I've only done one layout like this, so far, but what I did was I made a huge journal box on the computer writing all about why we went to Disney that year, then did an overview of the whole trip. Who went, the dates, the airline stuff, favorite rides and/or moments during the trip and then when we thought we'd go back. I embellished the rest of the page with squares I made that had Mickey heads on them (using a punch) and other Mickey type stickers that took up a lot of space (Creative Imaginatins Disney paper and stickers). It's a very traditional Disney page with lots of red, black and white. :)

I'm going to try to post the layout I was describing...

Hope you can see it alright. :wizard:

I like that LO! I might have to borrow some of the ideas... :rolleyes1

"Borrow" away! I have no problem with anyone scraplifting! I like to share and I'm always borrowing ideas from other people. Whenever I get compliments for making Mickey Heads with buttons, I feel a little guilty and always point out that I saw that idea in a magazine. ;)

Here are a few of mine. Sorry for the glare! DS3 was still sleeping, and I didn't want the overhead light to wake him.

I loved seeing your layouts. Did you use postcards for the Mickey hat - the sorcerer hat and the mouse ears? Great idea. :)

This is a layout I did for our first trip to WDW.

Oooh this is very nice! I love the Mickey head balloon things. Is that Disney ribbon or twill that is printed on? Love it! Need it. :rotfl:

Thank you!

The hats are postcards. My favorite postcards are the giant Mickey and Minnie ones. I've used them in two different scrapbooks on my itinerary pages. :)

Nope the balloons are cardstock and the borders are 12 inch borders I got from a kit at WDW, the paper was in the kit too. The Mickey is a sticker and the float was a 4x6 photo that I trimmed with a craft knife.

I did a mosac layout for my first page. I actually have done this several times. For one I had a great night shot of the castle, left that large then with my CM square maker I make small squares with the left over photos or from the scraps. I had donald's feet back of Mickey's head...things that were neat to look at but not good for a full size picture. I would make a title part for the date and where we were.

Wow, those are such cute ideas! I can't believe I've never made a first page like those. I'm going to make one of those once all the holidays are over.

I will try to post my opening page later today. I used my contact sheets and punched out lots of tiny photos from the trip and made a grid (sort of). I "borrowed" the idea from someone over at two peas..............P

Thank you all for your wonderful ideas and even for the pictures, I know I will definately scrap lift all of them. Thanks again, and to all a very Merry Christmas! Lyn

Here are mine. Not too impressive. The smaller one has our reservation information and the amount we paid for a room at All Star Music.
