A Pirate and a Princess Go to the World......Updated Ch. 12/pics/COMPLETE

love it love it! I had friends that just came back and went to the P&P party and echoed your love of the fireworks! They sounded like they were UNreal!
Tell me this...are you planning on doing a TR of your honeymoon trip to DL!??? Please say yes!! :)

Jay: Why did you have to get off the stupid bus, we would have been in our hotel room for ten minutes by now
Me: Promise you won't let a gator eat me
Jay:You never do anything I say, you had to jump off that bus, and now WHO KNOWS when we'll be back, and pretty soon you'll be saying, Jayyyy, carry me and NO! I won't do it!
Me: Jay are you surrrrre there's no gators?
Jay:And I could be drinking water right now, but noooo I'm walking across this darn river and all you can say is........what? what do you mean gators? what gators?

Jay then had a freak out discussing how if we die from alligators it's all my fault because I wanted to walk. Silly man. EVENTUALLY we made it to our room

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Now for those of you who don't know, I absolutely despise when our room hasn't been cleaned. When we saw that the room next door was being cleaned and ours wasn't cleaned yet Jay gave me the most menacing look I've even been given. But honestly honey, we need a clean room.

You have my total support on this one.

We had made our reservations for dinner at the Polynesian, one of our favorite resorts which one day we are determined to stay at. We had been wanting to try Kona for quite some time and were very excited.

Anywhoo it was time for dinner and we were seated at a lovely table. I loved the decor of the restaurant which was a pleasant surprise. I've read countless reviews bashing it and I absolutely adored it!

I have only eaten at Kona for breakfast which I loved, the dinner selection soundsvery good also. Kona for dinner is on the list for the next trip

It was time to get ready for the parade and I was so psyched. I am the epitome of a fireworks and parade person. In fact I just turned my whole honeymoon planning upside down because I found out we were going to miss the fireworks over at Disneyland!

I think you will be very impressed by them, I rate them a little bit better then Wishes at Magic Kingdom

We were able to get amazing seats right by the park entrance. Before it started Jay and I had a wonderful conversation and with all the lighting in the park it was very romantic

Hey knock off the mushy stuff, your there to have fun…wait…never mind:lmao:

Unfortunately it was no use, I was having BIG asthma issues. We had to leave and pronto. I had a pretty bad attack on the bus on the way back but thankfully I had my inhaler so all was well in the world

Sorry your evening was cut short, loved the updates and all the pictures

Great report
love all the photos
Thanks for sharing

Oh I am sorry you had an asthma attack and had to leave the party early :worried: You must have been so upset!

Sneaking the rum into the party :rotfl: I love it!

I am enjoying your TR, cannot wait to hear more :goodvibes

It IS a long walk from POFQ to Riverside! They seem so close together, but NOPE!

Loved your Pirate & Princess party report! I would love to do that someday, since I'm a big fan of both pirates and princesses!

Asthma SUCKS, doesn't it? I haven't had any problems with it in YEARS until 2 weeks ago, but now I'm back to Fun With Inhalers!

I always find the best trip reports long after they've begun. Great report!! You guys had the exact same meals at Kona that my dh and I had. They were so good. So sorry you had to leave the party that bites.

The fireworks were so incredible, I've seen the one's from the Christmas Party also and these just blow them out of the water. As for the honeymoon I will be doing a trip report but I'm debating on how I'm going to do it still as we're going several places, not just Disneyland. I'm either going to do a short one just of our Disney experiences or go all out and go through the entire journey :cutie:

Thanks for your sympathy, it was definitely upsetting but I'm just happy I made it through the parade and fireworks which were the main thing I was excited for. Also I just noticed you're having a Disney Wedding!!!! That's so exciting, start a pre-trip report already!

Yes, it definitely was a very long walk! We learned that lesson fast. You would love the party, it's so much fun. And yes, asthma definitely isn't fun. Sorry to hear that it's re-occuring on you :sad1:

Thanks for reading! I always do the same thing, I just started trying to catch up on WDWPolyPrincess's epic! :rotfl2: Kona was amazing, how funny we must have the exact same tastes!

We fell asleep with visions of fairies, princesses and fairy god mothers in our heads....:cloud9: well, I did...for Jeremy it was more the life of a Pirate, yarrrrrr pirate:

This time when the alarm went off at 7am we both scrambled to hit it off, and when Mickey and Stitch's friendly wake up call came through we promptly gave them the heave ho hang up. There would be no magical morning for us, this time!

Finally around 9:30 I dragged myself into the shower and by the time I got out Jay was ready to begin the day as well.

I dragged myself to the mirror and starred back in horror...uh oh, I had the hang over face. Something about filling a coke bottle with rum was creeping back into my memory. I had the look...you girls all know the look. The one where you look about ten years older then you actually are, where your eyes can only squint open, and your skin is all dryed out. I immediately got to work, I had some major makeup and hair straightening to do.

Good thing when I got outside it was raining and the most humid day I've ever experienced in all of my life.

As you can see, this was going to be a VERY good hair day

We made our way over to the bus stop and were headed over to EPCOT since we really hadn't accomplished anything other than getting a Margarita at the park.

