A.P. Purchase Location Question

This trip we decided to shift our DLR funds to DGCs. We'll also be buying Premium APs (downgrading from our former Premiers), but didn't think to purchase online--we were planning to just go to the ticket booths on arrival, after check-in. You can't purchase APs online with DGCs. My question: is it possible to purchase APs at check-in?

We're staying on-site at GCH. I know they can't give us our permanent AP media, but I also know you can buy day tickets at the Disney hotels. Can you also buy APs at the hotels--i.e. they give you the e-ticket form that you later take to the ticket booths? (Allowing us to go right into DL prior to getting our permanent media?) Or do we still need to just go to the ticket booth after hotel check-in?

I know you can upgrade hoppers to APs at the DLR hotels, so yes, this should be possible. We were going to do this at the DLH in April but instead waited to do it at the ticket booth. I did it at the booth because I figured it was more likely to get done right (and quicker).

There used to be an AP Processing Center on Main Street but I'm pretty sure that it doesn't exist anymore. Can anyone confirm? I'm not aware of anywhere to upgrade inside the park.

The processing center is long gone since AP technology improved, and since AP cards no longer carry photos.

The ticket booths. If staying onsite, you can purchase them at the hotel. At the DLH, just to the right of the check in counter is a Guest Services desk. You can also purchase at the front desk when you check in. At the GCH, you can purchase at check in , and I believe you can also purchase at the Guest Service counter on the far left side of check in. I'm not sure about Paradise Pier Hotel.

Guest Services at PPH is across the main lobby from the hotel check in desk (just to the right when you come in the main doors.).

Thanks everyone! We want to use our park hoppers for early entry on our second day in the park. So we don't want to upgrade before that. But we have late Minnie and Friends breakfast the same morning so I want to do it before that. Last time I had AP's the processing center was by Space Mountain. That was a long time ago.
