admit it. Im a very weird person

Fall of 2007 doesn't seem that far off for the opening of the DTD location. Does anybody know if they have even started buliding?

We are going in November and I'm wondering whether to leave space to give it a try?

I've heard and read on several sites that it doesnt open in DTD until sometime in Jan 2008. Here is some stuff showing them constructing some of the things that will go in the restraunt. I think the seats in the middle of the dino is pretty cool.
