A pregnant mama, Mr. Crazypants, and Ga-Gae celebrate Epcots 30th! TR LINK-10/16!

Hi! Alexandria looks like it was such a fun place to live. I actually lived there when I was 2-4, but don't remember it. My mom was relocated out of DC after that and we never lived there again.

We plan to bring our full size (Baby Jogger City Select) but can definitely see bringing something smaller once Aria is older. IDK if I would choose an umbrella though, just bc the wheels are so wimpy and no basket. Maybe the City Mini (though I think it's horribly ugly) or something in between like that?

The Beach Club is going to be fantastic for your pictures! I love your idea of the seersucker outfit! It'll be easier to keep clean so early in the morning too!

Hi! I'm joining in...Here's my experiences with strollers. We have a 3.5 year old and now a 1 year old. The first few times we did Disney with our son we used our Maclaren and it was AMAZING. You can push a Maclaren one handed...I do it all the time. I love, love, love my Maclaren. I decided for our weeklong March trip this past spring to rent aka 'test drive' a bigger stroller/different brand since I knew we would need a double stroller for the week and we hadn't yet bought one.

So we went with Magic Strollers because they had the best deal and had a City Mini. And the conclusion I came to was that the stroller was great for a week at Disney with two kids but it was TOO big for me for around town use. I like how small our Maclaren is...it's not bulky, doesn't take up tons of space in the trunk, lightweight, etc. BUT the things that make it to bulky for everyday use make it great for family vacation! Really deep sunshades, more room for the kids, nice basket underneath, etc. The one thing I absolutely HATED was the raincover because it was IMPOSSIBLE to get on the stupid thing. Maclaren's raincover is really easy to put on and off. So, it was money well spent for us to rent and try it out. I loved it for the park BUT we aren't in the parks every day so it's too big for my needs. Since then we've decided to forgo the double stroller and buy a single jogging stroller for me to use this fall to train for my half marathon. I can run with our daughter while big brother is at school. We figured we'll just take both singles with us for our Christmas trip. And since we'll be staying at WL we can leave one of the strollers for part of the day if AG is really into walking/being a big boy.

Lastly, I'm a fellow Downton lover. I'm so, so, so ready for January...did you see this lovely little clip? http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/06/25/downton-abbey-clip-with-shirley-maclaine-and-maggie-smith-video/

Hello Everyone! :wave2:

I'm back from the wedding and from our trip to Newport, and I've been busily trying to catch up on all your TRs before I get back to this one. I will be back with an update soon and personal responses, but I just wanted to stop in and share some BIG news!

DH and I went for an elective ultrasound today to try and find out the gender of the baby before he deployed. We figured it would be the one thing we could do together, and something he could be present for.

Well, its still a little early, so its not 100%, but the ultrasound tech was convinced, and all signs point to.....

GIRL! princess:

DH better start saving his pennies for the BBB! :rotfl:

YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!! Oh, a little princess to spoil, its soooo much fun! Congrats!

Hey there! I followed the link in your signature over here to your PTR from whenever you posted on my PTR :thumbsup2

I just read the first ten pages! Sorry I missed your move -- glad that things went so smoothly! I can totally relate because I do not know what I'd do without my parents and family to help out! They luckily live only 10 minutes away (and my MIL lives about 5 mins away). When we last moved, my DH was working massive overtime at work & I had just gotten a bad report from the dr & had to take it easy. I had NO idea how I would move an entire household in a situation like that! :lmao: :confused3 Luckily for me, everyone stepped in and really helped me out a lot! I have no idea what I would've done without my parents!!! They did SO much work that weekend! Having family to help out really is the best! :grouphug:

I think your plan to do the Photo Session at 8:30am is a GREAT idea! If you think about it, a ton of resort guests will be headed to the parks to make rope drop! So you shouldn't have a crowded resort!!! :thumbsup2 At the beach club -- here are some suggestions for poses! There is a car near the airline check-in desk (going towards the bus stops) that is super cute for pics! I think your son's suit jacket would really pop against the colors on the car (it's wooden). Also, make sure to get some beach shots! They do some really cute poses on the beach with the BC in the background & can also get the Boardwalk in the background if you face the other direction! :thumbsup2

We did our photo session there a few years ago & it turned out great! They also have some cute indoor locations -- the little room off the DVC wing with the bookcases (sorry I know it has a name, but it is completely slipping my mind at the moment!) I picked up a brochure last year on our trip because of the new pricing. I'll upload it to my laptop this afternoon & post it here so you & your readers can see it! I highly recommend the photo session!!! And I think all of Disney's locations are gorgeous for photos!

Really enjoyed seeing your pics of the Bed & Breakfast and the Mansions! I would love to go on tours like that some day! I went with my grandparents years ago to a local mansion in town, but it was a really small mansion  Still beautiful, just not much to see!

