A Mouse, Two Little Minnows who wear out Grumpy and Test Track Moves to Naples 11/26

Well, I THOUGHT I had subscribed...guess not! :lmao: Hey, Tim, thanks for the tutorial on posting chapter links, I'll have to try that one out myself.

Kathy, the bag from Karin and Tom is so cool. Did anyone recognize you in the parks with it?

And I have to say that looking at the pictures of CSR makes me wonder why I ever thought about going anywhere else!

All I can say is you are lucky we are not going to WDW the same time or I would have to strip you of that shirt (use it to wash my car ha ha), march you down to the nearest sports store and slap a Sox shirt on your back :rotfl:

I am very disappointed in you Timmy....you should be RED SOX BABY!!! My beloved Red Sox dissed by a CT resident...you should be ashamed :rotfl2:

LOL...I live in CT and I feel like it's mostly Yankees, us Red Sox fans are definitely in the minority in this state! It's really sad actually! :rotfl:

CT is 1/2 Yankees & 1/2 Red Sox... I'm lucky enough to live right where the dividing line is. We actually get along with Red Sox fans here. Amazing, isn't it? :lmao::lmao:

I don't know, I feel like I'm surrounded by Yankees fans here! :rotfl: :scared1:

Love the pictures of CSR Kathy! :lovestruc It looks like such a beautiful resort, I'm kind of sad I won't be staying there in November, but maybe I will try it next year if I go! :cool1: Can't wait to hear about your day at DHS!

I'm in CT, too, and have plenty of friends who are Yankees fans and plenty of friends who love the Red Sox.

Welcome; it wasn't too bad to catch up as I've just really gotten started; but I'm glad you are here.

LOL! not too bad at the time, but look now. You have 9 pages. I have been working on my TR for weeks and I am just NOW up to nine pages. :rotfl2: Your threads move very very quickly.

Oh just wait, when I start calling him Timothy we have a problem :rotfl:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Well at least you remember to take pictures...unlike a certain bright shirt wearing person I know.

This is VERY true. :rotfl2:

Not at the parks (unless they didn't come up to me), but it did come in handy at the pool when we were having our DIS meets. :)

I don't know, I feel like I'm surrounded by Yankees fans here! :rotfl: :scared1:

No Yankee fan here. Diehard (and embarrassed) Cubs fan.

I'm glad you like the CSR pictures...there will be plenty more as the report goes on.

That is only because I have a bunch of "ALIENS" who come and hijack it all the time. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

So Mark and I got to the Studios shortly after 8 a.m. We went to the turnstyle and put in our key cards and the man said to us, "there are no tickets on your key cards." I said, "What do you mean, there are no tickets? We have a package with free dining, etc." He said it wouldn't be a problem and we just had to go to guest relations and they would take care of it.

I have to admit this is the FIRST time that the CSR screwed something up during our stay. I was really frosting at the time because I wanted to get over and get Fast Passes for Toy Story Mania and ride it as well. We had a very nice woman at the Guest Relations window who called the CSR and got it all straightened out. It probably took about 10 minutes or so, but it felt like a lot longer. For our trouble, she gave us four Fast Passes. She said they were good for almost any attraction. The exception being Toy Story Mania! :scared1: So in other words they were good for Tower of Terror or Rock & Roll Roller Coaster. Of course, Mark could not ride any of those this year because of his surgery, but we held on to them in case I decided to ride Tower of Terror.

So off we headed to the turnstyles again and went to Toy Story Mania. We got our Fast Passes with a starting return time of 10:55. It was only a 20-minute wait so we decided to ride while we were there.

Took this pic since it is our oldest son's name:

I don't remember the score, but Grumpy beat me (I swear he cheats!).

From there we really had no destination in mind and just started walking. Here are a few pics I took while we walked:

We ended up by Muppets and decided to go see that and then we would grab some breakfast afterwards.

DSC00857.jpg

Of course, we had to go into the store by the Muppets and we ended up with our FIRST hat picture of the trip:

DSC00851.jpg

We were going to go into the Christmas Store at the Studios since it was right there, but it doesn't open until 11 a.m. But we got a picture of me in front of it:

DSC00852.jpg

Up next, breakfast and the rest of our morning at the Studios.

So we finished with Muppets, first hat pic and the Christmas shop being closed. We didn't feel like walking back to the front of the park to go to Starring Rolls for breakfast, and Mark had to have something to eat so he could take his medications. So we ended up at:

DSC00855.jpg

I had a cappucino and Mark had a water and a Chocolate Chip Muffin (sorry...I forgot to take pictures).

After Mark finished up, I wanted to be sure to get these two pictures this year as we have never done it in our numerous visits.

