We were fortunate enough to stay 5 nights at the Polynesian. Yes, it lived up to everything I had hoped it would be and more. I actually almost cried when we left. This review will not only be of the awesome restaurants at the Poly but others as well throughout DW. We were on the regular dining plan which was way too much food for us, but it was nice to order what every I wanted and not worry about the price. Also I know we came out way ahead with the dining plan so it was very much worth it in the end. After careful planning on allears.net I used the dining plan to it's full advantage.:thumbsup2

We arrived on Sunday went straight to the MK. We skipped lunch, except my DH and I shared a corndog and my inlaws had some popcorn, which we paid OOP for. Disney popcorn is so good it's not funny, and I don't even like corndogs and their's are heaven!!

Our first DDP experience was at the highly recommended Kona Cafe! I was so excited, we were seated right away and there were empty tables at 6:45 PM, which was suprising. The hostess showed us the display of desserts, that looked wonderful. At this point I was really hungry only having eaten a few bites of that delicious corndog earlier. Our server was very nice and brought us the bread and butter. It was awesome!! Both my DH and ordered the Terayaki Steak with Yukon gold mash potatos, and steamed broccoli cooked medium. My mother in law had a cup of chicken noodle soup, and my father in law had the Asian Noodles. Our steaks were wonderful and I could not get enough of the potatos. I forgot the get a picture of our steaks:confused3 For dessert my DH ordered the Kona Kona (mainly b/c I wanted to take a picture of it), and I had some sort of fruit dish with fondue and macaroons. The macarooms were as hard as a rock, not very good. The fruit was nice. Out of a scale from 1-10, I would rate the Kona Cafe an 8.

Next up Flametree BBQ (ooooh onion rings) and PT 50's

Thanks for the Kona Review! We have reservations there in 3 1/2 weeks. :cool1:I can't wait. I hope the macaroons improve. Were they coconut? Looking forward to Flametree review. That's on our list, too!

Next up for lunch the next day was a fav from last year Flametree BBQ. This time I tried the onion rings I had seen on here and they were great. I ordered the pull pork BBQ sandwhich, and my DH ordered the ribs and some fries for his DH. I love eating here and the view of EE is beautiful.

I had the keylime pie and DH ordered chocolate cake. The desserts were nothing great, but beat the brownie in the package.

Overall a great lunch and again a great value for the dining plan!

The PT 50's cafe by far exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was just unbelievable and our server played the part so well. When we arrived I stopped off at the lounge for a quick drink, they seated us very promptly for our 6:50 dinner ressie. The lounge was so cool, it was a living room from the 50's. The bartender told me she had worked there for 5 years, lucky girl what fun it would be to work at such a fun place. Here are some pictures of the lounge and me with my glow drink.

Our server had us set the table:lmao: and then we waited for a few minutes before we ordered strawberry shakes off the dining plan for our drinks. They were so creamy and good (diet, what diet tonight)! So our cousin waitress came back to take our order and she introduced us to other tables in the room and vice versa. What fun!

I ordered the pot roast, it was one of the best pot roast I had ever had! The recipe is on allears.net for the pot roast, but I doubt I can match Disney cooking. My DH ordered the fried chicken, which he said was excellent. My FIL who is not on the dining plan ordered the meatloaf and MIL had a ceaser salad. Our server brought extra straws for them to have some of the milkshakes, we didn't even ask as sharing is not permitted on the dining plan, but hey why waste a good milkshake.

Next, were the desserts. We were so stuffed, but had to make room for Dad's Brownie Sundae and the Bread Pudding. The sundae was soooo good, the bread pudding not so good.

We hated it right :lmao:

Overall I would give the PT 50's a 10 out of 10. Great service, superb food, and neat atmosphere. Here are a few more pics.

Ooooh...that food looks good at 50's Prime Time. We've not been in about ten years or so...I think it is time for a return visit. :)

Oh wow, you're making me hungry:lmao:That pot roast is my favourite dish in all of WDW, I cant explain it. my best friend did try to replicate it at home and she got it close but its not the same. glad you loved 50's prime time as much as i do. Great reviews and will look out for more:goodvibes

Great pics & reviews! I know just what you mean about wanting to cry when it is time to leave!

We ate at 50's the other night and had a blast! THe pot roast and fried chicken were fantastic and I dont like pot roast either!

I promise there is more to come, I am trying to upload with photobucket, because picturetrail restricts how many you can upload.

I hope you can see these pictures.

Our lunch at Biergarten was one we had been looking forward to for months. My DH is an Air Force pilot and travels to Germany almost monthly, and has said this buffet is better than any of the German food in Germany! We ate here last year for lunch and it was a must for this trip. We didn't wait long for our 12:45 ressie to be seated and had a good view of the show which started at 1:15. We didn't see it last year so I made sure we did this time. I had salad, schintzel, sausage, potato salad (Sooo good), veggies, and pretzel bread. There were some other items I had but could not remember the names. I also ordered a beer flight, as German beer is quite good. However I learned that wheat beer is yucky!! I gave it to my FIL who will consume just about anything! Here are so photos from Biergarten.

IMO Biergarten is fantatatic, and it is food you can't really find around the corner from your house. The atomosphere really feels like you are at a real Octoberfest and the entertainment is really fun. I give Biergarten a 10 out of 10!

Thanks for doing your reviews! We have Biergarten booked for our next trip and I was worried at first but the more pics I see the hungrier I get. Do you know how often they do the show? Is it at regular intervals throughout the day or just a couple times a day?

They show throughout the day with the first one at lunch at 1:15. I used google to find out their schedule, but can't remember all of the times.

For dinner that night my DH and tried Cookes of Dublin. We both had the fried scalops and chips. OMG, it was good, cooked to perfection not to greasy either. The chips were some of the best I had every had and I like to venture over to England when I can. This one a real surprise for us. I didn't take any pictures, but I highly recommend if you are in the DT area!

I would rate Cookes of Dublin a 10 out 10.

Please note just like a real fish and chip shop there is not a lot of seating.

Next up Cosmic Rays and Chefs De France!
