:flower3: Hi everyone!

Just wanted to introduce myself & my very first (& hopefully last haha :rotfl2:) planning journal! :woohoo:

I welcome you all to read, offer suggestions, comment, critique, pop in anytime you want.

I've been a lurker for a while and I've enjoyed reading your PJ's & TR's & I gotta say, I saw some exquisite weddings from you guys!! I only hope that mine will be just as magical as yours! :wizard:

The PJ might be slow or sporadic as our wedding is still at least 2 years away, but I am a huge fan of planning anything WDW related so I might be using it more often than I think!

I should start off by saying I know very little about wedding planning at all-I've been to three weddings in my whole life (was a BM in just one of those). WDW I know about, but weddings not so much, so please forgive my naivety! I am going to have lots of questions!

I will write some background info later. Just wanted to say hello & get my PJ underway!

Thanks everyone & I look forward to hearing from you!! :wizard: princess:

:flower3: Ok, couldn't wait to get started!!

Due to a 2010/2011 planned date, we are really just in the early phases of planning. That said, I've already gathered a ton of ideas and info already just from reading & listening to you guys!

We are waiting for at least 2 years for reasons of finances & lifes events. We are currently in the process of moving to the countryside & all the stressors & finances that go along with that. Finding jobs for DF & I in the area, finishing up our current jobs, finding a place to live out there, and getting $$ together for move-in (we'll be renting). Once we are relocated & settled, we can start saving up.....I should admit though that we are still planning our annual WDW trip for next January. We didn't want to break tradition!! :scared1: We also figured we'd get some good wedding planning idea when we go out there. I know that it is much more practical to skip the trip & use the $$ towards the wedding, but well...I want to be able to do both!! We are going to be downsizing alot on that trip & the downgrading is helping s justify keeping our annual trip!

Glad to see you started a PJ. I remeber how exciting I was when I started mine. Only a couple months ago but feels like forever ago. Looking forward to reading more of your plans!

:flower3:Ok, I've started getting random bits and pieces of things on my list I'll need to start planning for.

Hair & make up: looking into Patricia Lejeune (Thanks Lurkyloo!! :goodvibes )
Venue: Sea Breeze Point (Wishes ceremony)

Dress: NOT A CLUE TO EVEN WHERE TO BEGIN!?! :confused3 I've seen at least 3 dresses on this board that I've fallen in love with, other than that-no clue:confused3
Shoes: Flip flops with Swarkovski crystals
-Did I mention I'm a little hippie girl? :hippie: My mom and I are already arguing over the shoes that I will not be wearing till 2010 :sad2: My day=comfy shoes and that's all there is to say about that! I would prefer to go barefoot, but I'm not sure thats allowed.

Wedding colors: Some sort of pink and white. I'm not sure what shade of pink so I'll have to research that. I'm thinking about maybe white with a paler pink with a vibrant coral type color.

Resorts: Wilderness Lodge lake view for day before, day of, & day after the ceremony. Switch to POR for the rest of the trip.

ADR's: Got my top three for the first 3 days of our trip, just can't decide when to go where.

The night before the wedding with everyone (all 1-18 of us!): We all deciding between California Grill during Wishes or the 1900 Park Faire character meal with Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters, Cinderella, & Prince Charming.

California Grill would be a nice place to chill out and relax with sushi & the Wishes viewing sounds like such a romantic thing to do the night before your wedding.....but....

I am a huge fan of Lady Tremaine & the stepsisters-they are hilarious!! Given their attitudes and repartee, they might be really silly with us. This would DEFINATELY help reduce the stress of the upcoming day.

DF is ok with either and I'm leaning towards 1900 Park Faire for the stress reduction factor. I've heard the food isn't the best here, but I'm not worried about that.

After ceremony lunch (for everyone): Garden View Tea room at GF

Night of the wedding (just me & DF): We were going to do either Artist's Point or France in Epcot. We were also thinking about being in Epcot for Illuminations (our favorite park fireworks) but I'm honestly wondering if we just want to do room service! After a day of waking up super early for the MK photo shoot, getting married, luncheon, entertaining 16 people, plus I'm determined to ride Soarin' that day! Realistically, we might be passed out by 4pm!

