Hi again!

About how long does it usually take for room service to arrive? If you want something at a specific time, can you order it ahead of time?

Thanks again awesome cruisers!

It depends usually about 10 minutes but if it's after a port day it can get very busy.
I know you can request for breakfast to be delivered at a specific time I've never heard of it for other meals

It really depends on how busy they are. On our last cruise, I was always quoted "within the next 30 minutes" and it usually took about 15 minutes. Sometimes closer to 10 minutes. I think the longest wait was when we reboarded from CC. That time took about 20 minutes.

Like Weedy, I know breakfast can be ordered to be delivered at a specific time, but I haven't heard of them doing that for other meals.

Well, I know that you can pre-order & specify "chocolate chip cookies & milk at bedtime" as a standing order. So I would think you can specify a time.

I find them great when you order well in advance and specify a time. When I have just called to order something i have experienced anywhere from 10-40 min. Late night gets busy. Lots of Mickey bars and milk and cookies being ordered.

One cruise, my wife and I ordered the All Hands On Deck platter, and never heard them try to deliver. About and hour later, we called to check and they said they had knocked and no one answered. They re-ordered it for us and my wife sat on the edge of the bed listening for them. Again we heard nothing. We called to check and they said no one answered. Ordered a third time and flipped the deadbolt so that the door wouldn't close all the way. Got it in about 20 minutes. When we called the next day to order, they CM recognized us and laughed. They made us a family of the week and sent special treats each day for the rest of the cruise.

Wonder this summer: We did room service for breakfast one day, stuck the sheet on the door the night before, asked for it to be delivered between 6:30-7AM...it came around 6:30AM. We called room service around 11PM on the last night, came within 10 minutes! Simple order though--2 mickey bars and an All Hands on Deck.

What is the All hands on deck platter?

Thank you! I was thinking that it would be convenient to have a snack delivered while were getting ready for the evening. We have a second dinner seating and will be hungry between lunch and dinner. That All Hands on Deck platter looks pretty good. Is ok to order more than one of those for a room of 4 people?

You may order as many of them as you wish.

Absolutely!

are you kidding? DD and her husband just got off the magic - she ordered two of them just for herself every night after the last night activity...
(her husband ordered something else for himself, and they both ordered chocolate chip cookies of course)...

you can order as many as you want!

We ordered several of the OHOD. Really impressed by the variety of cheeses. Always disappointed by the number of crackers. Must bring our own crackers next time! The grapes were a welcome touch, too.

Like PrincessShmoo, we ask for extra crackers. The last time we ordered it on our last cruise, they brought an entire sleeve of crackers.

I was pleasantly surprised by how many crackers came with our AHOD on the Wonder in August (we did NOT ask for extra crackers):

Thanks PrincessShmoo. Do you place a standing order for chocolate chip cookies & milk at bedtime through the room service line or with your cabin attendant? This sounds lovely!

Hmm... I wonder if I could ask them to hold the crackers but give me a little extra cheese as I'm gluten-free... And a few of those slices look REALLY skimpy.
