We are doing tons of character meals this trip, but I'd like to go out to dinner just one night for some really good adult friendly food.... but.... of course we will need to bring the little ones (ages 2 & 5) with us so it can't be anything too fancy either. We are on the dining plan, so being in the program is a must.

Any good ideas??? Thanks!!

That still leaves it wide open. :) Some of our favorites are Kona Cafe, Spoodles, and Boma, for adult food, no characters, not fancy, and I believe those are on the meal plan. I'm not completely familiar with it, though.

Any idea what kind of food? There's also Whispering Canyon, but that can get rowdy.

Spoodles is one of our favorites for good food and it has a great location being there on the Boardwalk. We took DS with us when he was not quite 2 and it was a good choice for him as well. :)

We are also going with our two daughters (2 & 5) . We decided to go to O'hana- the food looks great and it seems to get great reviews, but still seems like the kids will be able to enjoy it.

I would second ohanas for the entertainment factor to keep your kids busy while you enjoy your food, If they choose to participate you might have to help them or they can just observe the activities etc. its served family style, so no need to get up, like a buffet, also you might want to consider coral reef at the living seas at epcot. While you dine, the kids will be enthralled watching the fish tanks. Make sure to request a tankside table. Between the 3 ds looking at all the fish and atmosphere etc, we were able to enjoy the meal.

In addition to Ohana's, you might want to check into Whispering Canyon Cafe. Good for kids, especially the 5 year old, but still pretty adult friendly.

The Kona Cafe is a great place for an adult meal. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere, while nothing special, is more of an adult experience.
The other restaurant in the dining plan that offers a great adult meal is the Concourse Steakhouse, which is an undiscovered gem. (it's only downside is that it is next door to CM, and the noise sometimes carries over.)

I'll chime in with O'hana's. They have coconut races with brooms and hoola hoops for the kids, but the meal is very nice.

Thanks for all the suggestions!!! I'm having a hard time picking between them and will check out the menu's on all ears.

I think we ate at Spoodles last trip, we were trying for ESPN and had a long wait (didn't make many PS's that trip) and ended up eating outside somewhere else and I believe it was Spoodles.

Thanks for the all the great input!!!

I would say Le Cellier also. They have excellent food, and still kid friendly.

If you want an "adult friendly" atmosphere as well, I'd advocate for BOMA (although it requires filling the kids plates as well as yours)or CG or Artist Point or Le Cellier or one of the French restaurants in Epcot. The food is good at Kona, but the atmosphere feels like a coffee shop at the Hyatt anyplace. Whispering Canyon and 'Ohana both are loud and like a character meal without the characters--activities for kids and very noisy.
