Weather ~ hot and mainly sunny 79*F
A Merry Mickey Christmas INDEX
Time to hit the parks again although we didn't rush to get out today, we sunbathed by the pool for a while after breakfast then made our way to Animal Kingdom.

We didn't get there until nearly noon and were amazed to find it was very quiet, I was expecting it to be busy.

As we were entering the park we were delighted to find DiVine, we've never seen her before.

We rode Expedition Everest several times, Dinosaur and the girls did Primeval Whirl then it was time for our meal at Yak & Yeti.

The blue drink on the left is the most refreshing drink ever; it's blue curacao, coconut and sprite and we've been recreating it at home all summer!

I'd read loads of reviews of this restaurant but I don't remember any saying how large the portions were, they were ginormous and when our appetisers arrived we wished we'd shared!
Danielle, Francesca and Bryan chose lettuce cups with minced chicken and maple tamarind sauce (see what I mean, they could easily have shared this)

whilst Samantha and I picked pork egg rolls with chili plum dipping sauce. Again, this would have served three people but oh my, they were delicious and the chili plum sauce is to die for.

Samantha, Danielle and Francesca all chose the kobe burger and fries for their entree

and Bryan and I had shaoxing steak and shrimp with more of that yummy chili plum dipping sauce mmmmmmmmmmm.

The service in here was terribly slow which was a good thing for us, otherwise I don't think we'd have been able to attempt a dessert! We were seated upstairs in a corner seat by the window so had a great view for people watching when we spotted this cast member holding a child's shoe.

You're probably now going to think we're totally nuts but we were all in a happy, Christmassy mood (how could we be anything else at Disney for Christmas?) and we found this so funny. I mean there's this guy holding a shoe approaching everyone walking past to see if it was theirs, it was like it was straight out of Cinderella! Then to top it all these two ladies approached him and they were dead ringers for the ugly sisters!! I don't think I've ever laughed so much in my life.
By the time our desserts finally came we'd recovered from our hysterics, the CM with the shoe had moved on (to lost property, I hope) and we managed to find room to sample them.
Danielle and Francesca, as usual, went for the chocolate option

Samantha, Bryan and I all opted for the mango pie which is lush
