A Practically Perfect Princess Palooza! (Completed 4/10!)

The new Dumbo looks really cool! I remember the ride cycle being really short before too (I thought it was only around 90 seconds long?) so maybe it's staying like that. Hopefully it gets a little longer though when there's two!

Mmmm Sleepy Hollow funnel cake is one of my favorite Disney treats!

Omg, I can't wait to see the new Dumbo! It's absolutely gorgeous! It would be nice if they made the ride longer when both are open.
Popcorn makes waiting easier!
I cry more at IllumiNations, but Wishes gets me too!

Oh my goodness, the day they had the soft-open for the new Dumbo, I was STALKING pictures of it all day. It's phenomenal! I'm in love. Can't wait till all of it is open and you can wait in the big top tent! Do you know when the rest of it will be open? Ahhh can't wait! Either way, I'm totally riding it this summer.

Omg... they play JB at Magic Kingdom? To be honest I would prefer NOT barfing the next time I go to Disney, and if I hear that song, it's likely that I won't be able to hold it in...

New Dumbo is SO cool! If this is a foreshadowing of what we can expect from new Fantasyland, then I might not be able to handle it! I didn't remember it being quite so short, but it has been a long time since I rode it!

Disney has really stepped it up a notch with the new Dumbo...job well done for sure!

Dumbo is entirely phenomenal! The Fantasyland expansion is opening in phases...some things will open at the end of 2012, with everything else opening the beginning of 2013!

LOL...yes, they totally play the Bieb at MK. I'm not a fan, but it was cute watching the kidlets do the dance moves!

Our practically perfect princess palooza was coming to an end, and it was bittersweet because we were jazzed and didn’t want it to be over, but it had been a long day; and in spite of our best efforts, we were winding down. We moved from our place on the bridge down to the hub and copped a squat on the sidewalk to wait for the shimmering, glimmering, spectacle that is the Electrical Parade. Jaime even lay down, using her backpack as a pillow. I took the opportunity to get a couple of photos of the Castle with my phone.

I like this one with its pinktastic glow!

Before too long, The Magic, the Memories, and You started; and we were transfixed. Those clever imagineers can do ANYthing! My camera batteries were kaput, but I got one blurry snap with my phone.

I was excited for the parade because I haven’t seen it in a while, and it’s one of my favorite things in all of Disney. I don’t have photos of my own; but thanks to the talented photographers of Flickr, I have a few to include here.

Cinderella made eye contact with Jaden and blew her a kiss, and Snow White came over and talked to her. Needless to say, she was thrilled!

We all agreed that Elliot is the coolest!

One of my goals for our October trip is to master my new DSLR camera (which stayed at home for the palooza) and take my own photos of the parade!

After the parade, Jaden yawned hugely and asked her daddy for a piggyback ride. Jaime said her feet were hurting, and Darrell admitted that he was beat, too. Even though the park was open for another half hour and we had all boasted earlier that we would be the last ones out, we threw in the towel and made our way to the monorail, where Jaden got a second wind and chattered non-stop for the duration of the ride, our walk through the quiet, sleeping Poly lobby, and to the car.

And then, like a balloon on its last whoosh of air, she was asleep before we were out of the parking lot, thus ending what truly was a practically perfect Disney day.

Plans are being made for an Epcot/Animal Kingdom weekend in May, and I hope I’ll be able to join in on the fun; but time (and knee rehab) will tell!
