A nice compliment today

I work in an office full of men. They notice absolutely nothing. I once had about 8 inches cut off my hair and it was three days before someone said I looked different . One of the guys said to me today, "hey, you're losing a lot of weight. Some of your clothes are hanging off you."


It made me feel so good.

Isn't it nice when guys notice things? Some of the guys I work with are starting to comment on my weight loss....but my DH is oblivious! He knows I'm losing weight but everytime I wear this one pair of denim shorts (which I've been wearing since July) he comments on my new shorts and when did I go shopping for new clothes? He does say they look good on me, but he's been told more than once that they are not new, they have been in a box in the attic.

What made this compliment special was that it came from someone I'm not friends with and who I wouldn't expect to notice. It made me feel, for the first time, that the weight really is coming off. DH says things all of the time, but that's because he knows it's expected. Otherwise, he'd be as oblivious as every other man.
