UPDATE: I spoke to him yesterday and he sounded alot better than he had been....they were doing a test on Friday, where they put a camera into his heart [through his mouth (?)] but had to stop it because he was coughing too much and they didn't want the infection to go to his lungs. The doctor is going to do one of two things:

1) replace his valve in his heart (it's infected)
2) put him on heavy-dosages of antibiotics

....but his spirits sounded a little better, which is a relief. He still cannot see; he was contacted by the Assoc. for the Blind about possibly helping him to get an operation on his eyes in either Philly or in Newark, but I imagine that's down the road, after the infection has cleared...