When we finally got to EPCOT we invested in some breakfast, more muffins and croissants, yummm, and made our way over to Test Track. What a great ride! We both adore it and could have easily rode it throughout the entire day but instead we decided to go on Ellen's Universe of Energy.

P2020354.jpg

BIG MISTAKE! I've never been more bored at Disney in my life. Never, never again. Tres terrible!!!! And 45 minutes long! Ugh!!!

We decided after embarking on such a long and utterly mind erasing journey (this attraction was paid for by Exxon and they promote the use of oil as the main energy resource throughout the length of the attraction) to go have some fun so we headed over to Figment. I find this ride so charming...it really is just fun and cute and I hope they never do away with it.

We had a ADR at Garden Grill so we made our way over to the land. We love this restaurant and were looking foward to our lunch! We still had some time though so we grabbed FP's for Soarin, and went to see the Circle of Life video.

I lovvvvve this video. I think it's so insightful. I also find it amusing that about 95% of the footage with pollution is taken about 10 minutes from our lovely home in NJ. We both recognize almost every place and can yell things like, "Elizabeth", "Jersey City", "Rahway" (various cities)...it's a bit scary but living so close to areas like these make this such an important video for me and Jeremy to catch every time to remind us the importance of the environment.

It was time for lunch so we made our way over and I ordered a rasberry daiquiri (yumm) that didn't make it to our table for about 20 minutes. We had a fun time with the characters as they always really get into it. Jeremy told chip he could have his green beans and chip fed them to Jeremy. I have it on video but can't figure out how to put it on the site, so you'll just have to take my word that it was very amusing.

After reprimanding my hubby he decided he was in fact a better candidate for me for marriage...sorry honey.

The food as always was outstanding. The bread with the sweet butter was to die for. I never eat carbohydrates at home and I was absolutey relishing this moment. The bread, the butter.....I must have had a dreamy look in my eye because Jeremy poked me..."you okay" Yes...yes, I was

P2020359.jpg

The main course was delicious as well. I LOVE the fish and the steak with the mushroom sauce is also great. Oh to be eating there now (as I angrily bite into a carrot stick).

P2020376.jpg

And the best part, my little piece of heaven. I have now found my new religion. I have named it, breadpuddinganea. I vow to woship you, bread pudding, each day and each night from now till the hour of my death.

P2020383.jpg

Can you tell I've been dieting for the wedding?

Anywhoo. After lunch we were sufficientely stuffed and just couldn't imagine doing world showcase. We decided to go over to the Magic Kingdom for some fun.

When we arrived a nice couple came over to us and asked if it was just the two of us. We said yes and the kind couple gave us a pair of dream fastpasses they had won. They explained they weren't really roller coaster people and that they wanted to pass on the magic. Score!!!

P2020386.jpg

While they had done some of the rides on the pass already we still had plenty to do for ourselves.

We knew we could now take our time through the park, take things at a leisure pace. There would be no line waiting for us...uh uh, we were part of the dream takers pixiedust:

As we made our way up to the castle The Dream Along with Mickey show was starting. Jeremy looked at me

Jay: Come on Kate, this is a stupid show! Absolutely not
Me: :::bites bottom lip while making eyes super big and pouting:::: plllllllllleasssssssse

5 seconds later

P2020388.jpg

The show actually ended up being really cute. The last time we were at Disney we only stayed for the first two or three minutes but this time we watched the duration and it was actually pretty neat. We didn't realize there were other characters in the show aside from the main bunch so we were pleasently suprised to see Peter Pan and the gang, and even Maleficient.

We rode Thunder and Space Mountain but were really too tired to stay at the parks any longer so decided to go back to the hotel for a bit of rest. It was a dreary day and was causing the need for sleep to escalate.

When we made it back to the resort we perused the gift shop for a little.

Captain Jeremy at your service

Finally we collapsed in the room and watched tv. There was this really interesting movie on Lifetime (men hold all snickers) that we really both enjoyed. Okay, that I really enjoyed.

Up Next: Le Cellier and our adventures at the Adventurer's Club and the Comedy Club

Your disneymoon sounds wonderful! We're going to stay at the Shilo Inn because it looks nice and is relatively inexpensive compared to the other hotels. Let me know if you know anything about it. Otherwise we like things like museums, and the outdoors.
Shilo is good for the price. The location is excellent, though -- right in the middle of downtown. I will make you a list of possible things to do. I am assuming you will have a car? Then you should definitely take the 20-minute drive to Park City - tons of outdoorsy stuff there.

Another fun episode! Thanks for the smiles. I used to think the very name bread pudding was utterly revolting. Somehow, the two words don't seem to belong together. But when made well, especially with the creamy sauce on top, bread pudding is far from revolting. In fact it's very GOOD! :thumbsup2

Hi darling! So i just caught up on your trip report! Its wonderful BTW. Dream Fastpasses! I am absolutely SO jealous of you! Todd and I were on a mission during our trip to get some. Every CM we passed we gave these insanely maniacal smiles to. Needless to say, No dream fastpasses for us!
