A Mouse, Two Little Minnows who wear out Grumpy and Test Track Moves to Naples 11/26

Goodness, I was so far behind. We were really happy that we got to meet up with you guys again!!
Great end of Disney pics
I love Chip and Dale
I do not love Stitch

Tomorrow is my Hubby's bday.

I will have to show Cayley ur updates. She had a hard time this am missing everyone so it will cheer her up

Happy Birthday Mary's hubby.

A girl after my own heart--no Stitch and yay to Chip and Dale.

Tell Cayley not to be upset. Tell her to draw me a picture and mail it to me and I'll write her back.

Sorry I've been absent on here lately. I've looked in and seen new updates, but haven't had much opportunity to comment.

As you predicted, I did love the hat in Germany. That was a great one!

I definitely need to try the Plaza sometime. I've heard good things about it.

Your balloon story always chokes me up a little.

Glen, I understand. As long as you come back eventually, it's okay. :rotfl2:

It really was a great hat. We got such a kick out of it. The Plaza is a favorite--and always our last meal of our trip.

You are a softie, Glen.

So sorry to see the Disney portion of your trip come to an end. It sounds like you had such a wonderful time and you really did and saw so much.

I love the Crystal Palace and the Plaza, too. Two of my favs!

What - no whipped cream, no cherries????? I love that stuff!

I really think it is so cool that you give away a balloon in honor of your father. That is such a wonderful gesture and I think its a beautiful lesson for the recipient and her parents. Really lovely.

I love Mark's Eeyore hat. Eeyore is my favorite!

Looking forward to San Marco.

Good evening, MaryEllen. Usually I hate to see my Disney portion end, but so much excitement followed that I was okay with it.

CP and Plaza are must-do's every year for us.

Nope...no whipped cream and no cherries; Grumpy doesn't like them either.

I always have a great feeling after giving out a balloon in Dad's memory. I always ask the parents first, away from the child, just in case they are uncomfortable with it. We've been very lucky the three times we've done it thus far with really great parents and child.

Mark has had those Eeyore ears so long...people try to beg him to sell them to him.

I may or may not do a Marco Island update tonight. I may be mean and wait until tomormrow for Nicki's birthday to start it. I'm so mean. :rotfl::rotfl:

OK Kathy, I'm almost completely caught up so I should be able to finish up the last few installments while waiting for our flight tomorrow morning!

See you in 10 days!!

I think you should do the hat routine with Mackie...you'll have a blast.

Markie will do great coaching at high school level (he's already had experience with kids from ages 5 - 13 and they love him). What is it with boys when they turn 21 they want to "drink around the world?" Markie is 22 and hasn't been to Disney in ten years; he's constantly bugging us to take him. Too bad we go while he is in school. :lmao::lmao:

Yes, and you will have to skip deluxe to afford all of those drinks. ;)

 I actually told him about "drinking around the world," and "the monorail crawl."
His eyes glazed over when I described what it was all about. He said he didn't think he would want to get that drastic, but did want to have some of the drinks I had when we went this last time. :goodvibes (He said he wanted to be able to enjoy being at Disney and not in the room sick  He's no dummy! :lovestruc)
He said they all tasted really good (they were all the fruity one's that hid the taste of the alcohol), yes I'm one of those mom's who allows her DS18 to try her drinks/wine. So sue me! :rotfl:

Gee, I had to back up like 2 pages to find the actual update!! Loved it, though!!

I wondered if this year would be any easier for your Balloon Give-away. Glad that the memory is still there, yet it becomes easier to do.

:thumbsup2

Didn't make it to the Plaza- although it was on our plans. Next time....

Marco Island, here we come!!

So we finished our train ride and walked the back route to Tomorrowland. Mark and I both hit the restroom and started to walk over to Buzz when we saw Chip and Dale and decided to head in line for our pictures with them (we've never missed a year with Chip and Dale). Of course, we got in line and JUST BEFORE it was our turn, they needed to take their break. We agreed to wait because they said it would be just a few minutes. So we are standing, first in line, waiting for them to come back, when this little guy appeared:

DSC01394.jpg

It was PUSH! Now we'd heard all about him but had never actually encountered him. So for the next ten minutes we had a conversation with a garbage can and let me tell you, it was a HOOT!

Push asked us our names. He then said that he saw we were celebrating our anniversary and asked us how many years. We gave him the responses and then he asked us if we rode Space Mountain. I told him no because Mark had surgery and couldn't ride. Push then asked if Mark was going to be okay and we told him yes. Push started spinning around because he was happy that Mark was going to be okay.
Been keeping up, but had to comment on this part! Push sounds so cool, and we haven't seen him before! Will have to keep a lookout for him on our upcoming trip!
After standing in the heat during all of this, we decided to do the Tomorrowland People Mover before Buzz to cool off a bit.

Love this picture!
PUSH was really fun, Michelle. We've talked about going to California to go to Disneyland but we keep coming back to DW. :confused3
Somewhere at my house we have two DL non-expiring tickets with a couple days left on them. I wonder where those are  and if they're still good after 25 years??? :sad2:
Thank you for the nice words about the balloon.
Love this idea too! It already has me thinking about something I can do each trip in memory of my Mom! :sad1:
ME TOO! Then I could give you a BIG BIRTHDAY HUG tomorrow.
Sshhhh...dont tell anyone ;)
YOUR BIRTHDAY TOMORROW????[/B] At least I didn't post an age. ;) :rotfl2::rotfl2: LOVE YOU!
It's Nicki's BIRTHDAY????

:bday: NICKI!!!!!! :woohoo: :yay:  :cool1: :cheer2:
And a  from me to go with the one Kathy wanted to give you!!!

Thanks for the love Marv!

Remember what it was like when you were a kid and it was your birthday? You would bounce out of bed and be thrilled all day long? Well I could barely pull my tired, sore, OLD bones out of bed this morning and the first text I received was from my sister reminding me once again that she is younger and I am just 2 steps from the big 4-0. So I text her back that at least I got the looks in the family...havent heard a peep out of her since

:rotfl: That's pretty funny! Glad I got the brains AND the looks in my family.....:rolleyes1
And I don't want to even hear about tired OLD bones! Wait until you get mine and Kathy's age! (well, especially Kathy's age....) :scared1: I don't think I can remember what it felt like to get out of bed at your age!!! :confused3 Ah, to still be young and beautiful!!! ;)

BTW, who needs Kathy to rat you out when you tell us all your age yourself!!! :rotfl2:

Ooh Kathy is going to get you on that one!

And I dont mind being 38, not when I still get carded at the grocery store (granted I know the kid and he is a huge flirt so it probably just him trying to make me feel better!)

The one think I am worried about is the 40 thing, holy crap! The thought of turning 40 is freaking me out :scared1:

I wouldn't worry about it if I was you. You will only be one day older than you were the day before! I figured the choice was to turn the big 4-0, and then the big 5-0, or smell incense burning.......:rolleyes1 Besides, being fans of Disney that Peter Pan syndrome kicks in. Even at 50+ I can still act childish.....just ask DW!!! :rotfl:

I won't sue you. I used to let my kids take a sip when they were that age too. Now it is I who take a sip of theirs to see if I like it. :lmao::lmao:

Didn't I link my last update? I'll have to go back and check now.

Yes, each year gets a little easier. The first year was awful...I couldn't even talk through the tears. Poor Grumpy had to do it for me; last year was still quite tearful, but I was able to manage it until the parents gave me a hug and so did the little one. This year, I think it was more tears of happiness that I could put a smile on a child's face in memory of my dad.

PUSH can usually be found in Tomorroland I am told. I wonder if those DL tickets are any good either. Marv, I have to tell you...it really warms my heart to do this balloon thing for my dad. I know it would have made him happy and proud (especially not wasting the money and letting the balloon go ;)).

Thanks for the love Marv!

Are you TWO done hijacking my thread now?

Nicki, I already sent you a message on FB, sent you a text message, etc. but HAPPY 38th BIRTHDAY BESTEST FRIEND! Mark and I love you and we miss you and Todd so much. And I really DON'T want to hear about being 38. When you hit my age then we'll talk. And you got MORE THAN just the good looks in your family, believe me!

And Marv is right. No matter your age, there is still an inner child in all of us. Just look at these two clowns:

EXCUSE ME, MARV. When you get to be my age???? If memory serves me correctly (yes, I know it is the first thing to go), we've been married to our respective spouses for about the same number of years so that would put us close in age unless you married when you were 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I've been at my job 35+ years, but was under 12 when I started (sat on a phone book to reach the typewriter). :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm older, prettier and SMARTER too.

How do you make the links to other posts?

Here we go:

First you have to find the post you would like to link. When you find it click on the post # on the right hand side of the screen #1. A new screen opens up showing the post and saying on the top left of the screen 'Single Post'. Copy the address of the page #2.

Chapterlinks1-1.jpg

Next on the original screen you want to goto the post where you have saved your chapter links (at the beginning of your TR) and click edit on the bottom right. Then you need to click 'Go Advanced' #3

Chapterlinks4-1.jpg

On the next screen you will see this little icon #4 Click that and a little box will pop up. Paste your web address that you copied in step #2 in this box. Make sure there is only one http:// ... you only want one to show in the box.

One the address is copied click OK. You will see something like this #5

Chapterlinks3-1.jpg

The part that is grayed out is the part you can change to say what ever you want like... 1) Leaving Chicago or 2) Arriving in Florida.
You can add color or size to the gray part just like a normal post!

I hope this helps you and it works! LOL
