A Plan for DCA?

I have to admit that even though we visit DLR 1 -2 times a year, we have not really spent too much time in DCA.

Thos year we will be at DLR Oct. 21 - 25 celebrating DS7's birthday just the two of us. We have tickets for MHP on the Friday night and plan to spend opening (9:30) till about 1:30 pm that day at DCA. The rides he won't go on are Screamin', TOT and GRR.

What do you suggest for a plan? And where would you eat lunch? I am thinking of eating breakfast earlier at Storytellers. We can enter through that entrance because we will be staying at the DH.

Any suggestions would be helpful. :)

There is SO much to do for a 7 year old! There is Toy Story Mania. The redwood creek challenge area (I haven't been, my kids were a bit young for it, but I bet it would be perfect for your son). Mulholland Madness. Silly Swings. Monsters. There is lots to do over there!!! Have fun!

Maybe you should go on a different day so you can see WoC.

If you are really skipping those rides. I would grab a Soarin FP and then go strait to TSMM.

GRR is not very intense the worst thing would be if you really get wet.

Aladdin and the animation academy aren't to be missed. My daughter loves turtle talk. For that matter, so do I!

Our plan is usually to grab FP's for soarin and head for rope drop on the redwood creek challenge side to be among the first in line for TSMM. Then we usually ride the funwheel (swinging bucket side) and the swings. We head to the tortilla factory to pick up a snack and stop by the baby center to refill water bottles. Then we head for the backlot area where we might do Monsters, see Aladdin, or some of the animation academy shows.

I like the wine country trattoria for lunch. Sometimes we exit to DTD for lunch at Uva or Ralph Brennans.

I think our plan will be to pick up FP for Soarin' then head over to TSMM. That would probably be a good time to do the funwheel and the swings after. I guess by then we could do Soarin'. We haven't done Turtle Talk or Monsters in awhile. What time do you think it will be by then? We would probably get lunch and then go back to the room for a manditory nap. My plan is to be well rested so we will last till midnight at the MHP!
Unfortunately, I still don't know if Aladdin will be playing because I haven't seen it listed on the entertainment schedule.
DS7 does not like many of the "mtn" rides or ones with drops. Wierdly though, he loves the Matterhorn!
