When you Wish Upon a Star!

So we were waiting for SpectroMagic. Finally it was time for the show! We ended up standing on the wall to get a better look and it was a pretty good view I must say! As we were waiting we were getting bored so we just started taking some pictures. Hehe, just experimenting with our cameras!

Both Ian and I took a lot of pictures of SpectroMagic so here they are!! They are in no order and you might see quite a few repeats because of Ian and I both taking pictures!!

Ian loved SpectroMagic!! He took so many pictures and definitely said it was not what he expected! I’m so glad we watched Fantasia before we left because he knew who a lot of the characters were in the parade. He wasn’t too excited to see a parade while we were in Disney because he doesn’t really like parades but he said this was so different and was really glad we saw it! After SpectroMagic we made our way over to the main hub in front of Cinderella’s Castle to watch Wishes!! We had to kinda hurry because it was getting close to 10:00pm. As we were waiting we took quite a few pictures of the castle, we were trying to get one of every color! So here’s some pics of the castle we took in the like 15 minutes we were waiting for Wishes!

Then Wishes began!! Ooo Ian liked this one too!! He loves fireworks and I always raved about how Disney fireworks were the best you’d ever see and he now agrees!! They lived up and surpassed his expectations!

By this time we were quite tired but we didn’t want to fight the crowds out. So we fought them to get over to the smoking area by the Plaza restaurant. We sat there and had a cigarette as we watched the crazy people fight each other to get to the bus stop where they’d be waiting anyway. We had to wait as well but we could wait sitting down and looking at the beautiful castle! There were extra magic hours at MK tonight but we were exhausted and we knew we’d be back! So after a little while we made our way to the entrance. We left Disney and I asked Ian how he liked his first day there. He said he loved it and couldn’t wait to do more! Ahhh music to my ears! There was a bus waiting there for us when we walked over but we had to stand as there was quite a few people still in front of us. But that was ok with us, we were just tired and figured if we had to stand we’d rather be standing on the bus heading back to the hotel instead of standing in line waiting for another bus! We got back to the hotel by about 11:10pm and headed back to our room. We walked in and our suitcases were there! Woohoo!! They both made it! So we unpacked everything and tried to organize it as best we could but we were tired and just wanted to sleep! Now at this point of the night my feet were killing me. I had bought new shoes that I thought would be so comfortable well it turns out I didn’t wear them enough before we left and the leather on them didn’t have time to stretch out and then rubbed on my feel and just cut them up. Well I guess I wouldn’t be wearing those shoes. Oh well I had plenty of other shoes to choose from! So anyway we unpacked and filled up the cooler we brought with ice and filled up our water bottles so that they would be cold for the next day. Finally we were done and we basically fell into bed and we were out by 12:15. Our first day in Disney was complete and we were both incredibly happy!

and we watched Spectro our first day tooo! was Ian totally blown away by his first step inside MK? Craig was like Holy Mackaroly! lol he was not expecting what he saw at all!

Yay you're back!! We had such a good time! Haha, that's really funny! Hmm the rest of your days better not match up too or something weird's going on here! Oh yeah he was certainly not expecting everything! He looked like a little lost puppy, it was so overwhelming in a good way! His reaction of the castle was just too cute! I can't even describe it right here!

Welcome!! Haha, I'm glad you found the dates! That's something I do all the time! I'll just let you know now I have a horrible memory and forget things all the time so no problem here! We just missed you! Yes I hate that it's now September, the only good thing about September is my birthday is this month!

Our first full day at Disney!! We woke up at around 6:30, or should I say our alarm and wakeup call was for 6:30, I think we lay in bed for a little bit. So finally we got out of bed and took our showers and got ready. As I was getting ready Ian discovered that our cooler had leaked all over the place! Now if you remember we had put the cooler on the little table with my carryon bag that had my notebook, my zune, and the mousekeeping envelopes in them! So everything was wet!! My notebook was soaked but still writable on half of it, unfortunately the mousekeeping envelopes were completely destroyed. So I ended up just putting a note with the money. I was so disappointed because it took me forever to figure out how to make those envelopes! Well needless to say I was a little ticked that morning but we finished getting ready and ended up putting the cooler in the bath tub. We grabbed our drinks and headed out for a quick cigarette. Today we were going to Epcot!! So we made our way to the bus by 7:50. We literally waited maybe like 2 seconds for the bus. We ended up being the only ones on the bus. Our bus driver was really nice, he saw that Ian was shivering so he turned down the air conditioning for us! Wasn’t that so nice! We got to Epcot by about 8:10 and got in the line at the turnstile. As we were walking up to the turnstile I took a picture of the banners at Epcot, I really liked that the icons were balloons in the banners. Sorry it’s fuzzy, I think my lens fogged up from my cold drink in my bag!

We were really close up to the front, maybe the second family. We went through the turnstiles and slowly made our way up to the rope drop. Everyone around us was practically running but we knew you couldn’t go very far so there was no point in running…yet. We got to see the opening show. Here’s some pictures we took of it.

When the rope dropped we raced over to Soarin’, with everyone else! We got a fastpass for Soarin’ and now ran back across the park to get on Test Track.

This is when my feet started to really bother me. I don’t think that really quick walk across the park was a very good idea! Anyway we got in line and waited about 10 minutes. Now Ian was nervous about this one because I didn’t tell him anything about it (on purpose) and he had seen a few videos of it and he thought that the entire ride was just crashing into the wall. So he was not very happy with me. So we went on it and he really liked it!! Haha, I told him he would he just didn’t listen to me! He’s beginning to like thrill rides more!! Then we went on Mission Space.

Of course we picked the spinning side, I refuse to go on the other side I think it’s boring. Ian said he’d be fine on this one, spinning things don’t bother him. Well we were with a father and son and the son was kinda annoying. He was about 10 years old and thought he was very cool, it was kinda cute cause he was trying to be all cool and stuff but after a while it got annoying. Now I like to play with the buttons and stuff while you’re in the actual ride and the kid kept saying they didn’t do anything! Now I know they don’t actually do anything but I still like to pretend! It kinda got me down. But I enjoyed the ride anyway and so did Ian. After that it was time to use our fastpasses for Soarin’. I asked for the front row, it’s just so much better in the front row, no one’s stinky feet getting in your way! Ian really really really liked this one! He thought it was very cool! Then we headed over to Journey into Imagination!

I needed to. Even though it’s not as good as the original one, I need to see Figment! I miss the Dreamkeeper though! They need to bring him back! Ian thought this one was cute, he probably would have liked the original one better. I made the executive decision not to go see Honey I Shrunk the Audience. If you remember from my trip report and for those of you just joining I hate it!! It scares me and I really just hate everything about it! Ian didn’t really care so since I knew we weren’t going to be able to do everything (and because I hate it) we decided to skip it. Next we headed over to Nemo.

One of Ian’s very few requests was that we see Crush, so that was definitely on our list! We ended up riding on the Clammobiles! It wasn’t a long line otherwise I don’t think they’re worth the time, but it is cute! We looked around for a bit before we went to see Crush. Here’s some pics we took.

After that we went to wait for Crush. We had to wait a little bit so we did that Mr. Ray’s quiz thing. Geez those questions are hard! And we picked the easy one! I don’t know how kids would get those right! We ended up only missing one but we had to think about them! Finally it was time to go see Crush! It was so cute!! It seemed longer than I remembered, which is fine with me because we had an amazing group of kids, they were so cute! They really made it fun! After we got out it was about 12:45 and we were hungry so it was time for some lunch. Before that Ian took this pic of Spaceship Earth. He thought it was cool to take pics of SE from different perspectives.

We ate at Electric Umbrella and it was crowded! It took us forever to find a seat. Finally we did but we were both starting to get upset because we just wanted to sit and eat! Um I think we both had the burgers, don’t know what Ian had for dessert but I got the fruit salad. After lunch we had a quick cigarette and then decided we probably should go to the bathroom before we went on Universe of Energy. We went on Universe of Energy. Ian thought it was ok, not his favorite ride but he didn’t dislike it. Then we were going to head over to Club Cool because Ian had to try something, he just didn’t know it yet! As we were walking over a man came over and gave us 4 fastpasses for Soarin for like right now! I was excited because I wanted to go on it again but we didn’t have another fastpass and I wasn’t going to wait in line. So we headed over to Club Cool first and I had Ian try Beverly! Hehe, he made such a face! I don’t have a picture of it but believe me it was funny! He told me that he’s never drinking anything I tell him to unless I drink it first! Hehe, what a bad girlfriend I am! Then it was time to use our fastpasses!! Woohoo! So we headed over but first one more picture of SE!

Before we went on I looked for a couple to give our extra fastpasses to. It took forever to find and then I found the perfect people. And this was by far our most magical moment while we were at Disney. The couple must have never been to Disney before because they went over to ask about fastpasses but they were all out for the day and the line was about 90 minutes long so they went to turn around and leave. So I ran up to them and told them I had two fastpasses that we weren’t using and they were for right now. Well her eyes lit up and she gave me a hug! She was so excited that she actually hugged me. She was literally jumping up and down with excitement. I won’t post their names here but I will remember them forever! They introduced themselves and the husband/boyfriend looked just as excited as she was. The woman went skipping down the queue. I mean all out skipping down the line! Then she put her arms out and pretended she was flying! It was the best thing I’ve ever seen! She was soooo happy! Ian and I figured it was probably their first trip, their first time on Soarin’, and their last day at Epcot so they were just too excited! We talked about that couple the rest of the trip! I was so glad we could give them that magical moment! We wished we could have seen how they liked the ride but we never saw them again. I can’t tell you how much better our ride was because we just felt so good because of that couple! I still tear up thinking about it because it was just so magical! After that we were tired so we decided to head back to Pop. We got back at about 4:10.

I had extra fastpasses for EE at AK..when I got off the bus at AKL I said to everyone waiting to get on that I had 2 fast passes for EE, and did anyone want them? and this is what I got in return.. Everyone looked at me like I was a nutjob! Finally some man asked what they were for again, and I told him and he was like "seriously..no one else wants them?" and I was like..guess not..so he took them. Just had to share my attempt at spreading FP joy!

Seems like you and Ian got a lot done in the morning! Did you feel like you almost lost your life while getting soarin' fps? I felt like I could have died with the throng of people that were racing towards it!

We really did pretty much everything except the countries, it was a good morning! Oh you should have seen me that morning, I was so furious! Ian kept telling me to stop because I was kinda loud and it was kinda early but at that point I just didn't care! It ended up not being that big of a deal but I was up early and I am soooo not a morning person!

It was such a great part of our trip! Oh I've had that happen to my family as well! No one understood what we were trying to do! Oh well it's the thought that counts. Oh god, it was kinda scary! I'm actually glad they have CM stay in front of the people, I remember when they didn't. Especially at HS, that run to RnRC and TOT group could definitely run someone over!!

It was so amazing! We kept looking for them the rest of the trip just to see how they liked Soarin'. Plus they were like the cutest couple ever! I love seeing "adults" acting like kids again! It's what Disney is all about!

i love your epcot updates~~ !! I am so sorry about you cooler leaking what a way to start the morning! That bus driver sounded so nice too with turning down the AC those buses are freezing sometimes!!

I am glad that Ian like the rides in epcot.... by the way what is club cool? LOL i have never been in there-- do they have little sample drinks for you to try or something?

That is so sweet of you guys to give your fast passes to another couple I am sure you made there day! And its great that they were so happy you gave them some disney magic~~!!

i love epcot i would say its my second favorite park we are going to epcot on our day too also I will be waiting to read more I am taking my laptop to disney next week with me too So i can still update and read updates!!!