This year we were DETERMINED to do the Animation Studios tour as we had never done that before either. So we got into line...there were maybe 10 people in front of us; six of those ten belonged to one family. And I was really losing my temper with the family. Don't get me wrong...we have kids and we took our kids to Disney and I know they can't always stand still or that they get antsy. But these kids were outright rude and obnoxious. They would push us, literally, to run out of the line and then the father would go and get them and bring them back; then they'd be pushing and shoving and stepping on our feet in the process. I finally got fed up and said something to Mark and, of course, the people did not speak English, but I'm sure they got the gist that I was not happy as I could see the grandfather say something to the mother who had been on the phone the ENTIRE time and she turned to me and smiled. I told Mark when we entered the theater to go in the opposite direction. Like I said, I understand kids are antsy, etc., but these kids were just darn rude as were their parents. Anyway...back to our topic...the Animation Studios tour. We sat in the theater and watched the process of how a cartoon is done, etc. We then walked out into the gallery and looked around at all the cartoons and then had our picture taken with Sorcerer Mickey:

DSC00861.jpg

Obviously we don't have our photopass pictures back yet, but I'll either insert them at each appropriate spot or just post all the good ones at one time.

After seeing Sorcerer Mickey we went to see if the next drawing class was starting and it was just about to begin so Mark and I grabbed two of the last four desks available. I looked to the front of the classroom and let out a sigh of relief that we were NOT drawing Stitch (as many of you know, I am NOT a fan of Stitch). We were to draw Donald Duck. Now, I always stunk at art class and just am not good at it so I had no idea how my picture would turn out. Well, I'll let you be the judge (but if you are my friend you will certainly agree that MINE is better than Grumpy's drawing :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).

DSC00865.jpg

I am so glad we did this; we really enjoyed it and next time want to spend more time in the gallery.

We decided to go back and use our Fast Passes for TSM. When we got there, we noticed that the Fast Pass Machines were already covered up and no more Fast Passes for the day (this was at 11:15 a.m.). We waited less than 5 minutes in the FP lane and were on our way.

And, yes, Grumpy CHEATED again as you'll see in the next picture:

DSC00869.jpg

From there we went to the Great Movie Ride. In our personal opinions, this really needs an updating, but I'm not sure how much they can do with it:

DSC00874.jpg

By this time I was hungry. Mark wasn't starving, but he said he'd split a sandwich with me. So we headed off to Starring Rolls Cafe and had a light lunch there:

DSC00881.jpg

This was a very good ham sandwich.

We got a bag of chips and a cookie with it:

DSC00882.jpg

Mark got an iced tea and I drank the water he had refilled from the Writers Shop earlier.

We were getting hot by this time and it was too long to the next Beauty & The Beast Show and I really didn't want to do Tower of Terror myself, so we gave out our four fast passes and hit a few shops before heading back to the CSR for an afternoon swim/rest and a DIS meet before our night at the Halloween Party. And, of course, hitting those shops, you know that there is hat pictures. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Even I got into the act:

Up next, meeting DISer's and swimming at the Dig Site pool

Those hat pictures are hilarious!
That sandwich looks soo good.
I have never seen the umbrella or snowman, and I am bound and determined to find them next trip.

Great pictures! I'm a little jealous that you got to ride TSM twice, but then again, the whole ride it first and grab a fast pass strategy hadn't occurred to me for the last trip. Suffice it say, I'm stealing that one! :rolleyes1 I also cannot get over the number of things (like the umbrella and the Chinese laundry) we never saw when we were at DHS. How crazy!. More stuff to look out for next time, I guess.

Be prepared. Be VERY prepared. There will be a lot of hat pictures (it's become a tradition with my DH).

I knew of the umbrellas (Singin in the Rain) from other TR's and was on the lookout for it; the snowman we've seen before.

No, grab the fast pass and THEN ride it and come back later with the FP!

Ugh, those kids! How irritating. It's amazing how some parents are completely oblivious of their children acting like that - or if they do see, they don't say anything! :headache: Fine, let them run around/blow off steam, but when they are bumping into others...:sad2:

However, aside from that, it looks like a great morning at DHS! Sorry about the fiasco with your tickets, but at least your plan still worked out. :thumbsup2 How was your coffee at the Writer's Stop? I had an iced mocha there, it was GREAT!!!

:rotfl: at grumpy cheating on tsmm!! and boo at not being able to use fp's for tsmm..lame!

I love what a great sport grumpy is about trying on all the different hats! I may have to make bob do that on our trip..then put all the pics in a frame for is mom! she would love that!

looking forward to more!

Fun update! We took pics outside the Christmas Shop this trip too. I love the Muppet show-the guys up in the both crack me up!! Great hat pics!!

I'm a dollar short and a day late, but I'm here! :goodvibes

Welcome! I'm really glad you joined us.

Looking forward to the Dig Site pics. Love that pool!

Too tired tonight...but they'll be up tomorrow.

looking forward to your dismeet...

:wave2: Connie

Just coming over to your TR!

First, Cookie is a cutie!!! We had a black poodle that was about the same size for 18 years. Teashia was a part of the family and it was hard when the time came that she needed to be put to sleep but she had many, many health issues and it had to be done.

Gotta love the site of palm trees! We have been to Florida many times and its still one of my favorite sites. I just want to lounge around them all day. :rotfl: What awesome surprises in your room! Kinda like Christmas, only better?!?!

Wow! The resort looks amazing!

Love the hat Mark tried on...is he a hat guy? I could never get Jon into a hat. Not even a baseball cap! :lmao:

Love the drawing. I think that is one of those things we will skip. On top of the kiddos being to young, I am the world worst when it comes to drawing.

Those hats are just too much! :rotfl:
