A No Snooze Bar Christmas, Harry & Mickey are Waiting..it is done

Thanks...it was a nice time after spending a week in Nashville with record heat it was nice to get into the cool mountain air!
It has been a tad warm hasn't it.

Never late...I still have 5 more days to go! I am determined to get this TR done my the end of September so I can start a countdown to my next trip!
Yea! Another trip! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Yeah like me going on a trip with 7 people I have never met in person...

Another thing to add to our list...actually I can do without Electric Light...

It's weird trying to pull quotes out of quotes.... haha

But yes like going on a trip with people you've never actually met. But I think we know more about each other than a lot of people that we are around all the time at home!

And Ashley agreed about the parades. She things her.... 2004 ( I think that was the year she said) was the last trip she watched parades on!

I have not read every update yet, but wanted to say how much I LOVE your reveal!!! Especially the boxes all wrapped up in one another. We are going the week of DD's 5th birthday, so I might do something similar, but tell her it's an early birthday present and wrap each box in different Disney paper. I can't wait to read the rest!!

I am soooo looking forward to walking from BW to HS, that will be so nice.

5 min and 20 min standby lines for TSM...oh my goodness!!!

We will be there in Dec, so I am hoping we dont have to break out the multiple layers of clothing to stay warm ;)

Did a scrapbook page for a challenge today on mousescrappers...

I still haven't ridden TSM. :( It looks COLD!!!!! No overheating from the crazy running between rides. :lmao:

This was the coldest day of our trip...it never reached the 50s on this day. So need to ride TSM...it is so much fun if you like a little friendly sporting action!

Yea! Another trip! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Yep, one with a group of DISers in the works for Fall 2013! I promised to drag my TR out until our ticker reads 1 year...and I think I am going to make it...:rotfl2:

One of my more crazy thoughts and plans...I have to agree that you OCDers probably know me better than most people I see on a daily basis...have shared TMI with you!

Another thing to add to our list...actually I can do without Electric Light...

But you do it so well!

Thanks...I worked on the reveal for over a year, revising plans and then when our flight ended up being early...well I had to come up with a way to get us out of the house without knowing our final destination! I think the surprise reveal was 99% of the fun! Plan to do another surprise again....someday!

So glad to have you along!

I am soooo looking forward to walking from BW to HS, that will be so nice.

We LOVED the BW...wait til you see what happens when we have to leave!

5 min and 20 min standby lines for TSM...oh my goodness!!!

Pretty cool....huh!

We will be there in Dec, so I am hoping we dont have to break out the multiple layers of clothing to stay warm ;)

I think December is hit or miss with the weather. This day was the coldest, remember layers are the best and under armor helps with the cold factor! Sending you good vibes for warm weather!

:lmao: Hehe I forgot we had to drag all our TR's out till then... I might make that cut off as slow as mine is going!!! Ann and Amy are finished, I think Susan, Betsy, and Heather gave up on theirs, yours is trucking along... and mine is crawling!

One of my more crazy thoughts and plans...I have to agree that you OCDers probably know me better than most people I see on a daily basis...have shared TMI with you!

Oh I'm not complaining. I'm super stoked about this trip. Rolled a ton of coins last night. (Remember I told y'all most of my budget is coming out of my tax return) I have 122.00 in rolled coins right now... So almost enough with just coins when we get to our booking window for rooms!

It's weird trying to pull quotes out of quotes.... haha
But you do it so well!

I'll tell you a secret ;) You can't re quote them. I have to copy and past them and then re color your red and mine teal!

super cool (no pun intended) that you got to TSM twice at the start of the morning. We never got to that because of wait times and the not staying near enough for rope drop!

Another lay out and a little foreshadowing of what is to come...

Lightsaber.jpg

How nice that you had DHS for yourself even with the park opening earlier. Very cool that you got through the line quickly. Were you able to stop for a bit at Mr. Potato head?

Love the scrapbook pages!

Terror of Chocolate

After leaving TSM, our next stop on the touring plan was ToT, a ride I knew that Jeff could handle and love (no spinning).

1totstreet.jpg

The entire way I worked on Goo and making sure that we would get him on the ride (I so did not want to do the “too cool for the ride” option with him). I reminded him that his favorite cousins loved this ride and that he could do it…who would have figured my dare devil would all the sudden become not so much of a dare devil as we waited for our elevator up.

1insidetot.jpg

When the doors finally opened for us to board, Goo about lost it but being the good momma that I am forced him through the doors before he could baulk and before he knew it he was buckled in between dad and mom.

1waitingfortot.jpg

Unfortunately for us (and most of the other riders), there was a group of 20 something’s seated directly behind us who decided that they needed to up the fear factor of my young son with their screaming and hysterics

1totpicture.jpg

(love the red neck picture of me trying to give them the teacher evil eye while dropping). Goo managed the ride, but after it was all over let us know that he would be bigger before he rode again. Back out in the cold again, we decide that we could all do with a little something warm to drink and a midmorning snack after picking up Fast Passes for later on the RNRC. So while Ab and I sought out Starring Rolls, the boys decided to check out the cars on Hollywood & Vine.

1car.jpg

I had been dreaming of the moment of when I could peer into

1starringrollddisplay.jpg

and have my own carrot cake or red velvet cupcake, but sadly I was limited to 2 choices and ended up going with the Butterfinger.

1cupcake.jpg

We meet the boys with our warm drinks and goodies for a little snack break. So how was the Butterfinger,

1insidecupcake.jpg

well I was very disappointed…it was so sweet that even with 3 of us taking bites we ended up throwing most of it away. Goo on the other hand loved his cookie!

1gooandcookie.jpg

After our little snack break, Goo decided that it was time…

Wow, love the low crowds at HS. I think I would put up with a bit of cold weather to avoid long lines.

:cool1: for a couple of (relatively) quick rides on TSM.

Glad everyone rode ToT. My youngest son is usually good for one ride per trip, then he is all set.

It really stinks when you have people working your kids into hysterics with their behaviour. We encountered this on Haunted Mansion. For a long time, Ben didn't like the stretching room because of the screaming guests. We found if we asked, the CMs would let us skip it, but now Ben is too old to need to do that.

Brrr!! We were there just a few weeks before you and were sweating in the TSMM line. Crazy weather!! Glad you got Goo on ToT at least once. My brother and I rode it and I was having trouble getting my seatbelt to fasten. I kept yelling "I'm not buckled, I'm not buckled!", like I thought they would start the ride. I know they check the belts on every ride, but for some reason I was not trusting that elevator operator. So now "I'm not buckled" gets yelled whenever I do something dumb. :rotfl: That Butterfinger cupcake is on my list of snacks for this trip. Sorry you were disappointed in it. I have a pretty big sweet tooth so I bet I will enjoy it.

You shouldn't have thrown away the cupcake... Unless you knew you were definately not going to finish it... When I went to starring rolls I ate half the cupcake and couldn't eat any more because it was so sweet so they gave me a carry out box

I can't believe the temp dropped out on you guys!

I was worried about that time of year, especially after reading about my friend's trip last year and how cold it was.

I packed for that kind of cold and ended up washing clothes throughout my trip because it was so warm.

Then again, we went in April 2009 and the temp bottomed out to 38* one night.

Only in Florida!

Here is my morning (and late afternoon project):

TR Chapters:
We Really Are at Disney World

Love, love, love the scrap book page.

Goo was so brave to try ToT! I love that attraction!! The drop and rise are nice and smooth. Over the years I learned to inhale when I get "that feeling" on rollercoasters or drops. Works much better for me than screaming. Might work for him next time he's on a ride with a drop.

The butterfinger cupcakes looks so yummy. I've always said no sweet has every been too sweet for me. If I could eat chocolate, I'd give that a go. Only once have I met a dessert that I wasn't able to gobble right down, that was recently. It was a vanilla, caramel crunch pie with caramel drizzled over it. It took me 3 sittings to finish it, it was delicious but very rich and filling.

Here is another lay out for today...I really should be doing something other than sit at a computer, oh well it keeps me from snacking all day!!!

TR Chapter:
Christmas Eve Morning/Breakfast & a Movie: Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas

Wow, love the low crowds at HS. I think I would put up with a bit of cold weather to avoid long lines.

The lines got pretty long as the day wore on...but the cold, well it stayed cold!

:cool1: for a couple of (relatively) quick rides on TSM.

Kids will be kids...I have done the same thing, but it sure does not help a momma out!

How funny...I get paranoid sometimes like that too.

That Butterfinger cupcake is on my list of snacks for this trip. Sorry you were disappointed in it. I have a pretty big sweet tooth so I bet I will enjoy it.

I thought I had a big one too, but this was too much for me.

You shouldn't have thrown away the cupcake... Unless you knew you were definately not going to finish it... When I went to starring rolls I ate half the cupcake and couldn't eat any more because it was so sweet so they gave me a carry out box

We ate the cake part, but threw away most of the mound of icing...I am not an icing person anyway. What I would not give right now for one of those peppermint cupcakes from BW Bakery...

I can't believe the temp dropped out on you guys!

Dropped right out of the bucket...it was a miserable day, just wait until we get to later in the night!

I was worried about that time of year, especially after reading about my friend's trip last year and how cold it was.

I packed for that kind of cold and ended up washing clothes throughout my trip because it was so warm.

I packed a mixture of things, and mostly layers...did not help this day!

Then again, we went in April 2009 and the temp bottomed out to 38* one night.

There were freeze warnings this night!

Only in Florida!
:rotfl:

Love, love, love the scrap book page.

Thanks, thanks, thanks...I am loving doing them! Although Jeff is thinking I am spending way too much time on the computer (even though it sits off the kitchen between the living room and kitchen)...so we are technically together! I want to go back to the Star Wars one and use the Star Wars font I found!

Goo was so brave to try ToT! I love that attraction!! The drop and rise are nice and smooth. Over the years I learned to inhale when I get "that feeling" on rollercoasters or drops. Works much better for me than screaming. Might work for him next time he's on a ride with a drop.

This is probably my favorite ride...

vanilla caramel crunch pie...my mouth is watering!

Boy Meets Hero

With a little snack in his tummy, Goo decides that it is time to meet his hero and we all agree so we make our way across the park to the Streets of America (stopping to collect a fast pass for Star Tours after lunch) all the time you can feel the excitement building until we are about to turn the last corner and I stop. I ask Goo if he is ready, and of course he can hardly contain himself. We round the last corner and right before his eyes this hero comes to life…yep, none other than Lightning McQueen himself. Goo considers himself Lightning McQueen’s #1 Fan and I have to agree. For the last 4 birthdays, the theme has been CARS by his choice and this was the first Disney character product that I can remember really buying and allowing one of my children to wear (no flames, I was just not a character kind of mom….I have since changed). We get in line and Goo is all smiles as he tries to wait patiently for his turn (all decked out in his Lightning attire). Finally, the moment comes where he can touch McQueen…thank goodness I don’t trust the photopass photographers to all the memory capturing because somehow they the pictures they took never ended up on my CD (yes, I even sent in for a search but never found). I loved the look in Goo’s eyes as he stood next to Lightning.

2myboys.jpg

Afterwards we had to smash a bunch of pennies as a souviner of the visit.

3pennysmashing.jpg

Goo was a little disappointed, he wanted to know why Lightning would not talk to him (hmm, how did I answer that one…Lightning was too excited to finally meet him and was probably trying to get in the “zone” with his stunt show coming up soon). After our visit with Lightning and Mater, our next stop was Back Lot Tours, but in order to get there we had to walk down the Streets of America where my anticipation for tonight’s show dazzled above me

9anticpation.jpg

and I found myself like Goo a few minutes prior, excited!

1boysandcoke.jpg

We all enjoyed the Back Lot Tour,

1mouseeartower.jpg

but the kids had more fun looking at all the props from some of their favorite movies. (Or maybe it was not the movie props, but the warmth of being in doors that kept their attention).

A stop in the gift shop always seems to happen, and Jeff found something he liked (until he looked at the price).

3dadandhat.jpg

Leaving the gift shop empty handed, we ended up running into these guys as we made our way to Lights, Motor, Action. Goo was not very impressed even when Mike tried to engage him…

1sullyandmike.jpg

Photo1082FourBySix.jpg

he was ready to see Lightning in action and that is where we headed (thanks mom for such a great touring plan).

1outsidesign.jpg

Before entering the stadium Goo noticed these tire tracks and concluded that Lightning and Mater must have been practicing “donuts.”

1tracks.jpg

1insidesign.jpg

The boys (and yes, the girls, too) loved the stunt show (give my boys anything to do with cars and they are all at attention)

2onfire.jpg

2cyclejump.jpg

and of course Lightning stole the show,

2lightningonscene.jpg

2lightningface.jpg

Wouldn’t it be just my luck that at the very moment that Lightning came on the set, my memory card would be full…thank goodness for Jeff’s cell phone taking pictures while I scrambled to get a new card put in my camera. Goo declared at the end that he wants his own remote control full sized car, but what mom wants is a little lunch…
