Many people believe this world has more negativities than positivities. Flawed in every way. Apperantly, people don't like the idea of being evil for fun in real life(don't know, why). Wars were made, lives were lost, hidden evil within humans and animals. Technology is considered disturbing the enviroment, causing pollution. Nature is cruel, urban living is a bit broken down, a history of sins, rivalries, batles, and arguments of practically everything(even non-important things). Basically, a living Hell.

There are peopel that want the world to end. They believe that it will be better than way. Many fictional baddies find their previous world flaw as well. Emotion and souls does not go well for them. The old world needs to go and a new world(in Heaven, Hell, or otherwise) can take its place in order for life to start over. The world needs to... reset... to make room for a new world. A new... utopia?

Does anyone believe a new world could really happen and replace the old one? Would anyone want that?

The trouble with this is for one person the world would seem like utopia for another its he!!. How can you not see the beauty in this world when you look at it. Yes there are bad people but I believe the good out number the bad. Just look at the people who rushed to help save the people of Haiti?

A lot of early cultures believed that the world was bad and the people in it were flawed and basically evil. Those cultures developed a cosmology that had some basic common elements particularly among the early South and Central America cultures.

A creator who wanted the best for the world.
A series of refined human creations.
The current race of humans that were as perfect as the creator could make them at that point in time.
An environment that would continually test the humans to make them the best.
And finally, the destruction of the human race to make way for a newer more perfect race of humans.

This is simplifying things a bit, but the point I'm trying to make here is that even going back to ancient Greek writings you find elders bemoaning the state of the world and the behavior of people, and creators who are unhappy with their creations and that are trying to remake them.

I don't believe in a Utopia, I believe that people are just how they are, and that humans are flawed, with some more seriously flawed than others. I also believe that if you live your life by trying to be and do good in the here and now, you might just effect some change. Maybe not big change, and one person can't change the whole world, but if you can effect a little corner of it by spreading niceness, then you're doing something.

Since I do not believe in religion your post is kind hard to answer. Plus you cannot discuss religion on this board.

I am a little disturbed by your quote of.... Apperantly, people don't like the idea of being evil for fun in real life(don't know, why).

Taking religion out of the equation, it is just the same as it ever was. Nothing new.

As far as the world "resetting" to make room for a new utopia, well perfection is impossible and to think that utopia is attainable is crazy talk to me. That is what TV & movies are for.;)

I... happen to enjoy being a jerk.

I didn't really mean to add religion into this. I apoligize if I did.