I have no clue about the flowers. My favorite flowers are daffodils, daisies, tuberoses, and freesia but I'm not quite sure those are bouquet appropriate-? :confused3

Ughh so much to think about!!

:confused3

Great start, for someone who says she doesn't know anything about weddings! ;)

Regarding flowers, you should have any kind of flowers you want in your bouquet - who cares if they're not traditional wedding flowers! Daffodils, daisies, tuberose and freesia all sound great!

Also, I highly recommend room service dinner on the wedding night. I stole the idea from JandJ's trip report, and it was so nice to just have a quiet meal together - especially after as busy a day as you're going to have. :goodvibes

...well, half of that is WDW vacation planning, which I am a whiz at!!

I love flowers (used to work at a flower shop). but we are having an Escape package, and I was under the impression that you are limited in flower choices-is this correct??

Yes, I"m definately leaning towards the room service idea. I wonder if DDE is honored with room service-? Also, if we are able to make it through Illuminations, would room service still be open by the time we get back? We'll be staying at the WL that night.....hey, I wonder if the wedding limo would meet us at Epcot or the BW after Illuminations & drive us back to the WL!

I would love:lovestruc to have an Illuminations cruise, but we won't be able to afford it :guilty: Oh well, as DF says "it's just a reason to go back and do it next time!"

We are still trying to decide between two dates: first week of December or first week of January. DF is happy with both he says, as long as it's not too crowded. I love the holiday decorations, so I"m leaning towards December, but.....and I know this sounds silly but I don't know if I want my anniversary to be during the first week in December. It's right after Thanksgiving, a few weeks before Christmas, I feel like our anniversary will forever be stuck in the middle of chaos and overlooked! Am I over worrying here??? DF said I had a good point. First week in January might be better because the holidays have died down. Are the holiday decorations still up at the beginning of January? :confused3

Wow, what an interesting wedding-we've got a atheist/jewish wedding with Christmas decorations in the background! :rotfl:

Looks like you have a great start! You have more decided than I do. I LOVE tuberose! It reminds me of the Honolulu International Airport. My BDay is two weeks after christmas and I love it. It makes the holiday season just a bit longer for me! So an anniversary that time of year would do the same thing!

Had a bit of a trying time today trying to make a list of jewish wedding rituals I might not be able to have and how I can modify them.....& not to mention, criticized by a rabbi for wanting to have my wedding at WDW! :scared1:

I found the design we are going to use for the artwork on our ketubah from a website called judaicconnection.com (Thanks Sarah!! :) )

Isn't it pretty?

Ketubah price (interfaith option with personalization & shipping): $265

I definately want my favorite quote "I am my beloved & my beloved is mine" written in hebrew. Now I looked at the interfaith option (where the english is written in very small letters) and it actually doesnt even look like it mentions God! I'm so glad for this (unless I missed something when I read it), because I could never ask him to sign a contract where he is making a promise to God.

Ok, looks like the Ketubah is pretty much decided on-yay!!

You know, my mom told me that this is going to be impossible to be able to have a "jew-ish" wedding (got that term "jew-ish" from a previous poster and I like it!), but I think this can be done!! I think we'll need to find a rabbi who will talk to us about this.:yay:

Cake: Just adding in that we decided on our cake flavor-marble cake with whipped cream and fresh strawberries in the middle! :cloud9:

Feel free to critique if you've tasted this!

We picked this from a list of flavors we found. I wish we could see a photo of what the Escape cakes look like.

I love:lovestruc the Mickey & Minnie cake topper that it comes with!

Songs:: We also decided that we want the "Beauty & the Beast" song played by the violinists after the "I Do's" to kind of sum up the whole ceremony at the end. We are just going to have Pachabel's Canon for the rest I guess....unless, is the bride walk supposed to be a separate song??:confused3 & do the violinists play before the ceremony begins for an Escape ceremony?

We are opting for the IPOD during the cake stuff. :thumbsup2 Still undecided about the first dance....
