A new Bump thread!

kmall: omg I cannot believe it has been 5 months since DH got ill. That is so so stressful. I am happy to see that the new doctors seem to have him on right track. Unbelievable how long an infection can stay within your body.

We had six inches of snow on Wednesday and I lost power again. Still waiting for it to come back up. My biggest problem is my mom who lives with me and is on oxygen. Had oxygen company bring more supplies last night but the cylinders were broken.. UGGGH

We have to find a place to move her today until they can be replaced. I have many friends who have power it is just getting my 85 year old mom to go.

Going back to beach this weekend to rip up one last carpet. I am going to write an appeal letter to FEMA. I figure if I can get a loan, I can fix up house and rent to someone who has been displace due to the hurricane.. This will help defray my loan costs as well. I hate to sell the home because it was in my DH's family since 1963 and I feel such an attachment to it.

Oh and weather this weekend is 55 degrees... Crazy huh

Jean - Hopefully your mom will agree to move in with friends but I know that can be a tough sell sometimes and I hope you can work something out for your other house

Mad at myself bump.
Don't know what possessed me to agree to teaching the Defensive Driving class today. Just because I felt bad cause they couldn't find anyone to do it this week. Will be so glad when my instructor license expires Dec 14th then I won't feel guilty about not wanting to do the class.
Sorry just venting.

kATHY: What is going on with DH? Are new antibiotics kicking in? hope so

well found out that shore house literally sunk(ugH) now have to get someone to lift it and find a crew to cut sheet rock and get mold out of walls. Need to do this quickly to prevent additional mold. Had my pity party today but tomorrow will roll up sleeves and try to formulate plan.
This home is my retirement and I need to somehow keep it. Might go to FEMA location and see if anything can be done about a loan.

I have decided I will not lose this battle.

sorry to hear that... I have to work uncompensated OT, 8 hours every two weeks.. I know it does not sound like a lot but I get tired of working for free...

Anna - That's awful! I know you had to do it but you must be exhausted......

Jean - That's hard news about your house; guess you are in for a long rehab and more money you hadn't planned on borrowing.

DH is recovering and actually cooked our dinner today. But his emotional state is shaky. He doesn't want to spend time after Thanksgiving dinner (up with my Mom) talking with my family for an hour or two. I have to work on him a bit before then so he will let us stay and visit with my family. We haven't been together as a family for many, many months and my family has been a wonderful support during his 5 months of illness/recovery. I don't know what is going on in his head anymore......We actually fought Friday night over one complaint I brought home about work. He doesn't want me to bring any 'baggage' or stress home with me. If that's the case, then let me quit! I can't win with him anymore.

Enough ranting....thanks for listening all!

Just a weekend for rants, lol.
Kathy I think maybe your dh is maybe worried & a little scared about his health right now. I'm sure he knows how much you do for him. Hope he improves soon & that you get to spend some time with your family.