I loved your "last day" pictures!!! That is exactly what I would do if I ever moved to a different city!!! I'd go to all of my favorite places in town -- local bakeries, pizza shops, stores, etc! Great idea! I love cupcakes too & there is actually a "Disney cupcake challenge" -- have you seen it?! If not, let me know! I'll post that here as well! ;)

Going back to read your schedule for your trip & then I'll comment more! Just didn't want to forget what I had to say! I had Tyler 5 months ago & swear I still have pregnancy brain ;)

YAY CONGRATS! :cheer2: How exciting to have a little girl and she will have a big brother to always watch out for her! Bring on all things Disney Princess'!! princess:princess:princess:

Congrats on the news. That's great that your DH was able to be there with you for that news anyway.

It really is nice to have one of each!

CONGRATS!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I'm sure y'all are very excited to be having a little princess:! I'm so happy that y'all were able to do that together before he gets deployed. :goodvibes

BBB is in your future!

Have y'all told Everett that he's going to have a little sister? What did he think?

Congratulations on your GIRL! BBB isn't the only thing to save his pennies for..There's clothes, dolls, shoes, hair bows, clothes, sparkly things, and clothes. And lots more! Girls are so much fun to spoil!

Congrats on the little princess!! It's weird, ever since I found out you were expecting, I thought of your baby as a girl anyway. So nice that your DH was able to be part of that too before his deployment.

First of all. Love the picture of Everett in the jacket! Soooo adorable! Second of all...CONGRATULATIONS on your baby girl!! That is awesome your husband was with you to find out the news! I've always been in the "I'm going to wait until the baby is born to find out if we were having a boy or girl" group, but that is so great that you guys found out together before he left!!! What wonderful news!!!

Ahhh soo sweet that your DH was able to be there to find out that you guys are probably going to be adding a little princess to your family. Congrats!!! It's sooo much fun having a girl!! They are sooo much easier to shop for!!!

I'm here. It looks like I have some catching up to do. Right off the bat, I want to say congratulations. How awesome that you are having a girl!

GIRL! princess:

I am so glad you guys were able to do this together before he leaves. :lovestruc

Yay for a sweet little girl! :cutie: There is definitely a difference in raising boys and in raising girls. I am happy that I was able to experience both. :)

OMG! How adorable is Everett in that picture?!? I mean, seriously!!

Glad the sucker bribery worked! :thumbsup2 Definitely stock up on those!

Good luck to Everett with his swimming lessons! Reid had a few days that he just didn't want to do anything the coach told him. He's slowly getting the hang of it. He still has a lot to work on though.

Thank you the bribery did work well! ;)

Everett has been doing great with swimming lessons, he really loves the water. Now if only I can get him to close his mouth so he isn't swallowing half the pool! :rotfl2:

:lmao: Good idea to take the lollipops!

Could he be any cuter in that? :goodvibes

Thank you, I think he looks rather dapper in his little suit!

Oh my gosh... that is just PRECIOUS. Hooray for bribery!!! :rotfl:

Oh bribery, I see many uses in my future (potty training for one! )

Nothing wrong with bribery. I'm fully convinced that it has its place! ;)

I'm glad I'm not the only "bad mom" :lmao:

Love the jacket! There is nothing wrong with a little bribery every now and then!

We had a shoot at beach club.. not photpass but a private photographer.. i can send you a pm with the link to shutterfly if you would like to see and get some ideas for pics. Lmk.

Thanks for the link, I'm getting some great ideas! I think hiring a private photographer is a great idea, maybe we'll do that next trip! :thumbsup2

Thank goodness for lollipops! :lmao:

Everett looks very handsome in his jacket!

I think I might have actually lollypoped him out, now when I ask him if he wants one he says "no!". Well at least they worked when I needed them!

I'm glad the bribery worked! He is so cute in that jacket!!

Thank you!

Looking good! :thumbsup2

If a lollypop is all it takes, I'd say it is well worth the cost. :lmao:

I guess I should enjoy getting off easy while it lasts, I'm sure as he gets older bribery will involve more expensive toys. :rotfl:

We really did love Alexandria, Everett is still asking to go "home" which is just breaking my heart! :worried:

I think your city select is going to work great in the parks, we loved using our Vista. I might still bring the Vista if I can't find a one handed push umbrella. I need to get on that!

Yes, keeping his outfit clean is a big priority, I might not even get him dressed until we get to the beach club! Two year old boys can get dirty anytime, anywhere, so I'm not taking any chances! :rotfl2:

Hmm, I haven't really been considering Maclarens, because they have those closed wheels, so I couldn't lock them up. I would also be worried because they are everywhere at Disney, and can easily get mistaken. I've read lots of stories on this board of Mac's disappearing, because someone accidentally took another person's stroller. Maybe I'll take a look though!

Thanks for the clip, I hadn't seen it yet!

Oh bribery, I see many uses in my future (potty training for one! )

Bribery worked very well with Reid when it came to potty training. He took 2 days to potty train. I did the method where you switch them to regular underwear (except at night - then I used pull-ups). He had accidents the 1st two days & then he was trained. That method really works well! In conjunction with it though I bribed him with his favorite candy - M&M's. Every time he would go potty, he would get 1 M&M for doing "#1" & 2 M&M's for doing "#2". Within a few days, he even stopped asking about the M&M's & would just go potty. Good luck!
