I wanted to share that not all National EA locations use the "they will fill your tank at local prices" program. I found this out the hard way in Phoenix when I returned our car. I was short 5 gallons and told DH no problem because as EA members National would top off the tank at local prices. WRONG!
There is a small asterisk at the bottom of the program description that says at participating locations....Phoenix isn't one of them!
I sent National an Email telling them I felt they misrepresent the program by making it sound as if all EA locations will do the gas at local prices if you are a EA member...I then asked them why they don't print a list of which locations participate so you know ahead of time...they have a list for what locations have EA how much more would it be to include which of those locations also offer the local price gas program.
National wrote back saying "sorry for the inconvenience but it's only at certain locations" They also said they would forward my request to the 'powers that be' for a clearer program description.
So, until National decides to make it clearer....don't assume that because you are an EA member the local gas price program is in effect everywhere.
Please check where you rent your car before you return it to avoid this problem.
I learned a $4.09 a gallon lesson that I hope others can now avoid!
On the positive side, other then the gas problem EA was great to use! And I went to Disneyland for the very first time.
